  1. I think the Western World incl. Ukraine of course should ban everything thats russian - more sanctions would be nice ...

Russia is the force of evil bah.gif

MOSCOW // Russia’s prime minister warned yesterday that Russia could block overflights between Europe and Asia in retaliation for Western sanctions.

Dmitry Medvedev said the Russian government was considering a series of measures in response to Western sanctions that shut down the country’s first low-cost airline.

“First is a ban on using the airspace of our country for transit flights by European and US airlines in the ... Asia-Pacific region,” said Mr Medvedev.

  2. This is expected to cost Putin and Russia 500 million rubbles rubles a month to add to their minus-5% GDP so far this year. Putin called Prez Obama a couple of months ago and now the two will meet Monday during the UNGA sessions in New York City.

It's been suggested Prez Obama offer Xi Jinping refugee status as an economically displaced person while Xi is in Washington, so maybe Barack can make the same offer to Vlad. laugh.png

This airlines thing is to twist Vlad's arm more and higher up his back because it clobbers Russia and the ruble at a time of severe vulnerability.

"The airlines will be blocked from entering and flying through Ukraine to European countries. In turn, flying via other routes will be more costly for Russian airlines. “That will certainly lead to significant loses to the Russian airlines, essentially to the whole Russian airlines industry,” Marchenko says.

"The main pain will be felt by Russian airlines even if Ukraine faces a backlash from Russia, since routes to European countries will be more costly. “That would probably be the most lost that would cost the Russian airlines industry,” Marchenko says.

"Russia airlines transferred 303,000 customers to Ukraine and received 287,000 people during the January-June period of this year, Russia’s Tasun said on Sept. 25, Interfax news reports."

Russia signalled on Monday it might ban Western airlines from flying over its territory as part of an "asymmetrical" response to new European Union sanctions over the Ukraine crisis.

Blaming the West for damaging the Russian economy by triggering "stupid" sanctions, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said Moscow would press on with measures to reduce reliance on imports, starting with increasing output of domestic aircraft.

Medvedev suggested Russia should have hit back harder over the action by the United States and European Union to punish Moscow for its role in Ukraine, saying it had been too patient in the worst confrontation with the West since the Cold War.

"If there are sanctions related to the energy sector, or further restrictions on Russia's financial sector, we will have to respond asymmetrically," he told Russian daily Vedomosti, adding the airlines of "friendly countries" were allowed to fly over Russia.

"If Western carriers have to bypass our airspace, this could drive many struggling airlines into bankruptcy. This is not the way to go. We just hope our partners realise this at some point," he said in the interview published on Monday.

Responding to Ukraine's ban announcement, Russian officials said they would be forced to take adequate measures.

Dmirty Peskov, a spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin, said - that if implemented - such a ban would be "another act of madness".

In response, Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov said later that day that Moscow would be forced to retaliate if the restrictions went into effect.

  3. great idea, Russia assisted in the murder of people on the airline plane that was shot down. Ukraine is full of Russians. Let them feel the pain. anything to pressure this bully country.

Actually there is a proof that MH17 may have been shot down by the Ukraine Army by mistake.

  4. Ukraine is in pretty bad shape. Primarily from Russia's invasions. Hard to blame them for this.

If Russia gets out of Ukraine territory, I'm sure this ban would be lifted. Along with other sanctions placed on Russia by many countries around the world due to their invasion.

Actually Russia does not care very much about the Ukrainian sanctions, and as far as this particular ban is concerned, the experts at the AIRLINERS.NET forum say:

"This is set to start at the end of October, but somehow me thinks there's a large chance this will not get implemented. And if it does, rest assured this will hurt Ukraine way more than it will hurt Russia."

  5. Well, I am not at all surprised.

As I said the day before yesterday, most of the ATM fraud in Thailand is committed by Ukrainians and Romanians, followed by Chinese and Malaysians.

Why Romanians? Because there are so many Gypsies living over there in Romania.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

The guy on the right definitely looks like Gypsy.

The man on the right looks far better dressed (and clean-shaven) than a lot of farangs I see on my weekly trips into Pattaya!

Yes, but it doesn't prevent him from being a criminal... ph34r.png

  7. Yes, I am not surprised.

Most of the ATM fraud in Thailand is committed by the Ukrainians and Romanians (Romanian and Moldavian Gypsies).

Also Chinese and Malaysians are very active in this field.

Akkaradej said police made the arrest after the CSD was informed by the SCB that some foreigners have been using fake ATM cards with account data of bank customers in the United States and Europe to withdraw cash from SCB ATM machines.

That's how the Ukrainians are expressing their gratitude towards America and Europe for all their support being provided to the Ukraine! coffee1.gif

Maybe they come from the other Ukraine.

    We never know.

However they have the same mentality, believe me...

  9. America is not happy with the current Syrian president Bashar al-Assad because he is refusing to obey orders from Washington.

America just wants to establish another government in Syria that would be loyal to America.

US have a lot of interests in this region including oil, etc.

  10. why would he want to be smuggled from Turkey ? He is a Turkish national and so would have a valid passport, something wrong here

I believe he is not a Turkish national.

Even the Turkish embassy in Thailand has the same opinion.

He may be one of the refugees from Syria or Iraq.

In Turkey they can buy a Turkish passport for US$ 600.-

The article reports him as being a Turkish national, if that is true he had no need to be smuggled anywhere

As far as I know the Turkish Embassy in Thailand denied this fact.

Probably his Turkish passport is a fake (in Turkey the refugees can buy a Turkish passport for just US$ 600.-)

It has been reported in the media.

  11. Smuggled from turkey to a room where the bomb was made, what a load of rubbish give him the death penalty.

I strongly disagree. There is no evidence he has anything to do with the bombing.

The fact that there was a literature about bomb making in this apartment doesn't prove that this particular guy has anything to do with this literature.

The apartment was occupied by many other people being trafficked to Thailand and Malaysia.

  12. Ooooops

Looking at his face I have always had a feeling that probably this guy is not responsible for the recent Bangkok bombing.

It looks as if he is innocent.

There is an international ring of human traffickers in Thailand, now some refugees from Iraq and Syria want to relocate to other countries including Thailand but Thailand will not accept them officially.

Probably he is one of such refugees... coffee1.gif

  13. Kaspersky Antivirus is definitely not recommended, I tried all of them.

The best one is Dr.Web antivirus.

Not alll men like blonde girls. Some like girls with black hair, some prefer brunette. I on the other hand have tried almost all and I believe Kaspersky does a great job.

But this topic has been discussed for a million times already. BTW, I never heard of Dr. Web before.

You might want to have a look here and then rethink your statement. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2372364,00.asp
