  1. This morning, I departed Bangkhae/Bangbon for Major Hollywood Suksawat soi 60 to action 90 day address and 90 day extension, arriving there at 09.45 hrs. To my surprise immigration was already open. They are now open from 09.30 hrs with lunch 12.30 - 13.30 hrs

The whole process took approx 1 hr 40 m.

    Cheers and enjoy.

  2. The new extension will start from the date your current extension of stay ends like all the others have.Your visa expired long ago and it means nothing now.

Enrolling for additional studies does not change the date for when your next extension is due.

Therefore in other words, my current extension of stay ends 01 June and when I apply again this week, I will get a further 90 days extension. Is that correct Ubonjoe? Very similar to a non immigrant O visa when you can activate visa runs up to 15 months.

I too was confused when the language school said the visa expires in July this year.

And of course, a single entry ED visa can last indefinitely or should I say, depending on that school, say up to 3/5 years or until such time you terminate the course.

Continuation of 90 day extensions until you decide to finish Thai studies. As in the case of a non-immigrant O visa, it can be extended via visa runs up to 15 months and then of course you would need to visit immigration for further extensions.

  4. In June of last year, I obtained a single entry non-immigrant ED visa and in Sept I commenced obtaining 90 day extensions. I actually started the language course on 24 August 13 and due to finish on 28 June this year.

According to my school, the visa expires in July this year and I have been given the necessary paperwork for a further extension which I will be applying for this week.

According to TM7 – Application for extension, the school have written extension for a further 90 days.

My question is, will I get a further 90 days extension which will bring it up to August or will they only give me part of 90 days up to July when my visa expires?

When I complete the language course, I will again be applying for a further non-immigrant O visa (married to a Thai).

    Cheers.

  5. I went to Major Hollywood Suksawat for a yearly ED visa extension, where I arrived at 3 pm.

The lady at the ED visa section checked and stamped my documents and passport, gave me a queue number and after that I was off to counter number A2 for another check and payment of 1,900 THB.

The officer receiving the payment gave my documents to the officer on his right, who checked my documents again and signed my visa.

Total processing time < 10 minutes.

    Friendly helpful staff and officers.

(However, I did spent a total of nearly 3 hours in the taxi, from Suksawat to Bangkhae, roundtrip)

Suksawat Soi 60 for me next week to process ED visa extension and 90 day report.

Travelling a different route. Bangkhae to MRT Bang Wa - Wongwian Yai and taxi to Suksawat. I would think a far quicker journey.

  6. Would somebody be so kind as to translate into Thai 'khor ror 2' which is the official register of entry into marriage.

    Thank you.

ps I don't trust google translate.

  7. Thai language schools in Thailand, understand and read the small print before you sign up. There are several excellent schools here.

I have been studying Thai now for approx 10 months and only paid the initial cost of the course plus ED visa. I've never heard of these so called 'hidden costs'.

If you require further information, please let me know.

    Good morning and enjoy.

  8. There are several language schools within easy reach of BTS.

Cost for one year courses with ED visa range from approx B23K to B26K. Without an ED visa and study for just a few hours a week the cost works out considerably less.

Yes do your homework, visit those language sites and compare price, Prolanguage, Walen, Language Express, etc.

If your purpose is to remain long time in Thailand and little regard for the Thai language, then you are abusing the system.

    Good morning and enjoy.

  9. Not in Chiang Mai but here in Bangkok you attend the MOE after 12 months study and answer four simple questions in the Thai language.

    คุณชื่ออะไร

    คุณอายุเท่าไหร่

    คุณเป็นคนชาติอะไร

    สิ่งที่คุณอาหารที่ชอบทาน

I personally have never been tested at immigration.

Hope you find someone who can help in Chiang Mai.

  10. As far as I know, the 90 day reporting HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH VISAS. You stay in the country for 90 days, you have to report. Thank you, Thailand.

correct, and if you read the op post correctly, (I will again be applying for a further multiple non immigrant o visa) you can determine that the op is going out of the country for a VISA, therefore NO 90 report is require the pool is incorrect end of story.

    Correct MikeandDow.

Therefore in conclusion, my original question has been confirmed.

    Cheers
