  1. Oh I doubt whether anyone would be interested in publishing an article from me, much better informed minds than mine carry that particular torch! Besides, I would have to pay for publication. As I said in my post, this is a discussion forum, not a court of law, and therefore these are my opinions and not findings. Have you many published works, outside the academic paper which you told us you wrote ( but were strangely reluctant to provide a reference, or even the subject, for)? As for being a liar I rather fail to see how expressing an opinion, based on reports and a mass of circumstantial evidence which is very much in the public domain makes me a liar. That said, I really couldn't care less what you think of me. I know your opinion, and it is probably as low as is my opinion of you. After all, "You are a liar" is your go to, pearl clutching response to anyone who expresses an opinion which doesn't mirror yours. You have said it so often, to so many posters, that it is utterly meaningless; in fact rather pathetic. However, if you feel it so keenly, by all means copy it and forward it to Trump. I have doubts that neither he, nor his lawyers could take any action against an Englishman living in Northern Thailand for expressing an opinion, but if it makes you feel any better go ahead, "fill your boots"!
  2. I'm flattered that you read my posts that attentively!
  3. My 4 dogs enthusiastically bark at them. Doesn't work!
  4. I dont agree with @spidermike007 on quite a lot of things, quite a lot of the time. He is however quite capable of coming up with a post such as that one. And I rather think he is right - the USA's star is sinking, China's (like it or not) is rising. Trump's remarkable presidency is hastening that process.
  5. It's called rule of law. Wasn't there a document written by some august and respected chaps in 1787, ratified in 1788, and in operation since 1789, which had quite a lot to say on the subject?
  6. Made in "Chaina" no doubt!
  7. Given the current tensions within the UK, and in particular the friction between the indigenous and Muslim immigrant communities, reinforced perhaps by a recent arrest of a white male for mentioning bacon during a protest, perhaps the "Original Posters" posting identity is, umh, unfortunate? I'm 67 and a cripple, so perhaps I am safe? Mind you, I am quite partial to a bacon butty, and of course " no one is above the law!
  8. I'm surprised, if Gavin Newsom was the unmitigated unelectable disaster so many suggest, then presumably you would be all for him - but strangely you are not!
  9. That was funny. I don't think that Taylor Swift is particularly hedonistic! Now shagging a porn star whilst your wife is nursing a new born ( and paying her off using political campaign funds), having a deep and alledgedly consumated attraction to furniture, being so pissed at a works do that you have to be carried unable to stand off the stage at a strip club, and being thrown out of a theatre for giving someone other than your husband a handjob; well those are all pretty hedonistic!
  10. Is there a worse role model for women than Taylor Swift? well, let me see: Pam Bondi, Kristi Noem, Tulsi Gabbard, Marjorie Taylor Green, Lauren Boebart...
  11. As ever @Yagoda, may I point out that this is a discussion forum, not a court of law. If it were you seem to have appointed yourself as judge, and defence council in this matter! I suggest that Trump is deeply involved in the whole Epstein matter. That is my opinion, based on a large amount of circumstantial evidence: his boasting about his "tastes" on various media, similar boasting of frequenting changing rooms at teenage girls "beauty pageants", photographs of him in the company of Epstein including ones of him (and Epstein) with young girls, and several depositions which have been made ( prior to his entry into politics) about his involvement and partaking, which have been buried by threats and large cash payments, but which nevertheless exist. All circumstantial I agree, but still public. Add to that the extraordinary and quite chaotic lengths his administration is going to in order to prevent the release of what is perhaps more concrete and damming evidence in the files they have admitted and then denied exist, and then bizarrely, if they don't exist, announced that they are deploying huge resources to reacting Trump's name from! So, based upon that I have formed the opinion that the fragrant 47th President of The United States is in this scandal up to his spray tanned neck. I fully accept that my views on this are heavily influenced by my general opinion that he is an amoral, deceitful, bullying narcissist; but they are my views. You don't have to like or accept them; continue to believe in his innocence, that is entirely your right. I have committed to one opinion, you are irrevocably following another. Hard evidence of his innocence could persuade me to change his mind, although granted not my opinion of his character. I rather doubt any amount of evidence could persuade you to change yours! Now I don't expect that these allegations will ever be properly investigated, let alone come to trial. This would be a scandal on a scale greater than the one that ended Nixon's presidency, infinitely greater than the ones which swirled around Clinton. It would do such damage that it would rock the foundations of the US state, and drag in, quite possibly, many more than Trump himself, from across the political spectrum. Unless a very radical (Democrat) administration comes to power then those files, which would serve to confirm or deny these (my) allegations will remain hidden. An interesting side note, I tried to quote @TedG alongside you preparing this post, but for some reason both his posts aimed at me cannot be quoted.
  12. Yes, substantially justifiable allegations. They are in the public domain.
  13. Does it include substantially justifiable allegations of having sex with little girls? Just thought I would ask...
  14. Given that the decision to dramatically commute Thsksin's sentence, and spend the time in the VIP suite of a Government hospital, was almost certainly ratified at the highest level, then appeals against this verdict, even though it is a different case, are rather a "no win game". The fix was in before his return from exile.
  15. A few years ago I ended up in hospital for quite a while - initially in ICU, then on a ward for several weeks. For much of that time I was quite heavily sedated. My Visa was about to lapse, and the hospital Bill meant I did not have enough to renew it. I went to my immigration office. Several IOs "coffee shopped" the problem, then told me to nip into Laos for a 30 day entry, extend it for a further 30 days, and then go and see an agent. They even gave me the contact details for a couple.
  16. I'm not a lawyer, but I don't think it is either.
  17. Yes. It was perhaps inevitable though; but just look at the most vocal, as so often scenting a wonderful opportunity to revel in another's misfortune!
  18. Certainly given the circus surrounding the storage of documents in the Mar a Lago khazi and the subsequent extraordinary legal gymnastics which went on to justify and deny it with his legal team, and the "unconventional" judicial processes followed by the judge dealing with it to ensure the exculpation of the fragrant Donnie (I mention this solely because his remarkable olefactory attraction and animal magnetism to a certain blonde Italian politician was so obvious this week!) it is hard not to chuckle cynically. Still, I suppose that is what the FBI and DOJ exist for these days, a new remit under their swivel eyed leadership in the land of the free! I doubt Mr Bolton is particularly worried, I had little time for him when in office, but I am sure that he was savvy enough to expect this. It is sad that Bolton and Kash Patel have broken ranks as authors - both have written books, albeit for very different audiences. Bolton's recent offering was, I understand, less than complementary about Trump and his cabal, not that it will have been widely read - no pictures, and the paper quality not suitable for colouring!
  19. This could lead to a significant difficulties in obtaining low value imported goods, like, I don't know, Sharpie pens for example? Leading in turn to governmental paralysis...
  20. I am reluctant, as a foreigner to comment, but the two terms limit is, I understand, rather more than a policy, it is part of the Constitution, put into place by the 22nd Amendment. It limits all President's to two terms, consecutive or separated. I understand that it would require an amendment again to remove it. That would require to be passed in both houses of Congress, I am unsure as to the maths as to the majorities required, but I am pretty sure that they are significantly greater than the knife edge majorities presently enjoyed by The Republican Party. That the Republican Party will achieve the sort of majorities required after next year's Mid Term elections is perhaps unlikely. I also understand that a majority of States ( again I am unsure as to how great a majority) would have to ratify the process before any such amendment would become effective. I suppose I could Google the details, but I am sure that American members have the details at their fingertips! Anyway I should imagine that, even with the total control of both houses which would be required, the whole process would take rather more than the 2 years available.
  21. An interesting, umh, pointer, to your beliefs in how a modern army is made up!
  22. I am not sure that I would go so far as to describe Melanie Trump as awesome. However that letter was simple and effective. She doesn't often use her title and status as The President's wife, but this is a good subject to pitch in on. I actually feel rather sorry for her. She is trapped in a marriage, with a man who has openly cheated on her and whom she fairly obviously loathes; a marriage which she entered into, and sticks with, for perhaps less than altruistic motives but nonetheless she is unhappily stuck. I don't think she is motivated by the same malign and narcissistic traits which, in my opinion, drive her husband. I hope that she makes it through - roll on payday eh! She is still rather attractive - ask Gavin Newscom!
  23. Golly, talk about a multitude of sins! Personally I would suggest that the issue of abducted Ukrainian Children is NEVER minor. To suggest that it is a "minor issue" is utterly disgraceful, and you should be ashamed of yourself. Yes, Melania has raised it, and credit to her for doing so. Perhaps that should merit some consideration by the Nobel committee? Now that would put the cat amongst the pigeons!
  24. Let's face it, if there was a topic about The Wars of the Roses @brewsterbudgenwould make a post, with a supporting Guardian article no doubt, that it was all down to Brexit!
  25. You "inherited" this system over a year ago. You campaigned on changing, sorting it out. You have had no effect whatsoever, other than totally losing the confidence of the people on the matter.
