  1. Before anyone gets all excited about this do yourself a favor and google Sinovac and AZ and read up on them. Those vaccines are not as effective as the 3 currently being used in America; After doing extensive reading on this I'm going to wait and get it in a private hospital late summer or early fall. The Hospital that I'm going to use already has my name and information.

  2. Let ne add ti this since I started it, My intent was for information to only those who use the Uthai Thani  province i immigration office. Not announce any new rules ,etc.. IOs can ask for whatever they need to prove income  and other items like place of residence. The IO at Uthai Thani wants to see a bank book that is up to them.  The province is large and some have to travel a long way on back roads to get to IO which is located close to the Nakon Sawan province border. It's even located several K from the city of Uthai Thani. It's a 40 minute drive from where I live. If someone had to go back and get a bankbook it could ruin someone's day.

  3. Intuit Turbo Real Money Talk Community  after reading comments of this site it seems while some  refunds can be identify theft verifications but most state they claimed a credit for the stimulus checks on line 30 on the return and IRS needs time to verify. But someone at Turbo Tax says it is backlog in processing returns. This is caused by stopping work on them to process stimulus checks.  Some who called IRS were told could take up to 10 weeks for a refund.

  4. This may help someone who uses that IO. Did my retirement  extension yesterday using the income method and it only took 28 minutes. Took four hours to get the bank letters.  From the bank I had two letters, one showing ownership and current balance and the other listing monthly FTT deposits for 12 months each exceeding the required 65,000 THB but something  new this year, they wanted a copy for my bank book for the last 12 months, which I had and was told to bring it with me whenever  I cone to the IO like 90 day reports. Not a big deal but glad I had it in my stack of papers.

  5. From a Facebook private group

    tax NEWS:
The IRS extended the tax deadline to May 17as they deal with a backlog of millions of tax returns from individuals and businesses for the 2019 tax year.
Last weeks stimulus package resulted in a large amount of extra paperwork and required tax preparers to update their systems. The IRS is grappling with staffing and outdated IT systems at a time when it’s also implementing sweeping tax code changes from the COVID-19 relief packages.
The latest $1.9 trillion stimulus package creates a new tax break for millions of workers who received unemployment benefits last year after businesses were forced to close and lay them off during the coronavirus pandemic.

    Is this being discussed elsewhere?

OK, along with many others I did not qualify for the 1st $1,200 stimulus check as my wife has and ITIN.

I did receive the second $600 check via direct deposit to my US bank account right around the same time (most?) everyone else did..

I filed my 2020 tax return (married/jointly) on the first day IRS was accepting them, utilizing TurboTax. Anyway, TurboTax indicated I'd get a refund of $1200 plus the regular refund I was owed on or before March 5th.

Hey, it's not a big deal, just curious. If other folks in my same situation HAVE received their refunds I'd like to know that. Get me working on what I what I might'a done wrong or at least find a place to hide if the the IRS is coming to take me away. haha.

PS. I've been checking the IRS "refund status" web page. It's indicated they have my return, but still processing.

Have the same thing and used turbotax. Been processing for awhile now.

That is simply not true. The hassle with using money in the bank method is down to few rogue offices requiring folk to return back to office 3 months later.

When I apply for annual extension at CW, I obtain bank letter at banks lower level and present that along with photocopies of last 12 month transactions. That's it. Walk in the park. Don't be confused by few random rogue offices.

In my case it is true and you will see more IO will be doing what the OP experience.

  9. I was going to switch to the money in the bank method but it's turning out the income method is easier as IO try to nail the cheaters using the money in the bank method.  Income method only requires a trip to the bank and you are done with it . Did it that way last year and it was easy except for the wait at he bank to get the two letters and credit advice statements. The hassle with money in the bank is caused by those who use agents who fund or lend you the money.
