Try again!
Have contacted Nok Air re flight to Krabi from DM in July.
You can have your money back or a transfer to an Air Asia flight from Swampy rather than DM.
If you don't contact them "maybe" they will contact you, do you think ??

I have a booking to Krabi with Nok Air on July 17 but understand that this service has been suspended and flights are to be provided by Air Asia/ Thai Air instead.
Nok Air website shows no flights scheduled to Krabi for July onwards but I have been unable to contact them to establish just what thier plans are (thats assuming that they have a plan!!).
Has anyone any "real" info on what will happen as regards flights already booked?

I am looking for consumption figures for the new ALTIS 1.8G and CIVIC 2.0 EL AT.
Manufacturers literature does not provide consumption details, any ideas as where I could find this sort of info, also service costs would be useful.
Thanks

Given the Thai's love of keeping junk around the house and garden the g/f and I have deceided to have a good tidy up. However there does not seem to be any communial tip facility (other than the side of the road) and I have not seen any rubbish skip lorries, probaby because there is no demand.
Does anyone know of a skip hire facility around Lopburi/ Singburi, or is this a farang business oppurtunity in the waiting?

Hi,
I understand that Immigration had stopped issuing COR's but have now started again?
Has anybody managed to get one from Autthaya, when my gf phoned them they said "we are a mobile office , get one from the Police Station ".
So what's a "mobile office" with a landline number when it's out?

RESPONSE TO ME (OP) FROM ROYAL THAI CONSULATE (HULL) re applying for "O-A" Visa in Thailand.
I have looked through various comments on the link you provided and my comment is that someone has become confused between the "O" visa
and the "O-A" visa. Every foreigner who wishes to enter Thailand legally for a purpose other than tourism needs to obtain a non-immigrant visa of
some sort. The requirement of a category "O" non-immigrant visa is necessary in a number of situations including people who are entering Thailand
because they wish to apply for retirement status. Information on the website of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the Non-Immigrant
Visa "O-A" Long Stay states that whilst applicants may apply at the Royal Thai Embassy or Royal Thai Consulate-General in their home country
(there are no Consulate-Generals in the UK) they can also apply at the Thai Immigration Bureau in Bangkok. Additionally we know it is possible to
apply at Thai Immigration Bureaux in main Thai cities/towns. However, if applying in Thailand, it is not possible to be able to enter Thailand without
first being in possession of a non-immigrant category "O" visa. I can assure you that many UK passport holders have entered Thailand with the
"O" visa and have subsequently successfully applied for the "O-A" (long term) visa.
I hope this helps.

Following posts here about airlines refusing to carry passengers with a proper Visa but without an onward flight from Thailand I contacted Thai Airways who replied as below, flight is from London UK to Bangkok.
Dear Sir,
Please be advised that Thai will accept you for travel on a one way ticket provided you can proove that you have enough funds for your stay and you have a British passport.
Regards,
Thai

Subject: One Way Ticket to Bangkok
Importance: HighHi, I have purchased a one way ticket to Bangkok with Thai and have since read about the possibility of not being allowed to travel without an onward ticket. As I have a Thai Non-Immigrant "O" Visa wilI I be allowed to travel without having an onward ticket? Many thanks David howden

Eyebee,
If the "O-A" visa is only issued outside Thailand why would I need to get a financial statement from the UK Embassy in Bangkok as at 2.4 of the Hull blurb?
Many thanks for the clarification, probably best to just go with the flow rather than trying to understand it all beforehand.

Does this mean that the Thai Consulate in Hull is issuing incorrect information
at points 2.4, 2.5 and 2.6 below, copied from thier web site .

I have a Non Immigrant "O" Visa with multiple entry granted by Hull UK. When I convert this to an "O-A" retirement Visa (by production of Police Report, Financial statment etc. to Thai Immigration in CM or BKK) does the effective expiry date remain as per the original "O" or does it run for 12 months from the point of conversion?
Thanks
