  1. Well one presumes, much like all political protests, rallies, and indeed the January 6th 2021 events, there will have been funds raised to pay for some signs and organising. Transport for such events is, usually in my limited experience (UK) self funded. Many of the signs at the last one looked distinctly home made! I am delighted that you appreciate the nickname, given your academic background (so good that it is being recognised by others now by the way) you will undoubtably recognise the, umh, North Korean allusion it conveys!
  2. I just thought it worth mentioning that all the panic and "news entertainment" frothy mouthing about "Antifa" has, I can reassure you, absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with tomorrows (forecast to be massive) popular protests against The Fragrant Leader and his policies!
  3. Pardonable offence? There is some opinion which might say it is a qualification to be hired by "The Fragrant Leader's" rapidly expanding alphabet soup of assorted Federal "law enforcement militias"!
  4. I have to say, whilst not exactly the epitome of "haute cuisine", I do like a pair of poached eggs with chips, served with a dab of "Rozzi" ketchup! Thai food yes, away from the urban "street food" centres. I do draw the line at chicken feet and assorted bugs and maggots!
  5. I suppose it may take peoples minds off the other little matter...
  6. I'm sure that if they wished the system could pierce the cloak of anonimity from which we post. Luckily I have no intention to visit the USA I would be slightly perturbed if I thought that a member of this board was "collecting receipts" with a view to informing on others; might I suggest a more productive hobby such as building model trains?
  7. Very carefully written to avoid any mention of the families "ethnic origin" or religion - pity the reference to Eid slipped through - they need to get a grip of their sub-editor!
  8. "Let he who is without sin cast the first sin". Fat orange bloke out in front enthusiastically waving a bag of rocks...
  9. He is an oaf, and a very nasty piece of work, now quite rightly disgraced, thrown out of public life and spirallingly inexorably into the humiliating ignominy of losing his grand "grace and favour" home; altogether no loss to the UK or the monarchy. However he is far from unique amongst men in regarding "sex as his birthright" - indeed I must confess to still being rather keen on it...
  10. Israel has only ever executed one man - Adolph Eichman, not a traitor but a Nazi functionary responsible for much of the planning and implementation of "the final solution", and then only after a long and exhaustive public trial. Britain has executed traitors, but again only after public trials. The last was in 1946 (William Joyce a.k.a. Lord Haw Haw). These people were dragged from their homes and summarily executed in public - no trial, no evidence, just shot in cold blood. I am surprised, as a lawyer, that you do not see the distinction.
  11. Ah, I had forgotten, you are a lawyer aren't you!
  12. An unsubtle, if rather accurate, dismissal of a somewhat silly argument!
  13. Certainly that would make life very difficult! I can't imagine it was in any way linked to his views, or activism in any way, I mean, that would be an abuse of the banking process, and I cannot imagine the government standing for that- much less being complicit in it! Ironic though - one of the reasons for questioning him was that he was carrying a lot of cash - yet he is denied access to banking!
  14. Reading these exchanges certainly would help pass the time in an airport queue; if it is a really long queue time can I also suggest Lord Heseltine's diatribe on leaving / rejoining the EU, given at the Tory Conference? "Butt hurt" is not a term or concept to which I particularly subscribe, but it does seem that he of the windproof smock and bouffant hair do (remember that?) hasn't sat down for several years!
  15. Mandelson "deemed him safe", this from a man who had by then twice resigned from minesterial posts amidst allegations of corruption!
  16. Yes, it will be interesting to see what the the eventual fallout from the crass stupidity of their antics at that Korean plant in Georgia will be. Those pictures of people being shackled and taken away in buses won't go away for some time.
  17. But "Starmer" rhymes and scans so well with several other appellations and catchphrases...
  18. But, but, but; he had a lavish travelling style, driving a Bentley, carrying cash, obviously dodgy! Who were the arresting officers? Inspector Chisholm and Sergeant Jones? I have to say that I have a fairly low opinion of friend Tommy, although I do think that his antics around the whole grooming gangs business and the publicity it attracted probably helped stop them being further covered up. Taking money from Elon Musk will probably not help his popularity overall. Mind you I rather feel the same way about Farage/Reform UK's links with Trump!
  19. Might find himself sharing a pit with The Fragrant Leader!
  20. Goodness me, I never realised that illegal aliens had the vote. In that case there is definitely a need for some rather portly, older than usual cops, masked, unidentified and heavily armed, to patrol the queues in predominantly Democrat voting areas demanding to see papers, wanting to know where intending voters were born, and dragging into unmarked vehicles any who give unsatisfactory (to them) answers. If this provokes protests, the integrity of democracy demands that voting ceases at these polling stations. If the protests are widespread then the elections may have to be cancelled regionally, or even ñationally! We can be sure that Mr Squeaker Johnson will have the matter in hand.
  21. I think that rather depends on who you mix with. I am far from moving in "hi so" circles but know several Thais who speak English quite well. Pronunciation of "r" and "l" are "dead spots" amongst many, perhaps most South East Asians when speaking Thai.
  22. But, but, but, it is harmless, only beneficial to it's users and has no risks associated with habitual use!
  23. Yes, those files, the ones which the FBI had to deploy 1000 agents on redacting Trumps name from, and still can't release!
  24. If he invokes The Insurrection Act and the courts block him he will ignore them, and claim that it is further evidence of insurrection! He absolutely must construct and maintain the distraction, even if it means the country breaks apart; especially as his foul little secret oozes ever closer to daylight!
  25. Well it is quite usefull to be able to blame them historically for much that ails the world.
