Well that advice is defiantely wrong

It sounds like you have a Thai version of office installed if the menus etc are in Thai...

the limitation for FAT 16 is 2.1 GByte, for FAT 32 is 4.1 GByte! If you use one of this formats, the filessize is limitedt to tha limit, either 2.1 or 4.1 GByet.

In NTFS format the filesize is limited to 32 GByte.

You know what reimar you are so quick to jump down people's throats on this forum when they are wrong so why dont you check your facts before posting then you wont keep geting egg on your face when you are indeed WRONG

I hope you know that nowadays Microsoft checks whether your system is genuine before you can install updates etc and if it finds your machine aint genuine then it will basicly shut it down so eventually you'll only be able to access the desktop and nothing else...

If thats the case you wil just get charged whatever 1-2-call charge for thai calls and the international side while be off your card

Iv just had to renew my passport due to it being full and was wondering where i go to swap over the Visa stamps..

i have a Non-b and work permit from BOI issued by the one-stop visa place on phaloyoutin road which means i dont have to leave the country for a year i just go their every 3 months..

So my question is do i just go there to change my visa over or do i go to the immigration

Any advice off somebody who has done this please..

you are wrong buddy You still pay overstay! even if your plain is leaving at 01:00 in the morning and you go thru the immigration before midnight! the immigation calculates the overstay from the time when the plain is leavig, so it doesent matter when you go thru the immigration you still pay!

And where might i ask did you hear this complete load of crap....once you go through immigration thats it you are stamped out of Thailand, you could if you wanted to sit in the depature lounge for 3 days with no problem..thats why it is called no mans land...

one year ago, police made a check in BKK and catch 12 foreigners for overstay. 3 or 4 people had only 1 day about, nevertheless the can´t go away, they must go in jail same people had more days overstay - police not make different.

yeah your right but as far as the OP goes he has a ticket home..so he will be okay for sure..

IJust for the record i dont think they are that bothered about the overstay if you get to the border or airport its just extra revenue..i have had multiple overtstay's ranging from 3 days up to 6 weeks when i was doing the VOA game, but since then with the same passport iv had tourist visa's, NON-B from the BOI and work permit..

I think its the same as everything else seems to be in Thailand no fixed postion..you can have 100 people posting on the same subject and get 100 different anwser's all of which will be right in there personal situation...and it always will be in a country where money talks more than the law..

there is no problem for the future, if you pay your fine on the airport. But if you checked from the police before you reached the airport, you have muich trouble. You can´t go to the airport, you ygo in jail and must wait for you deportation. After this you are in the blacklist for many years.

Be carefully.....

You have to love some of the posters on TV,,,this is way OTT and would have me hiding in the jungle..for one day extension ....

they do not charge for 1 day or class it as an overstay if you leave via the airport as they understand loads of flights leave after 12 so dont charge

I work with a thai guy and man is he annoying, his version of face ..i will never admit im wrong(when he is, i will never say sorry(when he should do), i will never ask for help(when he dosnt know what he is doing)..

It's just a passport to lie, cheat and decieve because knowbody should question that person regardless of what he has done...

So we all have to live with the fact that these Thai's can baltently look us in the eye and bullsh1t till there hearts content and we westerners have to take it just so we dont upset them...

There is no question of overstay - they plan a trip to Malaysia - the question is will the airline let them board the aircraft.

Lopburi come on you and i both know that she is going to be fine..she is coming here for a month she has a return ticket and they are going to Malaysia for a couple of days...what is the problem...there isnt one, plain and simple...so why make the girl panick..
