Unruly British man goes berserk on Bangkok-London flight (video)
ross163103 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Banned for life from all airlines, compensation to passengers/airline for any and all delays or missed flights--and yes, including the extra fuel used. This BS has got to stop, people need to be taught how to behave out in society, obviously this guy wasn't taught much as a child. Once the bans start people will realize there are consequences to their actions and planes will be a safer and more enjoyable environment. -
No EM Ankle Bracelet For ‘Untouchable’ Thaksin
ross163103 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Was there ever any doubt he wouldn't have an ankle bracelet, be serious! I agree with bokningar; this is one of the many reasons Thailand can never move up on the world stage, hard to take them serious with blantant/rampant corruption going on! -
Shouldn't the headline read, "Thaksin to walk free from the hospital on Sunday"?

Promising news on a new Dengue vaccine
ross163103 replied to GroveHillWanderer's topic in Health and Medicine
It's just the way it is, but I wonder why it's not for individuals 60+ and why it won't work for those previously infected. I'm above sixty and have had dengue once and obviously don't want to get it again. I keep reading these articles hoping they come up with a vaccine which will work for ALL cases. -
Thai abbot allegedly rapes 7 year old girl, police ignore case
ross163103 replied to webfact's topic in Central Thailand News
I thought that also. Now days I see more and more of them with lots of material posessions, kind of getting away from the original idea. -
Thai abbot allegedly rapes 7 year old girl, police ignore case
ross163103 replied to webfact's topic in Central Thailand News
After 30+ years living here and hearing more and more cases like this I'm losing respect for monks. Many cases of this type behavior from them under the cloak of religion. I know all monks are not like this but seems to be more and more each day. Don't take a vow of celibacy if you know you can't do it, I know I couldn't......one of the reasons I'm not a monk. -
Uh oh! Huge brown envelopes will need to be distributed now!!

My thoughts exactly! I was just by there today--Saturday the 3rd, and nothing was going on, no workers, no nothing. I guess the powers that be in Pattaya never use this intersection, or North Rd outbound, for that matter. As cheap as labor is here, throw more personnel on to the job and like you say, 24 hrs a day! It's different if it's some BS side street, but this is MAJOR thoroughfare. TIT

Thai Airways sues over passenger’s flight diversion criticism
ross163103 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Thai airways losing face, big problem with this in Thailand--and Asia in general. -
Whoa, whoa, whoa, don't tell people that, then it'll be the same--or worse, out here! Like all those people who say, "I've found a secret place that's got very few visitors, here's how to get to it" Oooops

Foreign man caught damaging police wheel clamp
ross163103 replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
Lucky it was only around the wheel; one time my wheel was just barely in the red zone and came out to find a large chain wrapped all the way over my bike, wheel and seat both, along with several other bikes. The ticket was under the chain, once paid, an officer came and unchained the bike. Luckily my bike wasn't that new so not a big deal. -

Pattaya’s traffic nightmare: Deputy mayor tackles commute delays
ross163103 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Exactly the point! Then the brown envelopes for future contracts will just keep coming and coming; if they fix the problems..........no more brown envelopes! -
British man dies in failed parachute jump from Pattaya condo
ross163103 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
RIP, but basically you lost your life chasing content, followers, and "likes"......hmmmmm. Too late now but maybe you should've revaulated your life choices BEFORE jumping. -
Pattaya’s traffic nightmare: Deputy mayor tackles commute delays
ross163103 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Sorry, but I don't see how his "mission" would bring any relief! In fact it probably added to the chaos as I'm sure him and his entourage came in many vehicles that added to the problem. If you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem. -
What documents are required at jomtiem ?
ross163103 replied to Finspin's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I feel your pain, the Asean Now search engine just isn't that good! I feel bad when asking a question that I know I've seen before but can't find, oh well. -
No help, but I remember this also. A lot of people think a Thai can get the money out of an account that's not in their name because of a will, but they can't. Maybe a lawyer can get it for them but I know what you're talking about, hopefully a poster can enlighten us both on what it is. As proton mentioned in a previous post; joint signatory maybe?

RIP to this man. As far as bee stings; I've gotten apitherapy before for arthritis in my fingers, worked well but not the most pleasant experience. Arm was swollen clear up to my shoulder after one ten sting session. Plus it was incredibly itchy for about twenty four hours, a deep, deep itch that you couldn't get too. Would I do it over again(?), yes because I couldn't hardly bend my fingers in the mornings before the treatments.
