Living in Srithanu, I can confirm not a lot of development here, just few more bungalows and shops. And the high tide daytime promote the beauty of its beaches.

Living in Koh Phangan, but I didn't know about this tragedy.

Here the news are kept well restricted and most of time you learn about them only accidentally

Maybe because I'm Italian, but I like most of the Russians here in Koh Phangan. I have probably a few affinities and quickly we talk together.

Maybe in my country we didn't have all that brainwashing propaganda about URSS and the dangers of communism a while ago....

Christmas to Songkran (Thai new year, 13 April 2014) is the Koh Phangan high season. During this period the island is almost full, but of course is always possible to find an accommodation. The first to be full are the nice bungalows, small houses, mostly rented on week/month base, the last to be full are the blooming dormitories with bunk beds and shared toilets. In the middle a lot of possibilities and locations. Of course the 5 days around the Full Moon Party the island will be again completely full booked and the bed prices skyrocket.

Otters in a stream here in Koh Phangan. Try to get a pic but without success.Maybe I'll get an automatic trail camera.

Wild deer, boars, I saw couple of times some unID small mammal. Slow Loris, I guess Pangolin (both in Samui and Phangan). A colony of Dusky Langur at Angthong Marine Park (main island).
