Yes, I'd be somewhat peeved if this happened to me. But the first thing I would be doing is getting in touch with the Revenue Department & explain the situation & request they send you another "letter" to your residential address.
In my home country if a letter is addressed to a business address, the business have every right to open said mail. Having mail sent to work address isn't the best idea as I'm sure you now realize.
I doubt you'll have much joy in filing a law suite.

This isn't meant to be a flame or a put down.... but !!! After over 6,000 posts you are asking this question.
This issue has been answered a gazillion times, almost on a daily basis.
Am I missing something ???

I guess I can count myself lucky as I had a Fedex delivery driver that could talk to me in English when he called about my delivery but also said he would find me using Google maps. He got to my house in the burbs of Ban Chang and was waiting for me when I arrived at home that day
Na, the FedEx guy just stopped to ask directions & fluked your house.

Does anyone think that the Thai people are going to heed them?
Anyone?
Anyone?
You guys just don't get it, do you ?
It has absolutely nothing to do with law, rules or regulations.
It's all about the photo opportunity.

Thanks for that :-)

Hi all. I recently read somewhere about a restaurant- coffee shop that has a small animal farm attached. I think it's north of the city, about an hour or so drive. I've searched but so far no luck. Any ideas anyone ?
Thanks in advance.

Again with the seven dangerous Songkran days! Instead of paying thousands of police overtime to stare at their phones all day; why don't they send hundreds out on motor bikes arresting violators? Why don't Thai police work at night when the daily carnage is at its peak?
Why bring logic & common sense into this ?

Hi all. Anyone out there have any idea if we can get to see the Touring cars here this year. Since Setanta no longer have the Rugby League I'm wondering about the Cars.
Thanks in advance.

Five hours is about right averaging about 100 kph.
That is a straight through drive without stopping for gas , food or lavatory.
If driving during Songkran holiday will definitely take longer.
I'd like to see you average 100 kph for a 5 hour drive.... think about it.

Like I've said on many occasions. You could bring a corpse into LOS in your checked baggage... as long as you didn't declare it.

Have you tried Mr Google ? Many services listed, this is just one on the first page. http://www.cargomaster.com.au/services/import/freight-thailand-australia/ If they don't offer the exact service you are looking for, I'm sure they could suggest next best option.
That's what I'd be doing.
Cheers......

I've been residing in LOS for 4 years. I return to OZ for about 2 weeks every 6 months to visit elderly mum. Last year I needed a new Medicare card. Went to local Centerlink office & inquired how to obtain. Showed my current QLD drivers license. Was given a perprinted document as an interim card. New card arrived in the post within a few days.
Maybe I was just lucky.

You know you are living in Thailand when you stand in the doorway of a 7-11 & can see another 3 or 4 7-11's within easy walking distance.

"Their face showed surprise when we moved in and asked for a proper mailbox after some mail were mishandled. A mailbox , just like any other technology, is completely unheard of!"
I think I must be missing something here. HomePro, Global House & most larger hardware type stores SELL mail, letter boxes. Our local post office sells 2 or 3 different sizes of mail box. This post office isn't in a metro area, we're out in the sticks.
Here in the village we get mail delivery 6 days a week. Also get weekly garbage collection in small compactor type truck. Oh, about no technology, we recently had fiber cable installed. Have to admit we had to wait for 6 homes in the village to request the fiber cable to be installed, but hey, that's just economics.
If your answer to the original post is a reflection of your attitude, maybe that's why they get angry & flustered ???

I'd go for KK.

For what it's worth, I find hair conditioner the best soap for a smooth shave.
But hey.... That's just me.

Better these 2 continue with PMs (no, not PMS). But they are probably neighbors. In Trang...
Well, if this pair are really from Trang, & their crap is indicative what Trang can do to you, it certainly won't be on my to visit list.

Where are all the Mods when you need one ?
C'mon guys... hasn't my post been hijacked sufficiently for one of you to close ???

Guys !!! How about starting your own post ? I asked for some advice & have received many worthwhile suggestions. I didn't ask for a bickering match by a couple of "????????" If a mod reads this they might like to close the post. Thanks.

Howdy all. Some first hand advice/ suggestions please.
I'm contemplating a short, about 4 day, beach holiday. A few friends have suggested Phuket, but I'm thinking Phuket is becoming too commercialized ? I have never traveled to any of the southern islands or beaches. I have visited Pattaya on several occasions, but don't wish to go again.
I'll be on somewhat of a budget, so 3 star accommodation is all I'm looking for.
What I "think" I'd like would be.... Reasonable beach. Ok bar or restaurants. Maybe a night market to wander. Oh, I'll be taking a friend so no need to offer suggestions re lady access.
Thanks in advance.

Just need a bigger wall or just shoo them off to Cambodia
Probably Cambodian elephants. Thai elephants would never do this.

Yes, there's a fish bowl in Korat as well. Pretty fair line up, so I'm told.

I sympathize with you. But isn't the main criteria here getting a "replacement letter" ?
We are in Thailand after all, & I guess you'd have more hope of winning first division in the lottery than a successful result in any court action you might take.
If you do proceed with any action I'm sure we'd all like to know the result.
Best of luck.
