  3. Exactly. They don't care. They just write off fraud as the cost of doing business. They are not interested in any details one would have to assist in investigating these cases.
  4. I use Bangkok Bank, 'the 800K bank deposit method', and have never made any small deposit on the day of extension. I see the recommendation in several posts to make a small deposit on the extension day and update the book, but I never have. Just do an update only of the book on that day, which shows a balance matching the amount of the 'bank letter', which I get the day before in town. That's worked for me, would it for you is the question. This is for at CW.

  6. My experience on the topic. This is for CW. Got the new passport in July (issue date in June.) Remained in-country. Late September time to do 90-dayer. Honesty's the best policy, submitted online with the new passport number, expecting a rejection response to come back. Yep. Although the notation in email said 'first report after leaving the country requires in-person report', words to that effect. Appointment to do the 90-day report, with plans to do the stamps transfer while I'm out there, so I am prepared for that. Pull up to the 90-day desk, with the form, copies and both passports. Clerk tells me to get the stamps transferred to the new passport first. Wish that had been spelled out, as I would have done that first, but whatever. Went to the ticket-issue counter, explained the situation and was given what looked like a special-type number for the L (extensions) counters. All in all, took maybe 30 minutes to get the passports back to me with stamps (except for re-entry permit) transferred to the new passport. Back to the 90-day desk, to get that squared. Into the checking of everything, the TM30 was asked for. I had gotten the rental agent to file one in the 'new' system the day before, using the new passport number. Seems like either the fact that the new number was used, prior to 'official' transfer, or the 'days of stay', which was 0 on the document I had, caused the clerk to tell me that the TM30 was invalid. Seemed like she was not going to be able to process the 90-dayer. Oh boy..... But, after a minute or two of talking she did go ahead and process the 90-day report, 'just this time', telling me to file an updated TM30, make sure there's an ample amount of days stay on it. Maybe my rental agent didn't quite get that part of completing the registration, I don't know because I'm not able to see what the registration site looks like, it's not under my purview. Then went to the re-entry desks and got that stamp transferred, took about 20-30 minutes. Short of the long, for CW: Transfer the main PP stamps before doing a 90-day report. An updated TM30 was asked for, in my case. Yours may vary.

  14. Indeed, it is also working for me, using mobile, and a bit down the page are the steps. The first one is the instruction to download the pdf of the checklist, the link for the download is working.
  15. Man, I'm just trying to assist anyone trying to get through the mill, just like I have to do. Nope, no benefits my way. Just sharing the info I've learned along the way. You haven't disclosed any info on what I suggested earlier may be your real issue. Did you travel abroad recently, yay or nay? And/or perhaps that reminder email is sitting in your spam folder? Did you check that? If it's no and no, then you didn't get sent the email. So the lesson is, take charge of your own immigration matters deadlines, rely on yourself. And no sir, I'm not an apologist for the immigration department.
  16. Recently, last few, no. But in before that, no problem submitting on a Saturday or Sunday. Auto-confirm notice of successful submission received. But it seems to be the case that no processing of submissions takes place at CW on weekends or during holiday breaks.
  17. More info needed. Did you leave the country and return, in say the last three, four months? If so, you have to calculate your reset 90-days calendar yourself, as you will not be sent any email reminding you of a coming due date. Now, if you haven't had any trip, which affects the calendar for the 90 days, then it's one of two things. You were sent a reminder email, and it ended up in the junk/spam folder. Or, they failed to send the email at all. As suggested above, best to track your 90-dayer obligation yourself, and not rely on email notifications about it.

  21. I would guess it's because the return envelope you've enclosed has your address on it? It would seem that mail-in reports may get cut some slack because of that. By the way, just wondering here... Anyone have an experience doing, or attempting to do, a mail-in 90-day report after they have gotten a new passport? Yes, I am aware the word's gone out that the first 90-day report after getting a new passport is supposed to be done in person. (Online attempts in that circumstance get rebuffed, from reports here.)
  22. Was scrolling on facebook yesterday and was treated to a sponsored post from an agency/outfit in Bangkok. Big and bold announcement dedicated to announcing their '90-day reporting service' for foreigners. Not that I'm interested, I do my 90-dayers myself. but I did see the price for the service. 1000 baht is lowest, and seems there are a few price tiers. Not sure about linking policy, mods can remove it if not kosher, I'm just adding it for info purposes. https://www.ptservicesagency.com/en/thailand-90-days-report
  23. Not my area of expertise, but I don't see any reason why a land border bounce would not be doable. You'd use both passports for the exit, they might make some notation in the new passport referencing the 30-day extension, but you would get stamped out, get an exit stamp, in the new passport, I assume. They would also likely do a pairing in their computer system, tying your entry/exit history of the expired passport to the new passport number. Then on the 'come back in' you'd be using the new passport. If that pairing of the history of your expired passport to the new one is not doable at a land border, that might be the reason you were advised to depart by air. It's done at the airport, have had that experience before. Hang on, someone who's had the same situation may come here and offer their experience.
  24. Just about the same. Actually I had an all-time personal best 18-hour turnaround for approval from CW. Nice, the system's working very good. But then about a week later, another email came in, reminding me of the coming due date, that I need to do the report. Since I already had the approval and 'next due date' receipt for early October, I just ignored it. (Oh, I have not left and returned anytime in previous 90 days.) And now the system's down a couple days for 'maintenance', OK. We'll see what comes back. Will that 18-hour turnaround be going bye-bye?
  25. Yes, you got it. Some time back, the 90-day system was failing for me and the appointment system was down. It took about four hours from when I arrived till when I was done. Use online appointments for all you can.
