I know a few farang that married what is now X BGs and they seem to be OK wives, not every girl that worked in a bar is there because she is a cock crazy sneaky ,thieving bitch.

Some are there in all asian countrys because of economic necessitys,and when they meet a good guy, then a fine marriage can result,same as in any country. And also, SEX is not the big deal that most farang make it out to be. as far as I have found,A virgin is not much of an admired thing at all. But it seems to be considered a must by farang that are raised that sex is nasty/dirty and any woman that is not a virgin is a worthless piece of <deleted>.,I have never found that to be in my 50 years of moving around asia,except in the muslim countrys and then only because the men are all suffering from a rightfully aquired inferiority complex.

Thailand schools are not that good,everyone sends their kids out specially for higher edu. that can afford it.

Thailand has the lowest edu. standards in Asia, and my wife is a teacher and I do not know how they can run their schools the way they do.

One thing is the OLD BOY network is alive and well in the upper echelons of edu. in Thailand.

I would not let one of my own kids go to school here,even to a private school, I checked out a couple of them in Chiang Mai when I came here,and my kid is going to school in the USA.

My fiancee is often wearing skirt. She is from a conservative and well educated middle class family in Bangkok. I think it is quite normal for a younger educated cute woman.

My wife is from a moderately well off family and is a univ. graduate with a degree in education,20 years of teaching and wears a skirt or suit dress to school, but as soon as she comes home,into the jeans.

And how is a Thaivisa member going to give advise US visa when none of us have any power to issue a visa and the decisions made by the US embassy persons are their own actions and not according to members of this forum. The only thing we can do is tell what has happened to others.

It is a bit 'off topic' but HOW?, HOW?, HOW? in Thailand can I signal to the driver of another car, or truck, that I have seen what he would like to do and to go ahead and do it because I will keep out of his way.

We do it in UK with a quick flash of the headlights, but that is used for the exact opposite in Thailand (or to warn the traffic on the other carriageway that they are approaching a police trap).

I have often wondered the same thing,,But then came to the conclusion that if he thinks it,he gonna do it anyway regardles of you,so no need to flash an OK.

And I have seen some pickups towing a small trailor,,just not many and the idea hasn't caught on, be a lot safer to have a hitch even on a motorcycle that just setting your ass on the handle of one and going down the road.

But I think the stupidest law in the country is to require a drivers license, then let folks do as they please and not enforce the written law, most people will think that with a license that the other person knows the law and will somewhat comply,which is not the case at all.

I actually noticed quite a few times that strong alcohol beverages like whiskey, vodka,... were making the people meaner after drinking more often than "soft" beverages like beer.

Since it is the alcohol responsible for the mood enhancing, I do not really understand while it should happen.

The main reason is the amount of alcohol in a set amount of time, 1 mixed drink or straight whiskey has about the same amount of alkie as 2 beers,so it is the amount in the blood stream that does it,people that say they get drunker on whiskey than beer is because they don't drink the same amount of alcohol.

So 1 pint of hard liquor to 32 bottles of beer,,I don't know to many folks that can hold that much beer.

I watch a lot of UBC and it looks like it's cut with a meat cleaver.

I watch mainly Discovery and BBC WORLD and occasionally Star Movies and I'll often watch a programme before I go to bed and switch on the telly the following morning only to see the same one, but generally I can't complain.

Japanese encephalitis for only a month stay seems a bit excessive.

One time I went to an embassy with the same request,,they gave me a printed listing of lawyers and they said that if a lawyer on the list did not do as stated,then I should let them know and they would remove his name from the listing. They are not allowed to give a reference to any certain lawyer.

I am one that should never have drank, I have always been kinda hair triggered,and with booze under the belt,it was a problem that just got worse.

Seems like I would find ways to get in jail much easier than anyone else, Just about everywhere I went that drinking was legal I would get in trouble.
