I'm looking for Thai style appartments that accept cats and have wifi.
Price range from about 4000-8000
Also needs to have a real kitchen or place to cook at least.
Any ideas? Not looking for Farang condo, because I cook with gaz.
Any recommendations welcome.

Actually there is still a lot of caffeine in an espresso, it's just that the portion is smaller!
Espresso, restaurant-style 1 oz. (30 mL) 47-75 mg
Brewed decaffeinated 8 oz. (237 mL) 2-12 mg
Need a place with decaf!

I can't handle caffeine but I like to take my laptop and do some browsing and have a coffee in the morning.
Is there a nice place that isn't too outrageous (like large hotels) where they serve decaf and have free wifi?
Thanks

Hi extension is used up, time to leave the country.

He is on a tourist visa that will expire in about 10 days.
So I guess going to Laos next visa run with the money in the bank and applying for non-o is enough?
Thanks

HI there,
I have a friend that is 50 with money in the bank (800 000 baht) but the money has only been transfered a week ago because of the new rules.
Can he get a retirement visa without the 3 months of money in the bank?
If not, how much for "key money" or for an agency to "arrange" this?
he has no monthly pension, just tons of money in the bank, but still an 'undesirable" I guess!
Cheers!

Are they open on Sundays? I'm heading out to Bang Chang for some afternoon beers from Pattaya
I see this post is quite old, if he isn't open are there any other western markets in Bang Chang these days?

Satearn foods will have food delivery 24 hours a day within the next few months, the selection will be limited at first, but it WILL be available 24 hours a day as long as distribution points are open all night and most of them will.
For now, only the catalog is online but they will be the only company offering 24 hour food delivery in Pattaya.

Wow! Thanks guys for all the information
The company in question is: (site under construction)
Still small company, but plan to grow it to the point of exporting products, so just trying to play it safe from the start as I will be building up the brand online and offline and would hate to have someone just snatch it away...
I own the domain and the incorporated Thai company, can I buy trademark from Thailand?
-
Thanks Lenny,
So let's say that my registered corporation in Thailand is called ABC Widgets that sells tooth picks in Thailand.
A company in Canada could NOT simply start a corporation called ABC Widgets and sell toothpicks in Canada? That would be a copyright name violation?
-
What I mean is....let's say I develop the brand in Thailand and export to other countries, this is a food company.
Could somebody simply copy the name and start a similar company with my name in foreign countries?
Or would I be protected by company name and brand copyrights internationally?
-
If I have a Thai corporation, will the name be respected around the world?
For example, if my company is ABC, can someone in the USA or Europe register ABC company?

The reason I was asking about the cost is that air con units CAN cost 3000 baht a month, I've seen it...
I didn't know it could be as low as 200-300 a month since people in Pattaya told me freezers could cost a fortune...
The wattage on the back of certain models wasn't clear or in Thai...
So now I bought it, and the compressor red light is on 24/7 and the sides are really hot, it seems like it never stop revving and the thing is still about 70% empty, is that normal?
Shouldn't the compressor stop and run like a thermostat or r-con unit?
Cheers!

Thanks Ignis for that reply, one thing I am realizing is NOT to buy something second hand? Seems like the repairs can be steep...
Another poster said 200-300 baht a month, is that for a large chest freezer or a small one?
I'm looking at 200 liters, about the size of small computer desk.
-
I want to buy a chest freezer but I can't get ANY kind of information or service from Makro...
They are just lined up there outside the store with no sales people, and the person I DID get to talk to after waiting 20 minutes didn't have a clue (not only because of the language barrier, they just have NO idea...!_)
Of course, typically, the website has NO specifications on anything...(http://www.sandenintercool.com/page.php?pid=12)...
I'm looking at either the Sanden 100 L. or the Sanden 200 L.
Not sure how to read the back but it varies between 106 and 117 watts, current rating, I could take a pic of the back if needed.
Any idea how much this will cost me per month on electric? I pay 7 baht per unit.
Cheers!

Driving from Pattaya to Arranya Prathet (Poipet)
Any bars, Karaokes or anything to do around the route?
Cheers!
-
Thanks,
So what about the Visa fees?
Chantanaburi is apparently 1300 baht, Poipet is $20 ( I had a buddy go there last week)
How much are Ban Laem and Palin fees? I will be travelling alone without an agency.
Additionally, for what time should I aim to hit the borders to reduce line ups?
-
Hi Unbujoe,
Thanks for the very quick advice. Actually I just noticed the chart under with cities that accept them.
For the scenic route, is Poipet ok versus Chantaburi, they seem to be about the same distance?
Are the line ups slower in poipet than Chantaburi?
Is it faster to get the e-visa or simply pay at the border?
-
I want to drive down to Cambodia for a visa run, I believe it's called something like this:
"Ban Laem, Chantaburi, Thailand/Daun Lem, Battambang"
Now the agencies tell me the cost for the Cambodian visa is 1400 baht....
But the government will sell me a visa for $25, 822 baht, an e-visa:
Will that e-visa work or will they try to extort more money out of me?
Will the e-visa reduce the line up?
How late in the evening can I cross back and forth?
-
Is is possible to get a non B from Cambodia?
THanks
-
I'm looking for a capillary probe thermostat and gaz selenoid switch.
Any idea where I can get this? Prefferably in Pattaya but if not in Bankok or some kind of website that would sell this?
Thanks

About the money in the bank...they turned me down for a double entry once, I had to have Thailand fax a copy of the bank book.
They said I needed 400 000 baht in the bank, first time this ever happened to me, but it is possible.
So if you have the money in the bank bring the photocopy for sure.

I heard this story that freelancers wear hats, usually white , is that true or just a rumor?
