Meanwhile they have made it incredibly difficult for people to reunite with their families who have been seperated for months. Disgusting.

Thanks for the advice. I am hoping that the blue book and an internet bill in my name will be good enough. Cheers
Copies of the house book signed by your wife will be accepted. No need for her to go with you.I have to get a residency cert to renew my 5 year driving licence. I will be going alone, can I take the wifes blue house book without her being present?

With mine I pay minor outpatient stuff myself and once I've got about 6 months of receipts I claim it back. Some good info in here. Thanks
This's probably a silly question but do the top end rates cover you for the likes of a major operation and things like Cancer treatment?
Also do you have to pay out the initial cash and claim it back or do the insurance companies cover it themselves from the get-go?
With operations etc we just give the hospital the card and they deal directly with the insurance company.

I use ACS, a bit expensive but very good when we needed them.

Not true. Currently being offered 60% with the option to pay over 10,15 or 20 years. Age is a factor of course. The major banks in Thailand has a limit of 50% mortgage for Thai/foreigner couples. The mortgage has to be payed within 7 years.

Anyone been to a play place called wiggle town then?

A thai acquaintance told my wife she has been living in germany for a year and has just come back to renew her visa for another year. Is this possible with german visas? I thought (and happy to be corrected) you could only get a 90 day visa.

We have a 16 month old and currently live in an estate with few children so we are looking for a nursery or similar that baby and Mum could go to together for a few hours a couple of times a week to get baby used to interacting with other children. Can anyone recommend or advise please? Thanks.

Update, all fine, never had any ear pain and apart from being a bit excitable on the A380 she was extremely good, wether we were just lucky remains to be seen. Thanks again for all the tips.

Thanks for the advice. We already have bassinet seats and just came through passport control with just her thai passport.
Regarding that the check in girl said we should hide the uk passport or she will lose her thai one. Is this true? When we come back from uk will thai immigration not wonder why she has no stamp or visa in her Thai passport?

If you don't take any other advice please take this.
Always get checked out by a doc for ANY concerns.
NEVER "man up" and ignore pain.
I manned up about 3 years ago and almost died as a result.
Good luck and good health.

I understand it is ok to take water for her milk as long as it is in the milk bottles, I guess Suvharnabhumi security are cool with this? Any recent first hand experience?

Thanks for that advice. What's the birth certificate copy for? I hafe electronic copies, do I need a hard copy for something? When travelling take a copy of the birth certificate with you.
As a family you can use the Thai national lines and in the UK the lines for UK-nationals, you don't have to go through seperate channels.

I think we've got everything covered with our upcoming flight to the UK, but is there any crazy burocratic nonsense we might have forgotten to trip us up? Got the Thai passport for exit, got the uk one for entry.
Any tips greatly appreciated.
Cheers. TR

What's a Facebook???
Well, in my humble opinion Facebook is absolutely useless and redundant service as well as other so called "social networks"...
This is just a waste of your time
Please correct me if I am wrong
Well I enjoy seeing pictures and videos of my daughter when I am working away, or staying in touch with my friends overseas. The joy i get from seeing a short video clip of my kid playing as I am about to start work is priceless.
Consider yourself corrected, not a waste of my time at all.

So just an online translation service, i.e. fully electronic online. Not something that could be used for visa applications etc?
The service can be used to translate any document. Complete the contact form with all the relevant information and a translator will be in touch to inform you how you can proceed with your translation.
How can it be stamped and signed as an official translation if its online? Useful for some things I am sure, but skeptical if its the one stop shop as advertised.
Have you ever heard of a post office. I worked with a company for the last document I needed translated, stamped, and signed. Prior to the simple process of stamping and signing, they sent me an email with the translation to proofread. My wife proofread it to confirm it was correct. I gave them my okay. They finished the job and gave me the option of either picking it up or having it sent to me by post. Being close to my home, I opted to pick it up.
Have you heard of a post office? They offer a service where documents or parcels can be sent to your home, office, or other address. It's pretty amazing!
Who rattled your cage?

Cheers for that Ebeneezer the geezer.

It is fair. Thailand has made it almost impossible for people stranded abroad to return so why should they not have a taste of their own medicine
