Lot of effort fir a bogus guess work study. I retired in Thailand 10 years ago first 8 years in Bangkok and now 225 K north and spent way over what they say. Hell went over that this year. You buy a decent house, bought two cars during the 10 years plus more but I have lived nice here and have great medical insurance for me and the wife. They only way I stay here is I have great retirement income. 

A US re-mailing service who gives a mailing address may help. I use one and so far had no problems.

Starting and it increases based on age up to 900 baht.  which is nothing and that is why family members have to use large sums of money to support retired family members.  If they can't then they live dirt poor.

If you have a Thai ISP you will have to fill out the verification text thing but if you VPN from a place like Singapore you only need password and the verification code sent by email or sms.

I use a re-mail service in the U.S. have bank cards sent there then forward to me by FedEx or DHL. feet the cards  in less than a week .

Last year arrived on 5 Feb and this year got it on the 5th Feb. Slow mail but at lest consistent.

Give me a break the damn place is a short commute to Washington DC.

I can use DHL, UPS, FedEx or US postal.  The first three are always cheaper than US postal If I use tracking.  I use US Global out of Houston Tx for this service.  Mail Forwarding & Virtual Mailbox Service (usglobalmail.com)

I've given up on USPS and Thai post a long time ago when it comes to important mail. They are unreliable plus the fact some banks and others won't mail to Thailand. So I use a re-mail service in America have mail sent there and I picked how it comes to Thailand.

Sounds like the Trump Election season plan for USPS is working to a tee!!!

 

It was messed up long before that. And now the over load of blue states doing mass ballot mail has only made it worse.

My ballot was e-mailed to me from Texas early Sept but had to mail it back. Sent  it EMS,a508nd 40 baht to the ACS voting officer and all is good. easy and painless. Had to vote this time because just too D,,n important.
