1. When i was leaving near the airport (sanbin road), the power cut were daily for an hour, only once it went from chaweng to chong moen, it was even announced on the radio, exept that time i never saw any reasons for those cuts(no storm, no broken lines).

Now i live in Maenam and today we had cut also without any reason, i guess they are cutting power to some area cause some other location(more important) need power at that time.

  2.
Thanks Jon and Monty. I appreciate the responses. There is a definite learning curve to the Dreambox. I think I am still in the novice stage but learning quickly. I appreciate the link.
i misunderstood your question, i thought you were talking about sending the signal from your laptop including the desktop, programsetc , not only for movie playing.

  3. It depends how the accident is done, if my pockets become empty or my pant is broken, anyway keep a copy on/in the bike and in the wallet is double safety.

english is nto my native language, i don't know the right word, so i'll try to explain :

in all insurances you have cases covered and not covered due to special requirements or circunstances, i'd like to know in wich cases i'm covered, in wich i'm not, my responsibility etc etc...

  4. Hi,

i asked a quote for an insurance on my yamaha mio (2005) 115cc, i received the price around 2800bath/year and the cover for accident, damages etc etc..

however i have a few questions, i'm new to insurance in thailand so sorry if thoses look strange or stupid :

    1) what is the policy detail?those usually written in a book and with a very small font?

    2) will I have a sticker to put on the bike or a card so if i have an accident, the hospital can contact the insurance in case i would be in coma?

    thanks.

  5.
this area was well away from the noise 14 years ago, there are many hotels, bungalow resorts, and a while ago a school, this does there business no favours ,all these places were in place before the lake party started ,tell these resort owners to just wipe there mouths and walk away from there multi million baht investments and see what they have to say........................
the resorts owner have tourists as customers, i bet those customers are very happy to be able to enjoy a party just by walking a little out of their house.

you can't fight against dancing, this is the main attraction, i went in spain since i'm a kid, noise is present everywhere the tourist is, there it's even worse you got noise from the hotels from 8AM to 2AM....

  6.
(The problem is now that her 30 day visa on arrival is expiring on the 30th)

monday is the 1st of september it means she is already over stayed I had the same problem many years ago and the immigration officer didnt extend my
visa in pattaya and told me go to airport and pay overstay I think you will have the same problem on monday
hopefully for them, the officer in samui doesn't refuse extension if you're on overstay, be sure to have a pack of cigarettes and offer one to the officer, he likes that.

getting english courses will be useful to make a clear post...

  8. the OP did a few mistakes,

first it's clear that buying a house in a tourist place is not a thing to do if you want quiety.

second big mistake, that place was already surrounded by the dancing (greenmango, sound, reggae, Q bar etc etc) it's in the party area of chaweng, it's was really a stupid idea to think you could live peacefully there...

third, rentals are cheap on samui if you can live outside of chaweng, your money can produce interest and you use it to live here.

the best solution is to sell the property under the market price, total cost of house+land minus x years of rental in another location and that's it, get rid of it quickly.
