Are you looking for something to keep you warm at night in Pattaya?

Hi guys. I had a dual pacemaker put in about 4 years ago and I've never felt anything so I don't know if it is even working or not? Are you supposed to feel anything when it fires off or discharges? TIA

Not sure which is the best, but I do know that whenever I get those Ketchup packets from McDonald's, they go straight in the garbage!

I've not had a problem with FMP paying for my meds. I just by them at any local pharmacy and get a receipt from them with their address, phone #, and price and quantity of meds. I get them for 3 months at a time. Then I just send the receipts off to Denver and they pay for the meds. It does take them a long time to pay though and then it comes in a check! They still have no way to pay you other than a check and with the time it takes to cash a check and the delay in Denver paying you, it usually comes out to around 4 months to get paid.
Hang in there.

Yo Coolhand. I take it you are not military retired? If not, and you have VA rated disabilities, you can use the VA's Foreign Medical Program in Denver. They will pay for all medical expenses related to your VA disability 100% with no copays. From your medications, it sounds like you may be rated for PTSD? If so, Denver will pay for these meds 100%.
Hang in there.

Good question. I, too am looking for one to fix my nephew's drooping eye. Hope we get some answers.

Finding just half a rai is getting hard to find. Five years ago, I put about a half rai of land up for sale and it sold within 2 weeks! After the floods occurred in Bangkok a few years ago, most of the small plots were bought up by the Bangkokians. You'll probably have to check out one of the new housing developments being built, of which there are several. Signs are posted all along Huai Yai Road.
Hi BB1950. I've got a 1.2 rai plot in Huay Yi I am thinking of selling. Can you tell me how you advertised your land for sale when it sold so quickly? And approx how much to ask for it. It has about 50 meters of paved road on one side, is fenced, has electricity/phone to the property, and a small pond on it?

Hi Mr. Edmonds. I to am a embassy warden. In fact the original embassy warden. I am also a life member of VFW in Pattaya. Qualified due to my service with Marine Recon in Vietnam and also my Bronze Star/With V and purple heart. Years back I tried to start a branch of the Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH) here in Thailand, so can definitely appreciate all the work you have to go through. We couldn't jump through enough hoops for the MOPH to be able to start a branch here, so it fell through. You can add me to your list even though I will never make it up there for a meeting as I'm now bed ridden and flat on my a** in Pattaya. I will send you an email with my particulars. Best of luck and hang in there.

Well to answer this question. I have been a casting director (I also put myself into the films for dual pay ) for 14 major motion pictures shot on location in Thailand. Among them are: The Deer Hunter, Casualties of War, Air America, Heaven and Earth, Dumbo Drop, Rescue Dawn, A Bright, Shining Lie, Good Morning Viet Nam, 3 Van Damme movies I can't remember the names of, and others. The most fun I had was living with Mel Gibson for 2 months in Mae Hong Son shooting Air America. The toughest actor to get along with by far, was Van Damme with Sean Penn running a tight second. Also fun actors were Michael J. Fox, Tim Thomerson, Art LaFleur, Bill Paxton and Marshall Bell. The funniest actor bar none was Robin Williams.
I wish I could remember the names of all the other movies I was in here in Thailand, but my old, addled brain doesn't seem to be functioning very well anymore.

Hi guys. Today when I booted up, I got the message that 8.1 will shut off tomorrow unless I enter a validation number. Anyone with an idea how to fix that? I hope it's not necessary to go buy 8.1. I don't know what they loaded on this machine when I bought it from Tukcom in Pattaya. It seems to me like they must have loaded a trial version of 8.1 unbeknownst to me.
Thanks for any help.

Well, I don't know about living in a shop house in Chiang Mai, but I have been living in my shop house in downtown Pattaya for more than 30 years now. I suits me just fine. Only problem is my Thai wife is not happy with having to clean 5 floors! To which I respond " we'll have to buy a bigger one".

Mozilla Fire Fox no
Try Firefox with "User Agent Switcher" extension. Select IE8. Seems to work, up to a point anyway. Haven't completed the process.
May I ask please Mr. Wimpy, how do I find "User Agent Switcher" in FireFox? Thanks

Thanks for the responses. To Suradit 69: Same thing happens here. To CharlieH: Tried that to no avail. Any other suggestions out there?
Usually happens for about 20 minutes after a restart. Just give it awhile and it will settle down again, (usually)
If it doesnt, unplug the box, then restart and should be fine.
Certain channels have shown info not available for the past week for me too. For some reason, if I hit "OK" on any of those channels, then click the "guide" button again right away, the programs will be shown on the guide on the screen ... but then the next time I go back to the guide, the info not available appears again. Only about 6 channels, including both the History channels.
Same thing happened a month or two ago and after awhile it was back to normal.

Hi guys. On many of the channels on the TV Guide, accessed from the remote. I only get "information not available" listed. I can't figure out if it is a problem with the remote, with True Visions, or my TV. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same? Thanks.

Torch?
Yeah, that is what got installed when I tried installing Hola. I also forgot to ask you: I am using my old Eudora for my email through Loxley. Will I still be able to use it with just CAT after I dump Loxley? Or might another email program like Thunderbird be able to work with just CAT subscription. Or will I be stuck with Gmail or Hotmail?
-
OK, thanks. I think I understand all this? I will consider cancelling Loxley and just run with CAT. I downloaded and installed all that "Torch" stuff. Not sure how that works yet as a VPN? Thanks for your help

OK.
Getting conflicting definitions of "Web 3" from LoxInfo and CSLoxinfo websites as to what "Web3 Refill" refers to, but this is the most likely:
Dial Up - Auto Refill
Yearly Sevices : Web 3
The WEB3 Internet service offers a selection of access hours and the convenience of maintaining your Internet account and email address through prepaid refills. Each time you log on to the Internet, the actual minutes you spend online are deducted from your account and any unused time can be carried forward to the following month. The service is ideal for customers who do not want the commitment of a monthly fee.
40 Hrs ฿660 -- 80 + 20 Hrs ฿1300 -- 155 + 45 Hrs ฿2400 -- 365 + 125 Hrs ฿5,500
So... DialUp Internet Service.
And CAT Hinet usually refers to one of four CAT adsl services ( Standard, Premium, LitePaq, ValuePaq )
If you are paying around ฿1300 then it would probably be the STANDARD 14/1 mbps or 16/1 mbps adsl service
So... ADSL always on Internet Service
Again, what services do you require going forward?
Thanks for the info my friend. Mainly I am just trying to find out if I need both accounts or not? Like I said, my Loxley internet email, many times does not work to US government addresses or even Yahoo accounts. Just wondering if I should cancel Loxley and just use my Gmail accounts. I imagine it will be a real pain trying to inform everyone of my email address change though? Also, many websites fail to load in IE, mainly government websites. So I think that problem stems from CAT or something to do with my ISP address?
-
Hi RichCor. Thanks for responding. The only thing I can make out from the 2 bills is:
Loxley - Web 3 refill
and CAT - Hi Net. My wife says the CAT is for ADSL..
Hope this helps.
-
Just bumping to make sure I can find it later.

I noticed a few mentions of 3BB. Did you guys know the lady who owns it is Khun Chanyut Hengtrakul of Sophon Cable sister? Don't know if that means anything at all to you, just thought I would throw it in.

Forgot to add I live in Pattaya about 200 meters from the CAT building. Not sure anymore about how I actually access the internet (sorry brain not there anymore). I have a router I think. Pretty sure it is not like the old modems. Turn on the computer and I'm connected right away to the internet. I think it is probably through CAT. Hope this helps you guys to help me unscramble this mess. Thanks
