  1. Well done and good strategic that Thai Premier did. More foreign governments are giving her full support especially US Government. Anti-protest supreme chief is losing more face and if he travel abroad, he will barred from entering the countries. He should never seize the government offices but he can stop or block the government officers from working at the outside compound. Praying for the peace negotiation and end the demonstration.

  2. To start the company, you need to do many stuffs.

    - Find a lawyer or accounting firm to do it for you.

    - Ready to pay around THB 15,000 - THB 25,000 for the processing fee + government stamp duty + etc. (this is for the registered/authorized capital THB 2 million).

    - Tell the lawyer/accounting firm what name you want

    - There must have 3 Thai citizen in the company and they are required to attached their bank statement (good record statement)

    - Foreigners allow to hold 49% only

    - Hire an accounting firm to do your monthly account (require by the law) cost around THB 2,000/per month to up (depend on your volume of sales)

    - Require a permanent office address for Department of Business Development and tax department

    - Must have contract for renting the place for office and also every month, you must pay tax for rental under the company

    - For auditing every year, it is depend on the sales business from the range of THB 10,000/per year to up

  3. If I don't mistake, there are only three countries are given free visa (any type) that is Malaysian, Singaporean and Philippians through the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate. But if you apply for one time visa (mean one year visa) in the Immigration Office at Cheangwattana Road, you will need to pay 1,900 baht plus showing your Thai bank statement have 400,000 baht and etc.

If you do a visa run at Aranyapretat (nearest from Bangkok), you need to pay 200 baht to the Cambodian Immigration when you do an exit out from Cambodia on the "same day" and you are Singaporean, you don't visa to enter Cambodia. No point to stay one night at the casino, there is nothing much to do there. From Bangkok - Aranyapretat - Bangkok will take 8 - 9 hours. I only spend 410 baht for the private van include return + Cambodia visa 200 baht.

  4. I want to check out with all of you who went to Poipet yesterday or today, is there any rain or flood along the way ... because I will be driving to Aranyaprathet tomorrow to do a visa-run. Thanks!

    Tell us what happened....:-)

It is so dry and hot along the way while I use the Chachoengsao to go as well use Nakorn Nayok to come back to Bangkok. No flood but have rain during evening.

  5. Bomb blasts: Malaysia PM extends condolence to Thai PM Yingluck

HAADYAI: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has extended his condolences and sympathies to the government and people of Thailand over the bombing incidents here and Yala on Saturday.

The Prime Minister also thanked the Thai government for its quick action in assisting Malaysians affected by the blasts.

Najib's Special Functions Officer Datuk Latt Shahriman Abdullah conveyed the prime minister's condolence to Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra when he met here Monday.

Latt Shariman said Najib was disappointed that the bombings happened and tourists were targetted.

"Yingluck told me the cost of medical treatment for Malaysians injured in the incidents would be borne by the Thai government. Besides this, the Thai government would make arrangements to send them back to their homes in Malaysia," he said. - Bernama

  6. macgver, what kind of visa are you talking about, and what are the requirements for it?

macgver, what kind of visa are you talking about, and what are the requirements for it?

Tourist visa ... many of my friends (with their family) did this way for almost 3 - 5 years but the problem is that you need to waste your passport page each time and the fee.

  7. If you plan to stay 3 months above (even one year or more), you need to go regularly to the Royal Thai Embassy in Laos or General-Consulate of Royal Thai in Penang to apply for a new visa stickers as you can only enter 90 days per entry if you have the visa sticker, otherwise with the immigration stamp, you allow to stay 30 days only. If you use land border, they only allow 15 days per entry. My suggestion is to first one, go the Royal Thai Embassy or consulate. Before you come to Thailand, get your 3 months first at your home country.

  8. It is very easy to apply single entry for Turkish visa if you follow the procedures, make sure you have the booking ticket for return and the visa charge 2,000 baht till today with 90 days per entry.

But if you want to apply multiple visa for Turkish visa, you might get rejected or delay processing because the embassy need to send it to Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Interior in Ankara, Turkey for further approval that it will take 1 - 2 months. The visa cost 6,000 baht till today and require a lot of documents.

It is not easy to get one year multiple visa with 90 days per entry for my wife (Thai) but eventually I able to get it through within 3 days without much problem. The only way, it is to talk to Ambassador or the first secretary for assistance, you have to make your way up.

    Hi,

just go to the turkish embassy in bangkok,

with your girlfriend & her Passport, don't forget some passport sized pictures (for emergency case, maybe they gonna ask you for those and you can't get them in the embassy). she has to will fill a visa-form, and if you're early enough at the embassy, lets say 9.30 (the visa-office opening time), she will get the visa with in an hour or maybe if there are to many applications, in the afternoon.

better not to go on friday & monday, busy days...

good luck & enjoy your Trip,

    Samuirep

My girlfriend (Thai Passport) and I are going on a little holiday in the beginning of June to Israel & Turkey. We are first flying to Israel to see some of the Holy Sites, Dead Sea and some friends. I know it can seem dangerous but I have been many times and feel safe. She already received the Tourist Visa to Israel and still needs the visa to Turkey.

Anyone here ever gotten a Turkey Visa for themselves or a Thai partner/friend? I don't think it should be too difficult as she has already traveled with me and has past visas for Taiwan, China, India, Nepal and has visited Hong Kong, Macau, Laos & Vietnam.

    Thanks in advance.
