Hi everyone,
a few years ago drones were expensive, several ten thousands for one. Today you can buy a drone with a 8K camera for around 1'000 Baht. So, I bought one from Aliexpress, this one.
I wanted to video tape when the harvester cut my wife's rice. But I wasn't able to connect the wifi.
I live in northern Surin province, somewhere between Tha Tum and Rattanaburi, Is there somewhere not too far somebody with a drone (I would also go to Buriram if necessary) who could show me how to connect the wifi correctly. I add the instruction sheet.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

I'm a tennis afficionado. Are there any fellow members who watch The Tennis Channel and Tennis Channel Plus?

Moderators, please be so kind and close this thread. Thank you.

For the last 15 months I have been a subscriber of Motion TV, a provider of streaming IPTV. I became a subscriber on the recommendation of one of our fellow members here.
I am a tennis afficionado. So, last year I was on the lookout for a service which included the famous Tennis Channel. MT offered just that for $15 a month. On 28/10/22 they charged me $150 for a 1-year subscription. They had my credit card details, so they felt free to push a 1-year subscription on me.
As I knew that Motion Tv would push for a renewal of this subscription this month, I looked closer at my subscription and noticed that I was given a 1-year 6 connections subscription. I don't need 6 connections, as we have only 2 TVs in our home. I found out that they do offer a 1-year 2 connections subscription for $120. I opened a support ticket on OCT 10 with the request to change my subscription to 2 connections. As by OCT 18 the support ticket had not been answered, I opened a 2nd ticket with the same request. Also that one was never answered or followed up.
So, yesterday was the due day to pay. This situation turned in my head last night and at around 02:00 I called my credit card company to cancel the card Motion TV has on their file. Luckily they still had not attempted to charge me, but it is obvious that they would have charged me later the same day.
I wrote this message to inform my fellow members not to use this service because of no customer support at all.

There is a few Baht difference in cost. I use all purpose when I can't get bread flour - I live out in the sticks. It works OK. Bread flour is supposed to help the dough rise, cake flour is too sticky in a dough I find.
The biggest problem is getting yeast ( I live out in the sticks). A couple of stores sell bread flour, neither sells yeast - one sort of goes with the other really!
You can order yeast from Lazada, not more expensive than from your local supermarket. I use this one, Mauripan from Australia 95 Baht for 500 g, you won't be ruined and have good dry yeast.

This is the third time I have purchased a “leather” desk chair, and the ones I am getting in CM typically fall apart after a year or two of use.
The first one, I sent to the bin, or had a junk-man/scrap-dealer take away.
Now, I am wondering if there is any very simple way to cover the “leather” of the chair, with something, so that I can continue using it; the metal mechanism, the gas lift, and the wheels seem in good shape. And the wheels needed replacing anyway with softer wheels to protect the wood floor.
Is there some easy way to cover this chair with an alternative to leather, such as a slipcover, or using some other quick solution?
This is not my chair, but an image of a similar almost identical chair.
Also, the chairs I buy are cheap, about Bt.8000 or Bt.9000. This means that one should not expect to get leather for this price, and instead, they give you:
a. BONDED Leather (This kind of material has just GOT to be the WORST!)b. PU Leather
c. Bicast Leather and another type made from scraps of leather bonded together using some type of adhesive
Please Note: It's hard to guess why leather is expensive when there are so many people eating beef, these days. One would think there should be plenty of hides available...
Not so many people eating beef today in Thailand. Can't find any beef in both of the Lotus's I shop every two days.

For me this situation leaves open 2 questions:
1 What is the role of Prawit Wongsuwon now ? Does he still have any say in in this upcoming government?
2 When will the parties choose their ministers? Is there a time set already or is there a set timeline?

Who is the interim PM? And which entity appointed him? Probably the senate.

If you use a True sim dial 00600, I think it's 1 or 2 Baht per minute.

What baffled me the most is that during the July 14 vote, all Democrat party members did not support the Pita democratic alliance.

What will follow is that Prawit will do everything in his power to eliminate Pita and his party. Not showcasing §112 when Pita was campaigning would have most possibly secured him the premiership. Think about it.
-
Another scenario is likely to emerge. On the July 13 vote Pita was the only contender for the post of prime minister. Since Pita has no possible chances to succeed on July 19 or 20, that could change. Another possible prime minister candidate is likely to emerge: Prawit Wongsuwan. With all the allies he has, he could amass as many as 188 votes, Of course, all the senators would back him, so he would end up with possibly 250 additional votes, if all the senators would vote this time. Anyway, far over the required 376 votes necessary to win.
This scenario is very likely and would satisfy many people who don't support Pita. The whole "coalition" of Move Forward, Pheu Thai & Co. would end up in the opposition.
In my humble meaning, this is what is going to happen very soon. I might be wrong, only time will tell.

I'm not saying he has been wrong, but that one thing has been a no-win and red cape to a red bull (no pun intended) with the large conservative elements of the country--even if his proposal is very mild in its extent.
It is sure that Pita made two unforgiveable mistakes before entering the elections. No. 1 was not to get rid of his shares in iTV. No. 2 was to announce as an election promise to amend §112. He could have worked on that once he would have been installed in office and the time was right. The millions of people who voted for him did not vote because of §112. Just my humble opinion.

So far Pita got 10 votes from the senators. But still many have to vote.

Had dengue fever in 1986 in Singapore. Scary. High fever, you can take fever depressents, don't help. Ended up a couple of days at Singapore General Hospital.
Now a 16-year old boy in our village in northern Surin province just went to the hospital with Dengue.

Would that imply that the suspicions raised here could be true ?
Foreigners, who do not have the 'ID Chip' will no longer be able to verify their account ?
Looks like! I sent them a message 2 days ago. They did not answer yet!

Same here. They have asked me for so many things and reject every time. Always something more. Yes, I also get the impression, they want to get rid of the foreigners. Never finished.
I was just rejected again. And again, they ask me the same documents as I sent them 4 days ago. It's a cat and mouse game. I just sent them a message and asked them to explain me exactly what is wrong with what I sent them.

Yes, good cheese is expensive in Thailand. I'm from Switzerland, so obviously I grew up around good cheese. The last cheese I bought was from a specialiced company in BKK which is managed by a Swiss. I don't want to advertise something, but just tell the reader that I bought Swiss Raclette cheese, made in France about two months ago. It was 900 Baht/kilo then, but I don't see it currently available. I bought the cheese here.

Hi Bill, I got to know you from this thread and I'm fololowing it daily. I'm near your age, I'm past 78 and I'm diabetic since around 20 years.
It has been 2 days since you posted the last time. We all want to know how you are. From my part, I wish you all the best, you can easily live up to 90, I think we all can if we're careful enough with our health.

Anyone with a small drone in Surin province or vicinity?
in Sports, Hobbies & Activities

This drone was actually meant to hover above our home and get a view from above. The idea to see the harvester move over my wife's land came later.
For me this is not worth to spend 7000 Baht.
