Sacrifice a Virgin: Did that on the auspicious occassion of my 16th (post)
Leap naked from a tall building... : Would have got my vote but, alas, I do not reside in Pattaya.
Start a land war in Aisa:
Annex the Sudatenland and march east: But I wanna march North
Enrol as a monk: Saffron just aint my colour.
Quietly reflect on a full and varied life: hmmmmm
Invite your neighbours over for group sex: My 16th (post) was a wild night indeed.

Looks like the bootleggers will have to increase production.
Quite agree. Demand is likely to skyrocket with all the publicity.

Look on any map of Bangkok and the roads mentioned are close to the Grand Palace in a South East Direction.

Been in Thailand nearly 9 months on Tourist visas (arrived on Triple entry). Seems from other threads on the subject that there is no limit if you keep doing visa runs to neighbouring countries.
Dont take my word for it though. I am sure an expert will post soon.
All the best

Hello James...
I recently posted a similar thread in this forum and the Travel forum although my budget was a bit higher.
When I was in Pranburi I saw no other resorts 3 or 4 miles either side of the Evason resort that I had not previously seen on the internet.
Sorry I could not help more.
Good Luck

I have to agree with all the negative comments about beer in Thailand. Even Heineken has a bad effect and I'm not a big drinker (and I don't like spirits). I have never seen "Thai beer" but have recently found "Federbrau" which is the same price as Heineken, 4.7% and a refreshing change with no obvious after effects. Has anyone else tried it? Brewed in Ayutthaya but listed ingredients (if you can trust them) are just water, barley, malt, hops, and yeast. It says "all natural ingredients" on the can.
Federbrau came on to the market earlier this year. It is (allegedly) brewed using the German Beer Purity Law.
Not a bad tipple but never drank enough of the stuff to find out about the hangover.

Hoi An is indeed good, but I would take the plane from Ha Noi, the train ride is long and not very interesting. Do visit the museum of Ethnology in Ha Noi, well worth it.
I think there is also a 'Sleeping bus' thats goes to Hoi An (definately to Hue). About 15 hours overnight although If your nearly 6 feet (180cm) tall or over its an uncomfortable ride. All the travel/tour agents in Hanoi can fix you up with tickets (about $15-20)
The Water Puppet Theatre in Hanoi is good fun too. Go to ticket office early in the day for front row seats of an evening performance.

Ninh Binh. 2 hours by bus south of Hanoi. Has been described as Halong Bay in the paddy fields. Hire a bicycle and enjoy the stunning countryside.

^ Agreed. The area around Thanon Chakrawat is awash with Indian spice shops etc etc.

Airasia Fly from Suvarnabhumi Airport BKK. They have 5 departures daily to Chiang Mai.

Thailand is the only place in the world as far as I know that you can buy a bar-b-qued egg!

After the Chemical and/or vinegar treatment give it a clean using a newspaper instead of a cloth/sponge. THE best thing for glass.

Khao San Rd has a few
Also Soi Rambutri (next to temple) at the Northern end of Khao San Road has plenty of stalls/shops. Some of them give you 50% cash back when/if you return them when finished

You don't need any extra software to search a web page for a particular word. Your Internet browser has this search function built in. You don't say what browser you use but with Microsoft Internet Explorer you press Ctrl+F (or click on Edit, then click on Find on this Page...), type the search word, press Enter.

Maestro
Same Same (ctrl F) on Mozilla firefox. Will get a little box bottom left of screen. Type word + hey presto.

in the internet world, there is such thing as "search engine", brought to you by, for example, GOOGLE.
if you only had typed in the word PRANBURI on their website, you would have all your answers replied already.
therefore, I will not paste all the links to here. a little effort is still needed
okay okay, I dont wanna sound stingy, so here is at least ONE link: http://www.huahin.bangkok.com/pranburi/index.htm :-)
yeah, thanks for that. Spent about 4 hours searching various sites for CHEAP hotels. Found nothing under 1500thb in the area I wanted (near the Evason resort)
Thought someone with local knowledge could point me in the right direction. Hence my OP.
Thanks for the link

Hello All
Does anybody know of any cheap-ish (max 1500 baht) hotels/resorts in Pranburi.
My parents are coming over and they are staying at the Evason resort which is way over budget for me
I would like to find somewhere not too far away from them if at all possible.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Note to Mods: I have posted this question in the Travel Forum aswell.
English Premier League In Thailand
in Football forum
Posted
You will have no problems watching EPL. The big four tend to be favoured but all teams get shown.
Thai TV shows live games as well as the satellite/cable channels like ESPN and True visions and these two repeat games I'm sure??
There will be a 7 hour time difference during your travels so the Saturday 3pm games are shown at 10pm local time.
Bars etc will show the games. The premier league is VERY popular out here.
Happy travels
