well, ADSL on Phuket is very common. I ordered and was up and running 3 working days later.

There is 2 phone wire companies, TOT and TT&T. TOT give u best speed for less baht. TT&T offers a wide range of more expensive ISPs, u can choose til u get blue in the fase. Have a good experience with JI net

hi there, I move a month ago to Chalong, working in Phuket Town. I wonder if there is any expat hangouts around Kata, Chalong or wherever.

I also looking for a Tennis court where its possible to practise some hours on saturdays or sundays, even weekdays in the evening.. I have seen courts by Kata Beach, but may be some near Nabon, Chalong ...

and any other hobby tennis players around?

behind/next to Big C and Central, there is a manision with Pool and ADSL in many of the rooms, 7000 a moonth.

but I recomend The best manision in Chalong, but not sure they have adsl IN the rooms. the Place is awsome.

DTAC has wireless connection, nice speed, u pay aprox 10 000 b for a pcmcia card, and 1000 a baht month , then ure online wherever your mobile is.

Here in Norway we have something called Family reunion.

Familiegjenforening, by the UDI Foreign affairs. This can be applied for while she is in (Sweeden? ) Norway.

Check it out. our countries are very much similar in this rules I think. I hope.

If you can do that, and because youre married, then she can stay there whit you while she waiting for the answer (the recidence perimt, that allow her to work, school etc etc.. )

all Schengen countries has the same rules. I live in Norway, the neighbour. U simply do this:

write the papers that say you sponsor, bring invitation letter, and statement of your living together in Thai. AND the reservation for tickets both ways.

Then go and apply. U should have the visa after 5 days. She can/will have 90 days Tourist Visa. Then she have to stay out from Schengen for same amount of days. Read the visa carefully, if its a single entry, do not leave Schengen while youre there! (UK)

in that case, be her guaratee, reservation for flight tickets and try another country, the nearest neighbor. She can travel inside Schengen with a 1 entry visa.

its ok. BIG chances actually. I was in London in september and my girlfriend applied for visa to UK. I had papers like you, only diffrence is that she had a job, and a paper from the employer that she was only for vacation. She got visa for the period she applied (airticket bookings)

First time out from Thai for her. NO problem at all. I didnt have that much income either then!

Same happend next time, in december, we went to Norway. Schengen!!!

90 days visa, as simple as that. that time it was no letter from employer.

Just be sure to dress proper as usual and act nice in the embassy. Your letters and info is important.
