  1. He is a self declared "non denominational Christian" (I am not sure what that is, but it sounds more like an excuse than a faith). He is most certainly not a Catholic. He is a great friend of Benjamin Nethanayu, I am not sure that is the same thing as a great friend of Israel. I would describe myself as a convinced if not uncritical supporter of Israel, but I think that Nethanayu is the worst thing to have happened to Israel for a generation!
  2. If there are 2500 dead lying around in the relatively small area in which the conflict was fought, they would by now, in this climate, be obvious from some distance away.
  3. Well I am a non-American, and observe from abroad, and he seems, to me, to be an absolute shower! Sort of chap who sleeps in his vest!
  4. Well that would result in considerable financial savings - she would be able to combine the roles of judge, prosecutor and jury!
  5. Yes, What the majority of Americans are asking right now is: Where is the accountability? And they deserve answers. The question however is more probably, was the President "a player" in Epstein's teenage girls sex fest, and if so where is the accountability? The probable answers, yes and no.
  6. Rather as happened with various Grand Juries which led to various inditements against Mr Trump then? Didn't he end up with a variety of convictions as a result?
  7. I believe that the correct military term is "utter nonsense".
  8. 2500 dead? Then one can assume another 7500 wounded. Hospitals throughout the country would be overflowing. 2500 families mourning their dead; you would have thought that someone would have noticed? Frankly I doubt that Cambodia has that many rear area logistical troops!
  9. The Safety of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Act 2024 , which received Royal Assent in April 2024 made the plan entirely legal.
  10. Bugger me, a constructive comment - not! So expand Chopper, please do, what do we do about that million "backlog"? Let them stay, as a massive drain on the taxpayer, and an increasing unsustainable drain on housing and healthcare resources. Come on, let's have some concrete ideas!
  11. The one in the middle carrying a can of coke with three straws...
  12. I've binned using gas, and instead use an induction hob and a halogen oven. Cleaner, just dial in the temperature and time and it gets on with it. It is one of the few areas in life where I have embraced the C21!
  13. I vaguely recall that when Windows 10 was launched, we were told that it had put an end to the regular new editions of Windows which came out every couple of years.
  14. I do hope that you have given sufficient consideration to cultural diversity and maintenance of societal cohesion before making that post!
  15. I think you missed one. President: Donald J Trump Estimated IQ: your guess is as good as mine. Notes: self proclaimed stable genius, known for bankrupting many businesses, now working on "the biggy". Fluent in utter bull<deleted>. A deep interest in young people.
  16. I am not sure how gifing these people digital or any other ID will solve any problems. They normally have no verifiable identity, or even country of origin. They are already housed, fed given pocket money and looked after at public expense. They are given access medical, dental, opticians and legal services which the citizens of the country either simply cannot get, have to wait a long time for or pay a lot of money for!
  17. That wouldn't work in Wales where every third person is called Jones! I am reminded of the tale of the unfortunate soldier in The Royal Regiment of Wales (sometimes known as The Viet Taff); they were identified by the surname and the last three digits of their army number. Pity the chap whose last three were 000, forever known as "Jones <deleted> all"!
  18. I really don't understand golf, have never so much as touched a golf bat, but even I understand having your caddy place balls like that is cheating! Mind, when I look at some of the releases from the White House I cannot help thinking that just maybe they have someone on their staff who enjoys taking the piss?
  19. The inflationary and depressive effects of tariffs will take some months to work their way into the statistics - but of course that won't matter as the little matter of unfavourable statistics has been "sorted"!
  20. Dont forget that medicine prices are soon to be reduced by 1500% (!). The man with a complete grasp of numbers told us himself, live, on TV!
  21. Even proven thugs have the right to speak. Mind you, there could be a case for " protective custody". He could share a cell with that Labour Councillor (Ricky Jones wasn't it) who called for people to be beheaded, perhaps even split the costs on lawyers - Ricky' s council no doubt having a burning desire to defend free speech...
  22. Least of all Mr Trump. It is of course possible to read explanations of and opinions on how tarrifs will affect the economy written by suitably qualified people. It is also possible to dismiss those as "lies spewed by haters"!
  23. Leave the poor chap alone - he is just enjoying "trumping" (old English use of the verb to trump) in his echo chamber!
  24. They are a military superpower - although they do need to do something about the annoying habit they have of dropping multi million pound aircraft of the decks of their aircraft carriers when going round corners! Politically they are really a laughing stock. Economically they are making great strides in alienating any significant trading partners.
  25. Tell that to the Marines, and indeed Mrs Lucy Connolly!
