Ghandi's acclaimed view was, "be the change you seek". Intelligent observation will achieve little, unless he can back it up.

I love sitting at the back of those old MD80's (Phuket to Don Mueng) between the Pratts and hearing them roar. It's the equivalent of hammering a pre-emission control Mustang.

Post no.5 is the key (you better be right Harry)

As you, yes you, read this, do you still think Biergarten is closing? If so, please return and read more. It seems people read the first post and immediately click on POST having missed the facts.

We all struggle with different stuff: looks! height! shyness! skin condition! willy size! confidence, memory etc.. Your weight is your primary life challenge. Meet it head on and never let it take over. Tackle it every day and keep on top. It's a battle and you must allocate enough resources for battle. Enough time, enough energy, enough money.
And to the first replying poster who's only words were, "There's a separate forum for fat people", I hope you suddenly develop 10 stone testicles.

Oh you poor poor people. Are the servants revolting?

I take medication to suppress my immune system due to Rheumatoid Arthritis and consequently mosquitos can seriously mess me up. So, slapping on the deet at dusk is unavoidable, I cant take chances. My regime is to use a Belgian (after all they conquered the Congo) product 'Jaico' mosquito repellant (295baht for 50ml) and ive never been bitten while wearing it. It contains 24% deet and is widely available in and out of Bangkok. Smells zesty, but slimey and dont get it on your nuts.
Once bitten, it's Eurax Hydrocortisone cream (from Superdrug in the UK) for immediate use and then 24hrs later when the itching kicks in, try Anthisan (Boots, UK). Always itch round the bite if you really have to, never itch the middle.

Thank Budda for the "Indiana Jones style" expedition, now everyone can go and help themselves

I got to the 57th post on this thread (Ben2203) before I found an intelligent response. The walk behind thing happened to me 5 years ago with Lisu g/f and her Mum on our first meet. G/f walked with me and Mum way behind. Then on second meeting, Mum wasnt there, but g/f walked way behind and wouldn't explain why. Well, because Mum had told her to I guess. She's never done it since. It honours an older or senior or better educated or wealthier person.

BMW M5 would still be intact, even with driver error

If the owner had shot hot sauce all over the g/f it would be easier to understand

Eva 'premium economy' is very nice, just avoid the middle seats, unless travelling with someone you can cuddle up to!

Could I get the number for the 'lady' in the low cut black dress, please

School - they say Serkoon. Cold - they say Colns.

Zeebrugge ferry disaster comes to mind. Orange coloured Townsend Thoreson ferries disappeared overnight and were replaced with blue P&O ferries, the parent company. Sweeping s**t under the carpet is a human traight, not solely Thai.

EVA Business class to BKK at night, coupled with EVA Premium economy lunchtime return to LHR, works well for me. I watch 3 movies and save £200.

I left my hand luggage on the back seat of a meter taxi as I got out at Survanabhumi once. Bangkok Airways kindly rang my mobile phone, which was in the lost bag, as a result the taxi driver brought the bag back to me about 40 minutes later and I tipped him 500 Baht. Fantastic I thought, sadly on closer inspection, my reading glasses were gone. However, I was delighted to get my passport back and have learnt my lesson (until the next time I do it).

Why did the victim not amount to much and why don't westerners amount to much in Thailand? I am at a critical point in deciding whether to come or go (to Thailand) and need answers to this.

My feelings are with all concerned. Flying into Kinshasa (DRC) on modern jets is scary enough.

So can you (cdnvic) or anyone else please give guidance about how to research the mysterious death of an American in Thailand?
-
I now know that **** took his own life after a period of hard times, but am keen to know more and be able to send a message to his family in the USA
Airmiss!

Last Wednesday lunchtime, I left Bkk onboard BR67 and had just about survived the pain of 12 hours in a rock hard aircraft seat, only to have my EVA 777 almost 'arse-ended' at 10,000ft, by a Thai Airways 747, while we were both doing loop the loop for 40 minutes waiting to land at rush hour Heathrow. You can imagine my surprise to see the big jumbo looming at the rear of our starboard wing and filling my window. It may have been 300 or 400 metres away, hard to tell, but surely an 'air miss'. I looked round my cabin and mine was the only window open, but someone in another cabin must have seen it. Should I report it? Been too busy until now.
