You need a wireless access point - all you have is a modem/router TP 8817 so you must use cable to attach to the laptop for internet - there is no wireless signal using that. Could be coffee shop system was off when you were there but not sure why you can not find it in operating system. You have selected control panel and network and sharing center? The connection icon in Windows 7 has a hide arrow for wireless connections that toggles them on and off in your system tray if you open it that might have been clicked to hide them.

Hi I'm running windows vista.Ok here is whats going on My laptop had a wireless adapter I could view it before in control panel(icon called Wireless Assistant). Now the icon won't even open. I use to be able to toggle the wireless switch in front of my laptop orange for off blue for on but now it stays orange(off). All of this happen when I moved into my apt. and attached this TOT Lan.

TOT has nothing to do, your radio is either dead or the switch is. hardware problem simple as that, go for a USB dongle or bring the laptop in warranty if it is still covered.

I've redownloaded several times, none of the files work, I downloaded version 1 as a torrent, this is what's happening:

- I copy it to a flash drive, then try to open on my Win 7 PC, it works fine.

- I put the flash in the XP PC, it comes up as DOS for a split second. Trying to opening it the Install Programs dialog box also doesn't

- When I bring the flash drive back to the WIn 7 PC, the file no longer works. It comes up as DOS for a split second, no error program.

yes the valves are defective and so the seal got broken after a time and acid is leaking, nothing to worry for the ups as the batteries are always under the circuit.
