Bangkok company is
High Project 1990 Co Ltd.
02 511 4574
www.highproject1990.com
There are several phone numbers so if that one is no good then come back, although you can find on the web site anyway.
Good luck.

As I said...I would want a specialist to do it for me as its not just the measuring and fitting and welding but all the wiring like putting a master switch inside the house as well as using the rermotes to open and shut.
Thai handymen are very good workers but many of them are also very good bodgers.
Still its up to the individual to choose....lol

I had mine fitted about six years ago and it's still going strong.
A Bangkok company and they charged about eighteen thousand baht.
If you want the name and number then say so and I will get it tomorrow when it's light.
You can buy all the bits in Global but I would want a specialist to fit it.

Presumably you know you are going to partake of a "little" alcohol when you first arrive in KK so why dont you check into a hotel then???

I think I ought to add something to my last post before I start getting moaned at.
I am in no way saying there is anything wrong with the town for those that have chosen to live there, but I am saying that there is nothing that attract's me to move there myself....lol

Gotta laugh when a Thai reporter asks a simple question and a bunch of you start trying to mock them cause you think you know better.
I was not mocking him krisb, I simply asked where he got the ridiculous idea about Nong Khai and he could not or would not answer the question to which I then stated I would not move up here. How is that mocking?
To be honest I would put money on the fact that the majority of people in the world who are not regular Thailand holidaymakers have not even heard of Nong Khai....I certainly hadn't until I visited Thailand for the first time. And now that I do know of Nong Khai and have indeed visited the town myself I am even more sure that I wouldn't live there.

Well I guess there is no valid source then, just another rash statement dreamt up by someone wishing to grab a headline, oh well.....I won't consider moving to Nongkai after all....lol

Hey isaangeorge, I did say "most ex-pats"...lol
I live in Isaan myself, although down in Korat, and yes it has some things going for it but then so does the south and the north of Thailand, it all depends on your tastes and requirements.
HL

I do not live in Nongkhai but I would hazard a guess that the reason is the same as most ex-pats who live in Isaan.....their girlfriends or wife's were born there and wanted to live near their family's. Lol

All in English, you mean on astro or thai local channels
If you have a PSI HD set top box then you can get English commentary from the Thai broadcast.

RS have won their court battle and the ruling that only 22 matches are free to air stands.
So if you want the choice of the world cup games then you have to buy a box of one sort or another....lol

The QQ Bar in Chiang Mai will try to have the games but the curfew must be lifted
No curfew worries for the Italy match, it doesn't start till five am.

I said earlier that I would report on the Set Top Box when I got it.
Well, unless you want it specifically for the world cup then dont bother, there isnt one single programme in English Language unless it is one of the many many channels that are blanked out by the coup.
You can live in hope that the court tomorrow overturns the original ruling but I cant see it myself, after all RS paid out a lot of money for the rights and will want that money back from somewhere.
If anyone else has the box and wants the English commentary I have worked out how to do it. Press the audio button and it just shows one audio channel but you can use the right/left curser button to change from stereo to mono and then right and left. Well put it on right side and the commentary is in English.

As per above post......if Mam is available she is excellent and knowledgable, but if she is busy when you come then my wife also works as an interpreter and may be free.

Pomozki, out of interest, do you already have the satellite dish in place to connect the set top box to?
The phone numbers are all to be found on the website that I have already posted a link to, but they don't speak English.
The price shown on that site is for two boxes so you can halve that to about 800 or so for one, which is for the non-hd box which is all you would need if you only have an old tv.
You should have AV connections on your tv somewhere, they are the red, white and yellow connections.

CTH bought the rights to show the premier league for three years so nobody else will be showing the EPL until at least until 2016/17 season.
RS has the rights for the world cup.
Unless you want to watch the games that are being broadcast from another country (ie. over the internet) then you will need a set top box as described earlier.
Yesterday I ordered a HD box from 9sats at a cost of 1667 baht including postage, when I receive this and actually try it out then I will post my findings on here for anyone's interest. I am led to believe it connects to two types of satellite, including the truevision satellite, and it receives 200 channels, and it is a once only payment.

A couple of times when I have been back to the UK I have stayed at one of the hotels in the vicinity of the airport. They have shuttle buses that run to the airport every hour and generally they let you park at the hotel for the week if you stay there.

For anyone that is interested have a look at the following link.
It is a site that will send you the box by post and at a discount and I have used the site many times and they are reliable.
Even if you dont want to buy one, they show a complete list of all the programmes available on the sunbox but also on the same page they have a complete schedule of all the world cup games that you can download for your own reference.

By the way, I am still going to purchase a Sunbox, just hope I won't be wasting my money....lol

Sisaket immigration for 90 day report
in Isaan
Posted
At Dan Kwian all they want is the passport, they play with the computer, print out the new 90 day slip and hand the passport back. No copies of anything and no money changes hands.
