  1. My question is; how did these people know about the watches? Facebook post, daughter showing all her friends, etc My wife has a few friends that like to show off their possessions, pretty sure it'll come back to bite them some day.
  2. 67 now, approx 5475 days to go! Live life like it's your last day.........because it might be!
  3. The term "paper tiger" comes to mind. But saying that, economically they're dominating.
  4. Maybe SHE'S still going to buy a 2 million baht house......just not with her current tirak. 55555 stranger things have happened in the Land of Smiles!
  5. C' mon people, 181%-3680 %?! Get real! If something sounds too good to be true.....it probably is! Greed at work here I'll just stick with my 13% avg over 30+ years.
  6. Pretty sure the first 90 day report after returning has to be in person, after that online works. That's my experience anyway.
  7. Yes, thousands of times!
  8. Uhhhhh, probably not better sex after your mia luang cuts your dick off after finding out about your mia noi. I'll stick to boring sex instead of, no sex because of lack of genitalia.
  9. Generally speaking the sentence is halved for good behavior, brown envelopes must have been flying hot and heavy for this to get reduced so much, or maybe he was just "extra good" in prison. 555!
  10. Hit the nail on the head! Possibly higher ups family members producing the s**t work and constantly getting contracts to fix THEIR s**t work! Goes round and round and round and keeps the money in the family.
  11. Just an observation on a couple of Pattaya streets. Heading west on Siam Country Club road from the railroad tracks to Sukhumvit; it was recently refinished with new asphalt and drains. At first they paved over all the drains then came back later, cut out the drain openings, and installed gratings over them, I thought for sure it would end up like most streets here with drains, the drain openings acting as speed bumps. I was pleasantly surprised after all was done, the road is amazingly flat and all the drains sit at the right height! I've been here 30+ years and this is the best road repair I've ever come across! If any one from city hall is reading this, get the company that performed this repair to do all future road works in Pattaya! Maybe they could start with the section of north bound Sukhumvit from north road to Naklua, around Bangkok hospital Pattaya, the right two lanes are amazing.......in a bad way, it's like being on a bad rollercoaster. They were fixed at least two times and maybe three, but still have major issues! I'm not in road construction and I could do a better job just by eyeballing it! Anyway, just a little rant--and a compliment, to the crew that did those excellent repairs on Siam Country Club. Keep your head on a swivel and stay safe out there!
  12. Based on history, looks like this case will go on until Boss is deceased. His family's wealth can drag this out for eternity.
  13. Just curious when renewing, how many days/weeks before expiration can you renew? And also, is there a grace period going over the expiration date? Thanks in advance
  14. The Shinawatra family just doesn't learn. I guess when they the whole family ends up ousted from Thailand and living in Dubai they might realize what happened. Ever since Thaksin fled to there I wondered; why don't you and your family just take your multi billions of $$$'s and live your live peacefully away from politics? I guess power is addictive, once you have a taste of it it's hard to let go.
  15. I've used both and used to be happy with both until my last Windows based computer started having the blue screen of death after only three months of operation--it still runs today but at a slower speed than when new. My last Mac ran and ran and ran but started getting slower after about 15 years, plus no support and many programs wouldn't work with the OS because of age. It still runs today but slower, similar problem to Windows but didn't crap out after three months. After my current Windows machine dies--which we all know it will, I'm going back to a Mac.
  16. When/if he's found guilty he needs to be put away forever, people that commit this heinous a crime will never fit back into society and will always be a danger. I would say put him to death but that riles people up too much. IMO I think he deserves it.
  17. You'd think they would have stopped the nickel (five cent piece), production, it cost approx 13-14 cents to produce. Easy to see why the US govt is 38 trillion--and climbing, in debt.
  18. Don't worry the Chinese will be more than happy to help out.........with interest, if you know what I mean, Sihanoukville Cambodia comes to mind, being one example in a long list of many. 55555
  19. Most, if not all accumulator tanks I've seen do not have any way to bleed the tank. They have a rubber bladder inside the tank and a schrader valve on the bladder side that allows it to be pressured up. When you first get the accumulator there's either no pressure on the bladder and it needs to be pressurized, or it already has pressure on it, probably the latter. When pressurized the bladder is taking up all the space in the tank, then as water pressure in your system overcomes the bladder pressure it fills with water, there shouldn't be any air in the water system side of the tank. Something similar to the attached file but not exactly, no poppet valve in the bottom. Those are hydraulic accumulators, just an example. I have seen accumulators made with large diameter PVC with no bladder, the problem is you take a chance on air getting into the system because of no bladder separating the two mediums.
  20. I remember years ago when the Chinese built this port concerns were raised about the Chinese using them for their navy. The Chinese denied this of course back then------and now here we are. Of course it's just a friendly visit, yeah, just like the friendly non-military visits to the Spratly islands and all the other islands they occupy in the South China sea that they've militarized over time.
  21. Luckily it's only 25%, most venues charge double for farangs! Guess Pattaya BKK hospital feels sorry for us.....5555 sarcasm
  22. I think a lot of voters in a lot of countries feel this way not just Thailand. IMHO people are tired of all the same rhetoric coming out of politicians mouths and no action. And then there's finger pointing/blame game at the opposition, and also the corruption side of things that goes on everywhere.....but we won't go there.
