    Right now, all we can do is moan and speculate. Tomorrow evening, we can discuss what has happened - or not happened. I'm tired of uncertainty.

    Do remember that the Irish Embassy gives these letters NOW, they could fall in line with the others and stop doing it at any time. Don't depend on it continuing forever. I have no inside knowledge, it just seems like a reasonable thing to plan for.

    If you haven't used that account for a while, you may want to check that it's still open and that your money is still there. There have been reports of dormant accounts being closed - I haven't heard if you can get the money back. TIT, so it's likely in someone's pocket.

    I use Lazada a lot. I got fed up going round a store, being told "no hab" when I KNOW they hab! Sitting in my chair and browsing is so much easier, and with a better range too.

    I was UK Civil Service before retiring. As a middle-aged, straight, white, male, there was no discrimination against me. But. There was some project or other for just about every other group you can think of. Which added up to discrimination against me by the back door. We ended up with some right incompetents in charge because they fit the quotas.

    So, they're now admitting that Songkran is a risk. Cancel and ban travelling to the villages please.

    Doesn't matter really, given the Thai attitude to maintenance, they wouldn't be active for long anyway. The only question would be how many die when they go wrong, submarines aren't the most forgiving form of transport.

    I would consider an electric bike when mine needs replacing. But. I'm a condo dweller with nowhere to charge one. Does anyone's condo have charging points?

    Trams use existing roads and normal traffic can still use them between trams. The hard bit would be explaining to the locals that trams can't dodge! ????

    Well, my parents made sure we could swim from an early age. Why don't Thai parents do this instead of waiting for the government to act?

    I liked SURE in the UK, found out by accident that it's REXONA here.

    Likely. My Dad came home one day in his mid 70's, handed Mum his car keys, and said that he shouldn't drive now. Something had happened, but we never found out what. Whatever it was, he had the sense to see the problem and deal with it, he never drove again. It's the ones who don't realise who are the problem.

    We all hope that lockdowns are gone now. But, if there has to be one, my vote goes for 10-19 April.

    I seem to remember that, only a couple of days ago, they were trying to work out how to re-route trade to get around the sanctions. Did the wind change?

    Right or wrong. People were alive, and are now dead. People had homes, now they have piles of rubble. People were safe, now they aren't. People had futures, now they don't. Seems obvious to me where the blame lies.

    They still won't get many tourists while many of the activities hat tourists come for are closed, or have to shut early.
