The Sony XZ Premium released in June, 2017, to me is a completely outdated and irrelevant phone.  The Xiaomi Mix 2S released April 2018 I would not call completely outdated but I would call it completely irrelevant.  It has a maximum voice output of 68 dB as measured by gsmarena, and its 14,190 price tag from the cheapest seller at Lazada is higher than the better, to me, Pocophone.

But I'm not a total troll, I'm glad you posted because nobody has brought up the Sony  Xperia XZ3 in any topic here, and that upcoming phone, I think, is very interesting.  Here is a link to a great deal on it at Amazon USA.

I double checked this by going to Amazon myself, and the offer is good with free Prime shipping and the product is expected to ship to you October 17'th.  People anywhere can get a suite address at Shipito then have Amazon mail to Shipito and Shipito mail to you in Thailand.

All components on this phone are high end, IP65/IP68 rated, 6 in OLED screen, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, Android Pie out of the box, and stereo speakers to name a few.  I am picky with phone specifications and I have nothing to complain about with this new Sony.  It's not inexpensive, but I think the price is reasonable for what you are getting.

Thanks for the response. I'll sure check out the XZ3. Can't get the Pocophone because of its limited LTE bands.

  2. As for the stalling, it's because the idle speed is too low, but that might be due to faulty sensors, so you should replace the idle speed sensor and the throttle positioning sensor. You could increase the idle speed if you don't want to invest in new sensors, but you'll end up spending more on gas.

  3. YOu mean the car blue book? If you have salary slips or some way yo show income, the car can be in your name . 200k may not be high enough without a guarantor. One my first loan on a civic i put down 50 percent with no need for a guarantor.

I have a Guarantor also.. The way he was talking it doesn't matter how much I put down I will still need to be on a House Blue Book.. Surely he can't be correct..

Was asked for it today, but the Thai person with me explained to the salesman that foreigners aren't allowed on a house registration. He said he didn't know because he'd never sold a car to a foreigner before.

  4. yes it was an extension along those lines

Why are you being so vague?

Why anyone uses an agent is beyond me. It's very simple, just give immigration what they ask for and you'll get the extension. There is no point 'fighting back' as IO's have orders and will usually follow them to the letter. That principal applies to all Thai bureaucracy.

Not many people have 400,000 or 800,000 lying around!

  5. Do you already have a 5 year TL? A colleague was supposed to attend the same seminar, but changed his mind because of the costs. He's got a five year TL, which is due for renewal at the end of the year.

Sounds like it. BTW I hope your colleague has at least 200 hours' of continuing personal development under his belt. This was recently increased from 100 & might indeed be what this letter pertains to...

    Not at the moment.

  6. You can get a work permit and work with a non-o visa. No need to change to an extension.based upon working.

If your income from working is 40k baht or more you can use it to apply for an extension of stay based upon marriage.

Hi ubonjoe, could you do me a favour and point me in the right direction to find and print the regulation, which stipulates that a work permit can be issued on a non-o extension of stay? Thanks in advance for your help.

The regulations only state a non immigrant visa is needed. It does not specify the class of the non immigrant visa.

You can look at the WP1 application and see that is what is stated as a requirement. http://wp.doe.go.th/wp/images/form/Form_tt1.pdf

Thanks. The people at my school are claiming that a non-o is not a non immigrant visa. That I should get a non-b, which I don't want to do.
