I know of plenty of restaurants that DO NOT operate a double pricing policy.

Second; my solution about NOT pay double farang price. I bring my kon dee wife, and she talk, (while I cant talk proper thai yet)

clocking your CPU:

most new BIOS's let you manually clock your cpu higher than Normal settings. as my AMD XP2200+ CPU is a 1,8 Ghz , but is able to run on 2,2 ghz.

by setting the speed manually in the BIos I manage to run it on 2,2 Ghz , and stable. And I turn the fan speed on my CPU up to cool the cpu down to below 40 Celcius.

Be aware that you may burn the CPU if its over heathed!! no fun.

But the common sense is: if your computer is nice and youre happy, dont bully it..

then you will not destroy it. If youre not familiar with hardcore modding let it be.

CRT is great man, if you have more than one user, and the resolution they use isnt the same.

But the LCD's are mainly made for a specific resolution, so they do not make that great picture if u squeze the res up or down.

Anyone know why Norwegians celebrate Christmas Day on the 24th? Are there any other countries that follow this?

We celebrate the evening on 24th because of this was the old Jol, (jul = xmas)

from the time long ago before the Christianity arrived in Norway.

This day was among the darkest day in winter, so thy offered presents to the Gods etc. this is the reasons that we give each other presents. This was done in the evening, of course, when it was darkest. The tree they brought into their livingroom, and had lights on was to celebrate the light thet should come, and so on.

but the Christians overtook this day, and they claim that the reasons we celebrate is because the birth of Jesus . thats why they call it Christmas.

Or the St. Nicolas or what ever. In Norway we call it Jul. Not christmas.

I heard Norway pays well.  And they are probably less strict on Visas than the UK.

What sort of professional is your gf?  I bet that she will jump ship pretty fast if you are only earning 20k. 

When I lost my job in Singapore, (an IT /internet job) my thai gf promptly dumped me and found a new farang (victim) to pay her loads of money and even rent a luxury condo for her in sukhumvit.

clear out something: My girlfriend is a Manager in a furnitures stor in Sukhumvit Soy xx, earning aproxx 10k B a month. I do work in my own company, but didnt work while I was in BKK. She know that I do not have a job. by now.

Norway is a member of the Schengen Cooperative. they are stricter than UK. she get 3 months visa.

No one cares if you use a laptop computer in Thailand. You could be playing computer games, writing your memoirs, checking your on-line bank balances - no one knows or cares.

I assume this also works if I move my workstation ...

not all of us drive like idiots. But its a nice thing to know that everybody else do. then you might save your life, and your girlfriends too.

never rented bike in Pattaya, but in Samui. theres a nice chap near the hospital there, by the O.P. Bungalows, he keeps your passport, I thought that was scary the first time, but hes all right. Several times during last 18 months.

mates! this is so common all around the world. I was 19 years old back in Norway once, and I had a girlfriend, stupid me, that went pregnant, claimed it was me. I went on doing the right, and the kid was born, I was a father (not a farther, hehe) and I claimed a DNA test, just in case!!

What did I do? Sued her and moved and had a nice life. Have not seen here scince. Today my 'daughter' is 12 years old. I was released from the fathership back then.
