  1. It would be much easier as we did in KSA a run to the border exit, stamp, and turn right round and re enter, no need to enter another country. Job done. No need to for other requirements, Thailand has updated their information. This could also be done at every immigration offices in the country. No charges and paperwork and location of all visitors updated. We wouldn't have to do it, if the financial requirements were not so hard.  Lived here 16 years and just cannot find the requirements any more, due  having a family to support. and the fact work has become harder to get, now I am over 60. The one golden light from the virus was no backpackers, have made employers re look at the over 60's and I have got a job with decent pay again! and can stay working in the country I have called home. Now I just want to do my visa run, and not fly out!

  2. Monkey lives matter! Next ban horse riding, we don't know how they are treated, and being forced to do something that has someone on the their back.! By the way the monkeys on the whole, are Loyal, very territorial great guard dogs! very strong, have expert coconut knowledge as to ripeness, very good at climbing, love travelling by truck, well fed and adapt to life of eating, sleeping and good exercise. Most owners care well for the monkeys. Most important human life is protected by not having young adults climb tall trees that could be fatal. The monkey has a job! the coconut grower has a job! and you get your coconut!

  3. Strange 15 years ago it was the government office that insisted that they would put my name on the house etc., as the legal married husband I bought these things in wedlock, stating that I have an equal share in everything, wife still thinks in 'cuckoo land' even through the senior told her and gave her the information in Black and white. But, then she is Thai, and the only threat I get is when she wins 6 million baht on lottery then she will give me half and go. I had to remind her that she gives me 3 million and divorced me then she will also have to give me half of her 3 million too. as I paid for the lottery tickets I am entitled to 50 percent then the divorce she will have to share 50 percent of everything else, plus she has to have my permission to divorce too! That gave her a headache!

  4. Has anybody else noticed what a fun site, it used to be bidding for an item some rubbish and some good items to be had at bargain prices? Now the algorithm's forcing Countdowns to continue plus worst than that, so called customers who appear on nearly every item (to name one: passo48) some who boast on FB that they have an automated system, and even if they win will not buy. Chilindo's response.."we will look into it!"  Also how annoying is it when certain people don't know how foolish it is not to check other sites, such as Lazada if they can get it cheaper, or what is a good price for an item! (including 10% plus postage and continue to bid!) Then going to the 'walking street market 'and seeing people with an amount of item purchased on the site trying to sell them at high prices. The site should come with a wealth warning!

  5. Never deal with DHL or Fed Ex unless the offer includes all taxes and duty paid. Kerry logistics seem to be much better and just as fast. Send via Ems or tracked postal services and put in Thai wife's name it will sale right through. Put in you own name that is the first flag! Friend ordered a large bag of PG tips from UK, the idiot sent it by DHL, they charged him 5000 baht customs and other related charges, in the end he managed to get 2500 baht refund for a bag of tea bags cost 2O pounds!, then cheeky DHL delivered to Phetchabun by freelance driver

it's bad enough that blacks get discriminated against by society.

What, who discriminates against them? They go out of their way to portray themselves as gangsters, etc., create an atmosphere of fear, kill each other. Now they call themselves the names we ain't allowed to use, verbally abuse women, promote rap songs on drugs, weapons and murder and then cry racism when the law reins them in. Back in the day when I was a teenager we mixed together, drank, danced, and sure we called each other names taking the mickey, just look at some of the TV programs and it was banter by both sides. But, we enjoyed each others company. USA/African culture then came to the UK, and everything has gone downhill since. They reap what they sow. I don't even know why he was in that situation in the first place, if he had committed a offence, and what created the point of him having to be manhandled in the first place?

  7. I printed out their confirmation that I do not have go to the border until 31st July to pop in and out on my multi entry O visa, unless I hear that the border is open before that date. my concern is that will the border open before? or should it be extended I await the confirmation. It would seem reasonable to allow me to go to my local immigration to have a 3 month renewal stamp put in at no extra charge, plus no lost of validity, that way border crossings would not be overwhelmed, and paperwork would be up to date. Still wishful thinking Eh?

  8. If Black American and their white sheet followers want change then perhaps they should join the police force, and see how their fellows act, when they are breaking the law and their actions when stopped for the acts. I don't condone the action of the Police officers and am sure they will pay for their parts in the death. Instead of filming the problem, perhaps intervention would have been more appropriate why was he arrested? and why was it necessary to be held, did attitude played a part in the action?

  9. In KSA no booze! but, you should see how much they charge for a fruit juice drink! They are such a happy bunch (not) living in their walled fortress homes. At least here your neighbors come to chat. You can breathe fresh air (at least not sucking tonnes of dust sand) eat fresh fruit and veggies. ( not radiated). Watch eye candy (not ninjas). and deal with half-witted locals (Not thousands of Indians trying to rip you off). And have beautiful green countyside to visit. (Not sand, building sites and more sand!). Still visit and you will forget what beer is?

  10. I suppose The quick answer would be Is there anybody in Phetchabun who is able and willing to exchange Thai baht cash for USD, I only want to exchange 1000 usd for ( I am willing to accept 31000 THB). My company will start paying direct bank deposits later this month.

  11. I return from working overseas with lovely brand new US dollars, went to the banks as it is time to top up bank account, and the bank refuse to take the money stating the central bank has stopped all foreign money exchanges. So my problem is have money can't use it? Does anyone know where I can't change US for Thai baht? I live in Phetchabun.

  12. This has got to be one of the stupidest decision made so far. The staff cannot wash their hands after handling the money. It has causes us a huge headache, from returning from work overseas we handed over some crisp US dollars to be told that they are not handling money!, The stupid woman told my wife to go to a gold shop! and wouldn't listen to the fact that we have had the account for 16 years and how were we to pay out bills.. Her English was so poor and when I asked to see the manager to arrange overdraft she was dumb and switch off thinking she was some kind of law enforcer. My wife was upset and ashamed by her. Pity the normal manager wasn't there! I do hope someone changes this stupid idea very soon!

  13. I would like to know, has this been done? In KSA when doing a visa run for 90 days, we went to the border, went out turn around without entering Bahrain ad back in. Seemed to satisfy Passport control? is that something that can be done here? If I travel to Laos. Exit Thailand and u-turn back into Thailand without crossing into Laos? I have a multi entry O Visa based on Marriage.

  14.  Agreed that there is more to this story, if the police accept this as an accident, but, he hasn't stressed who the police are blaming? If it is agreed that the old man stepped into the path of the motorbike, leaving the drive no options to avoid. then the fault is with the old man. then no fee, no charge and he should counter claim for any damage, injury or loss of earnings. if he was driving without basic insurance which covers injury and 3rd party lost. Then he was driving illegally and in fact should not have been there to be involved. so missing is several things ....insurance, and the need to be tagged guides us to that. as to go fund  for lawyer fees why? the amount is way to much for lawyer fees and an australian? suggest you go to court who can suggest a Thai lawyer (They are not all crooks!) sell the motorbike and offer the cash to the family, dealt with at the police station, but, then it sounds as if he has upset them as well?
