  1. I have a booking to Krabi with Nok Air on July 17 but understand that this service has been suspended and flights are to be provided by Air Asia/ Thai Air instead.

Nok Air website shows no flights scheduled to Krabi for July onwards but I have been unable to contact them to establish just what thier plans are (thats assuming that they have a plan!!).

Has anyone any "real" info on what will happen as regards flights already booked?

  3. Given the Thai's love of keeping junk around the house and garden the g/f and I have deceided to have a good tidy up. However there does not seem to be any communial tip facility (other than the side of the road) and I have not seen any rubbish skip lorries, probaby because there is no demand.

Does anyone know of a skip hire facility around Lopburi/ Singburi, or is this a farang business oppurtunity in the waiting?

  4. Hi,

I understand that Immigration had stopped issuing COR's but have now started again?

Has anybody managed to get one from Autthaya, when my gf phoned them they said "we are a mobile office :D , get one from the Police Station :o ".

So what's a "mobile office" with a landline number when it's out?

  5. RESPONSE TO ME (OP) FROM ROYAL THAI CONSULATE (HULL) re applying for "O-A" Visa in Thailand.

I have looked through various comments on the link you provided and my comment is that someone has become confused between the "O" visa

and the "O-A" visa. Every foreigner who wishes to enter Thailand legally for a purpose other than tourism needs to obtain a non-immigrant visa of

some sort. The requirement of a category "O" non-immigrant visa is necessary in a number of situations including people who are entering Thailand

because they wish to apply for retirement status. Information on the website of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the Non-Immigrant

Visa "O-A" Long Stay states that whilst applicants may apply at the Royal Thai Embassy or Royal Thai Consulate-General in their home country

(there are no Consulate-Generals in the UK) they can also apply at the Thai Immigration Bureau in Bangkok. Additionally we know it is possible to

apply at Thai Immigration Bureaux in main Thai cities/towns. However, if applying in Thailand, it is not possible to be able to enter Thailand without

first being in possession of a non-immigrant category "O" visa. I can assure you that many UK passport holders have entered Thailand with the

"O" visa and have subsequently successfully applied for the "O-A" (long term) visa.

    I hope this helps.

Hi, I have purchased a one way ticket to Bangkok with Thai and have since read about the possibility of not being allowed to travel without an onward ticket. As I have a Thai Non-Immigrant "O" Visa wilI I be allowed to travel without having an onward ticket? Many thanks David howden
