if you show that you are married, and the receiving account is on the name yours or your wifes, and you can show where the money came from (i.e. sale of house) there should be no problem at all. my friend just sent himself a large amount (millions) and had to pay only 1500bht for the transfer.

my office is in Koh Samui, i dont plan to leave thailand, just travel to Phuket. if i am not mistaken i cannot do the notification there.

If everything works fine now, I suspect your autobox oilcooler was full of dirt (or covered by a plastic bag) overheating auto. have a look. If you do much 150+ driving you may want a larger cooler or just one more same size. I did that on my fortuner 2005, one more original same size fitted at Toyota at 2-3.000 baht. If you chips your engine to 205hp/440Nm you must increase auto cooling. This engine comes with an improved 5 speed auto in Euro, but not here yet.

taxi prices will not change for a simple rule: it is impossible to implement the new law if you cannot check and control that it is not violated.

so unless there will be police checks every km in samui we will have:

-taxi not using the meters

-drunk driving

-driving without a license

-scooters drivers without helmets

-8 year old driving scooters

-etc.. etc..

so lets not dream about changes that will never happen!

use your mobiel as a modem and you pay 100b for 20 hrs or 360 bht for 100 hours, to be used in 1 month.

its much more stable than catcdma, i had it before and i hated it! im much more happy now

i heard that when the electricity resumes , after a blackout, the meters start running like crazy, so we might pay more for having used no electricity at all

at these prices im starting to think its better to save the money in the bank as precaution and pay if you have to go to the hospital..

the 120k for 3 persons is only for in-patient, if you want out patient too you have to add another 40-50k, depending on the age of the insured.
