Sin sod was compensation for taking a caretaker away from the family. It happened once, but back in the day people didn't get divorced just because they didn't like their partner. Perhaps they do expect a second go around of the money tree for the same daughter now. IMO it's not culture though- just greed.

I was far more concerned about other STDs and herpes than I ever was about AIDS. It's also a guarantee that no unwelcome additions to the human race will occur. It's not possible to be certain that women remember to use contraception, and it can fail anyway.

People with sprogs should be restricted to certain flights so their brats don't disturb others that don't expect to have an annoying infant next to them. Or at least put at the very back of the plane out of sight.
