  1. If they are being sold down the river, it's entirely self inflicted. Only fools do not learn from history. I remember well the alacrity with which they joined in, and spent all the money on bombs and missiles in Ukraine instead on the people that provided the tax. Whether Trump is Putin's poodle or not it's time for this embarrassment to western society being consigned to history under the topic of "stupid wars that didn't have to happen".
  2. Perhaps like the cat being both dead and alive at the same time, Russia can be virtually destroyed militarily and still capable of taking over Europe against a nuclear armed NATO. Even Albert would be at a loss to understand the warmongers characterization of Russia.
  3. Al Jazeera characterised it as Vance "lecturing" his audience. IMO they deserve more than a spot of lecturing, but corporal punishment has been banned by the wokeistas.
  4. Unfortunately they will not learn an iota from Vance's speech and blame Trump for all their troubles- standard excuse for liberals today- if caught being antidemocratic just deflect to Trump. One hopes the next election sees the entire cabal banished to the political wilderness, but I have no doubt the bribery will be full on to retain the IMO corrupt present system, so I'm not holding my breath- the sheeple care only about woke issues and the latest toys.
  5. When I was in the military a tankie is someone in an armoured vehicles corps. I have zero idea if that is what he means, nor do I care. Best ignored.
  6. Fair enough. I expect the final agreement to look something like that. Had Ukraine negotiated at the start, they'd be doing so from a far more favourable standpoint, and not lost as much land. Can they thank Boris for that? Don't ever trust a clown.
  7. Don't want to accept the inevitable end on terms unfavourable to Ukraine then? Even the Sun might get things right sometimes.
  8. Given what you just wrote, and given that anyone with a clue knew that 3 years ago, it was in no one's interest to start. This isn't the like the Iraq wars, nice desert to speed tanks over and a massive air advantage- it's a war fought in a bog for part of the year with trenches and WW1 style attrition. WW1 only ended when the US sent more cannon fodder, but in this situation that is as likely as Trump resigning.
  9. Bolton is an idiot warmonger IMO and Trump did the right thing is sacking him.
  10. Does Kasparov, or yourself, understand what using nukes means- seems not. There is no possibility of a first strike denying Russia a nuclear retaliation and hey presto we all die in nuclear winter. Does his chatter about a spine mean that the Euros need to put their military into Ukraine- cue WW3.
  11. It's good to see some common sense on here. I especially liked the bit "Schrödinger’s cat was a thought experiment to highlight the absurdity of certain quantum interpretations—not to flat-out disprove them." Even a simple wikipedia search say that. I recently had cause to research that very subject.
  12. To the poster with the sad emoji- you know who you are- you're going to be a lot sadder in the near future as you see your dreams of Zelensky driving a tank through the Kremlin gates vanish like the dream you had last night.
  13. Even the BBC is capable of understanding reality. I suspect any attempt to deviate from the official UK position was met with a visit from certain people. That position is now as tenuous as a snowflake on a sunny day. For those on here wondering when Trump was going to end the war, you just saw the end beginning.
  14. Thank you for posting the bleeding obvious that so many on here ignore. Ukraine, IMO was never going to win, as I said from the start on this forum. Trump and his bud Putin are going to wind it up, and Zelensky and the Euros can go **** in the wind. The only reason it went on so long is down to Biden- there is no way the Euros could keep the farce going without the US, IMO, as we will see, despite their big words that mean nothing in the real world. Euro "leaders" are going to have a hard sell to their voters as to why they spent all the money in Ukraine and not on them. The next election is going to be interesting! I suppose Zelensky is pondering if he should stay on and hope Trump changes his mind, or take the loot and scarper. Perhaps he has a sub ready to take him to Argentina. Seems most of the countries on the planet saw reality and did NOT support the Euro side in this squabble- that must mean something. Trump, IMO, got it right when he described the fiasco as "ridiculous".
  15. Looking at Trump ranting on about deporting Palestinians from their own land to Jordan in contravention of international law while the king of Jordan looked on was priceless ( Jordan has refused to take any already ). I can only imagine what the king was thinking, but it won't be complimentary If Trump is going to take this to the ultimate of sending US troops to collude in war crimes I hope the 25th amendment is invoked. Trump should stick to domestic situations as IMO he has lost the plot when it comes to the M E, and is looking like a fool, howling at the moon.
  16. Given I do not have a phone that connects to the internet, yes I do have a book of road maps in my car. I do not have an internet service for daily tasks. I can survive without internet- can you?
  17. Would that be the rightful owner of the land that Americans live on?
  18. The equivalent in the US would be telling all the people in New York that they were going to be relocated to Wyoming, for their own good, and never mind that they lose their own land and houses as new ones would be built for them. If you want to see what really awaits them, look at the refugees in Jordan, and you will know why it's not an attractive prospect.
  19. Are there not laws banning deleting ANY information on official government info? Can we expect some arrests to be made?
  20. That appears to say that you think the previous cabal of spotty geeks that had access to the nation's secrets were more trustworthy than Musk et al. I don't trust any of them- the previous mob or the new mob. I certainly don't think they had/ have the best interests of the population at heart. It's all about control. As always, my opinion.
  21. Even if that is no more than political speak, it's great to hear a politician admit that they don't have a mandate to waste taxpayer's money on any old nonsense, as has been happening as long as I can remember.
  22. While I do not oppose scrapping the USAID office and moving it to State, I believe that it can only happen if congress approves it. One assumes it will be yet another nonsense for the SCOTUS to rule on.
  23. Thank you, Saved me from having to point that out. Personally, I am unaware of any reason that it should be down to the US to be the main provider of support to countries that have ruined themselves, and refuse to control their population when they can't support the numbers being born. If the US cuts aid to certain countries, the Euros and other countries can put themselves further into debt to make it up, if they care that much. Perhaps the wealthy in those countries could support their needy citizens themselves. I'm sure they are not short of a $ or 3.
  24. There is no interest in the stories of Palestinian prisoners recently released by israel. Wonder why that is?
