For what purpose?
Why are you ascribing human characteristics to God? God knows, I don't.

are you sure you have enough dots? or will you be getting an incomplete picture.
No human can ever have the complete picture. There is so much information out there that no individual could ever acquire it all even in a century.
We all get by on what we can acquire, however much that may be.

It is not a "TV Show" no ladyboys or midgets involved. It is a seminar. But if you have learned all that you need and rather watch the sky as you said, good for you, You are a better man than me.
Seminars are only as good as the presenter. I've been to seminars where the supposedly expert, great mind was an absolute charlatan.

I'd rather look at the sky.
To those that are open to the spiritual, the sky is all the "proof" we need that God exists. I went through most of my life not even thinking about the sky, but now it's a temple of wonder. I'm not saying the sky is God, but that God gave me the ability to see the beauty in the sky, and in all nature.
I've yet to see a herd of cows admiring a sunset.

2) subjective experiences do exist, but can not be measured through the scientific method
That's the only option that makes sense, and science can NOT measure a subjective experience.

I don't believe in a biblical or a God with a personal interest in me or humans above all else. What remains if you want to call God for lack of a better term , I don't mind,
Seems we agree on "God" then.

And it's still riddled with holes big enough to drive a universe through. Just as new evidence was discovered to support the inane theory perhaps in another 120 years new evidence will emerge to toss it into the dustbin of demolished theories history.
At best it's a standalone theory which does not at all tie together the whole.
Don't know why you scorn it so. Seems logical that all the matter that makes up the universe emerged from a singular point and expanded outwards, forming galaxies as it went. Eventually everything falls into a black hole and is reborn as another universe in another big bang, for ever and ever and ever.

It is my opinion that Hell is a place in creation that God has removed Himself from. In order for there to be a place separate from him. This is done to allow people the choice to be separate from God as an aspect of their free will. Hell is separation form God, not necessarily a place.
I don't believe that God occupies a "space". I believe that God is outside time and physical space. To define God with "space" would assign human qualities to God and that is ridiculous, IMO.
I agree that hell is something seperate from God. While I'd like hell to exist for Stalin, Hitler, Mao etc, I think such is so far below the notice of the creator that it makes no difference where we end up how bad we are. It'd be like punishing cats for killing birds.
I haven't been on here a while because TVF has been so awful to use, but although I thought the thread was dead a while back, it's flourishing still. Ivor must be happy.

Some concerning responses all around.
Most people it seems would just carry on rather than visit
the Thai medical system....
self isolation is good but if you have got it and not on some
strong measures like a ventilator and powerful medication
you could die.
I believe most deaths on covid are due to poor health care,
poor immunity or a mix of both.
no point eating onions and garlic after you've got it.
Hmmmmm. The death rate is about 3% and most people that get it will just feel unwell. Ventilators are required only for those with respiratory difficulty. If every person in China with Corona was requiring a ventilator not enough in the country to do that. What medication would a virus require? Meds don't cure viruses. Only your immune system combats a virus. So far there is no vaccine.

Not being a snob but the last place you want to be is in the government hospitals go in there with one problem and come out with two more, Im sure they do a great job with the resources they have.
Some friends of ours had to take their daughter to one in Phuket we went to visit her like bodies everywhere people sleeping under the beds obviously the parents looked like a refugee camp I said what you doing putting her in here I wouldn't mind they have money just being sticky
I stayed in a private hospital with bronchitis for a couple of days. I'd have to be really sick to go back. As a registered nurse I was shocked at how poor the care was. No one ever explained anything that was happening. It was like the bad old days of western hospitals when Drs were "god".

Assuming you mean Corona virus ( headline doesn't say ) I'd do the same as with any flue virus. How many go to hospital with normal virus? How many with flue go wandering around in public giving it to others?

Euope has thousands of km land borders and is just a few seamiles from north africa and between Turkey and the Greece islands.
The solution that I suggested a couple years ago when this was in early days was renting some desert in Africa and sending every illegal immigrant there, just like Australia sends it's boat people ( well if there were any now that's where they'd go ) to Naaru. Kept safe, healthy etc but no hope of entry to EU. That would stop most attempts.
No need to have dramas at the border- just loaded on trucks and sent to the desert. Genuine refugees safe and can apply there for asylum.

I'm somewhat confused. Apparently Turkey has invaded a sovereign country and attacked its military, but demand that Russia, an ally of Syria, do nothing. What I don't understand is why no one is calling this a war. Where is the UN wringing it hands as usual and begging the antagonists to be good and stop fighting? Far as I know, Syria is still a member of the UN.

I'd have thought after Super Tuesday would have been a better time. I also expect a few others to get the message then, or at least the people paying will. It's only 3 more days to wait.

If that is true, seems that Gaia is about to do something about humans destroying our environment with exploitation and pollution. If the doomsayers are correct, and the world we live in vanishes Gaia wins either way.
It's interesting to me that while the pro man made warming masses are running around saying that we "must do something" ( though ideas are in short supply for things affordable, acceptable and doable ) the forests in Sth America, Africa and SEA disappear before our eyes in a cloud of smoke, with barely a wimper of protest.

His too.
He's a 'Sir' He's been in the job 33 years. He knows 'everything about the Home Office and he thinks, obviously, that his knowledge is better than anyone else's.
Patel is the second woman that Putnam has worked for. It is the second time that he has clashed with a woman. I wonder why?
Maybe he thought HE should be in line for that top job and not them?
He comes across as a proper little 'girl's blouse' - doesn't like being told what to do by a woman.
I bet he did as he was told by Maggie Thatcher!
He is a prissy little pratt!
Civil servants can't become ministers unless they get elected, far as I know, so just what are you talking about?
Perhaps both women that he worked for were bullies? I worked for many female bullies so that would not surprise me.

Turkey said on Thursday it would let migrants cross its borders into Europe, despite a commitment to hold them in its territory under a 2016 deal with the European Union.
Hopefully, IMO, the beginning of the end of any hope by Turkey to join the EU. Under Erdogan, IMO, Turkey is becoming no friend of the west.
I believe that the EU is paying Turkey to keep the refugees there, so hopefully that will cease immediately.
Seems that those of us that saw the EU policy on refugees would lead to tears were right.
The policy that works is in existence. The Australians are no longer having boats full of illegal immigrants arriving on Christmas Island, to my knowledge.

As a gay man, I don't feel nausea watching a lesbo sex scene or a guy going down on a gal - for me whether genital to genital or mouth to genital it's the whole spectrum of human sexuality, nothing revolting about it. A human body is a human body, regardless of gender.
What revolting is the behaviour of damning other people's sexuality simply because it's not like yours. Why is it ok for a male's mouth going at it on a vagina or a female's mouth, but not ok on another male's dick or his mouth? As long as it's not pedophilia or necrophilia or bestiality - in short any sexual rigmarole between consensual human adults that's not injurious or wounding or involving children and animals (simply because these two groups could not consent to have sex with anyone) then it's all "normal" sex to me. I did find revolting the subject of a docu (not porn) some years ago about a group of gay men having sex with horses, some deaths resulted from such sexual activities - luckily not on the part of the horses I might say.
Brokeback Mountain was able to cross the gay barrier because it had a sad ending for the male closeted character. Had he come out of his closet and been able to live a decent open gay life, the movie would not have been that popular. I did not see BM simply because it promoted such defeatist life-style for the gay community. BM's director, Ang Lee ("Crouching tiger", "the life of Pi" etc.) also made an earlier movie ("the Wedding Banquet") in which the gay character had to get married and on wedding night had sex with his bride while highly inebriated, that did not sit well with me either.
I would prefer not to see anyone of any gender having pretend sex in a movie. It's never a necessary part of the movie and adds nothing of importance. If I wanted to watch people copulating I'd get a porno.
It wasn't necessary in the 50s and they made good movies then.
