There are no travel restrictions within Thailand at the moment. Although the advice is don't. Bus, train, car, plane. I think the mode is up to you ....go now anyway. Things might change. Fortunately in Thailand any governmental decision requires much thought about the consequences first which takes time! As the PM reminds us daily. Meanwhile at local and provincial level it's a free for all.
"There are no travel restrictions within Thailand at the moment." I was under the impression you weren't supposed to leave your province ???

Afternoon all. Mate's wife shopping in Tops today was told by a staff member that all alcohol sales will be banned for 30 days from April 1st. First thing I thought of was the good ol April fools day. But don't think rural Thais are into it. Anyone else hear any rumors ?

Fitted carpets in the tropics?
Get big rugs, lots if you like. You can take them outside and beat the living daylights out of them (good therapy for those going stir-crazy) and leave them in the (free) sunshine to kill all the bugs.
I take it you mean leaving the rugs outside, permanently. Where they belong in a tropical environment.

I think a lot of us retirees are waiting for our mate Ubon Joe to give us his thoughts.

Visited both Tops & BigC in Sakon Nakhon yesterday. Temp check & compulsory hand sanitising at entry points. Booze readily available at both. But then, it is an essential !

"Despite it being a beautiful, breezy day of clear skies down on the Eastern Seaboard" Eastern Seaboard ? I must have been looking at the map upside down all this time.

Another guy that's never made any mistakes or has no regrets in life, right?
Pretty helpful suggestion, why bother??
Oh Hash Brown... how wrong you are. Made way more than my share of mistakes. Especially with women. Cost me almost everything. Regrets, now there's another story. But, I don't live in or dwell on the past. It's all part of the journey. Living a pretty modest life here in Nakon Nowhere. Positive outlook, good health & good friends. Maybe the suggestion might help others before it's too late. Why bother... Well, this is a forum. You know, banter, exchange of ideas, a bit of humour, maybe some sarcasm now & then.
I guess with 40 posts so far, you'll eventually get the hang of it.

Probably returning to your home country before you reached this stage would have been a good idea.

Couldn't agree more ! If it weren't for brain dead tree huggers, back burning would have been carried out over past seasons. This back burning may not have prevented the bush fires however would have greatly reduced their devastation. The sooner the Greens become extinct the better. Remember... the only true wilderness is between a greenies ears !

Hi all ???? Any of you DIYers know if Torx head or square head wood screws are available here in LOS ? I've tried Lazada without luck. I'm constantly having problems with the normal Phillips head screws.
Thanks in advance.

I'm researching travel insurance for over 70's. Travel for trips originating in Thailand. Round trip.
Anyone able to comment on
or their recommended insurers ?
Thanks in advance

Check your credit card some cards offer free travel from 90 to 180 days I use a platinum around $270AU a year but more than payed for itself when traveling...If you dont have one of these cards good idea to get one...
FYI. I reside in Thailand. I have an ANZ platinum visa credit card. I retain an Australian address. I have contacted the ANZ insurer & you only qualify for the credit card linked insurance if you are traveling FROM Australia not INTO Australia.
