Opening a new account will likely need a residence certificate, so another trip to the big city to visit immigration, and I'd still be wasting a whole day getting two bank letters and two statements for next extension. All this so I can get a little more interest, and claim a tax refund? I probably won't bother. The extra interest earned and the tax refund isn't worth the trouble.
You just need to show the transfer from one account to another. ... No need for 2 letter's and statements.
In five years time you could have earnt at least 60000baht in interest... Maybe more who knows. Well worth one day of running around jumping hurdles imo...... "Up to You"

Then talk to the manager. And if that doesn't work, to the headquarter. They have to do it. If the employee does not know it he should admit it and not give you a false information. Such people drive me crazy. They can cause a lot of damage.
Too right... You have to stand your ground, and get them to phone there "Head Office" as most in Branch staff have no clue how to do it... Fair enough I have no problem with them not knowing.... Just don't fob me off with "Can Not"

Pattaya CC latest offering looks pretty reasonable imho.
Of Interest to me is the 1 year Weekday Membership 35000baht.
Caddie Fee compulsory 380baht
Cart (not compulsory) 600baht
There is No Green Fee
Only exclusions are Public Holidays when different rates will be applied.
"High Season" the above quoted rates apply..
So for me 380baht plus caddie tip is all that I need to pay to play there for a Full Calendar year.

I've done it before when the interest rate was higher, and when I lived a couple blocks from the tax office and my bank.
Now I've moved out to the provinces, and it generally takes 3-4 hours to reach the lone customer service desk at my bank branch. Then would have to drive an hour to the big city to find a tax office to wait in line a couple hours to file a claim.
For what? My 800K earns me the princely sum of 4000 baht at 0.5% interest. The 15% tax amounts to 600 baht.............about $17.
Maybe change your bank? Scb pays 1.5% =12000baht per annum......almost all other Banks are paying just over 1% so double your "4000baht"....this is the land of "up to you" ????

Do you do Wise transfers into your SCB account and are they coded as FTT ( foreign transfers) One post said that no they come as domestic transfers.
I do Wise transfers but not for immigration purposes,so i do not state that as a reason for the transfer...which may or may not result in the proper coding.

I went to Kasikorn yesterday. They said they could do the letter, did not know if it would be same day however the only branch that could do that was in Pattaya Klang. That is a 1 hour round trip for me. If it was not done the same day it would be two trips. I found SCB does everything including the letter same day. Can get 6 month, 1 year, 18 month, 2 year statement etc all same day and the same with the letter and any branch of SCB. So guess where my deposits go from now on.
SCB Good decision imo...plus they have a big branch office on Jomtien beach road (staffed pretty much clued up on all immigration matters)under 2kms from Immigration opens 8.30 to 15.30 Mon To Fri ...so any disasters at Immigration hop on a baht bus there back (like i did in December) in under 30 mins (no point in moving me parked motor for the sake of 20baht.

Scb for me (i also ditched Bangkok Bank) i tried Kasikornbank in Pattaya Klang Big C armed with loads of docs including Yellow Book and Pink ID card but counter girl insisted on Residence letter from Immigration..walked 90 yards to Scb who didn,t require that. Very happy with service and there app.

Went to SCB in Central Festival last week asked if I could have my Tax ID entered on all 3 accounts....took about 20mins as girl (Back left counter) was walked through what to do by someone on the phone (Head Office?). She then said (being very pleased with herself) that that was the 1st time in 7 years that she had been asked and completed doing that.
Today on my app it showed interest received yesterday on all 3 accounts with No Tax deducted ????

But mine did, and so they promptly issued my license. In fact, I didn't even have to take the colorblind or the braking test. How good is that?
If yours counted for nowt, then perhaps you'd better pay closer attention to your personal hygiene. I think this may lie at the heart of the many problems reported by our members regarding customer service in Thailand.
Nice comment.

Lighten up. Personally, I wouldn't worry. How many times have you been stopped? If you are, would they run your DL thru a computer? No. Would the computer show any "restriction?" Probably not. Would you be arrested? Absurd. You can drive without a license and be fined B200 according to this.
Reminds me of posters who insist they have to carry their passports at all times and cite Authority. Or those who always go back to Immigration 90-days after their extensions to present their bankbooks, 'cause they got a paper telling them to.
Maybe I just like to live dangerously. Up 2 U.
Thankfully I don't have to worry as I can drive where ever I want courtesy of the resident certificate I provided, as both my yellow book and Pink card counted for nowt at Pattaya DLT....

The fine print on the back of the DL gives the issuing office and says nothing about any such restriction and "the holder used a yellow book." In my case, though, I never drive outside of Chonburi anyway. Why would anyone wish to????? That's what Bolt, buses, vans, and planes are for.
I dont fly or use Bolt to go to the Wife,s village in Chaiyaphum..2 or 3 times a year...or to play golf in Rayong or Bangkok.
-
Using your Pink card at Pattaya DLT (instead of obtaining a Residence Certificate)will result in you not being allowed to drive outside the province of Chonburi.....as told to me 1st hand in August this year....maybe check the small print on the back of your DL?

Thank you and please thank your friend for me also.
After going in circles I eventually managed to find it.
The first shot is where it is and the second makes it a bit clearer.
It supposedly is 1 Gbps though for some reason it does not reach that speed, probably as the Ethernet device in the pc needs a hardware upgrade.
As I am on the 3BB network I would tend to assume that that would be the path they use, certainly down to Bangkok. Which path it takes from the to the URLs is anybody's guess.
Well done on finding that. You could have an Ethernet issue with your Pc or could be a bad or broken port on the router. I notice that your Ethernet 10 says 2.4 ghz... mine says 5g (maybe another difference) in speed?
I had problems with my internet speed last week would not go above 150mps called 3bb (Darkside Pattaya) they came round a day later no difference on there equipment, went off came back with a new router..still no good, off they went again, rang me 2 hours later saying the problem was at there end...they fixed it whatever it was so no need for a new router.

I am still learning myself......i will ask a mate to see if he knows where you might be able to find the lan port capacity on your laptop.
He says click on icon bottom of your screen (looks like a tv) that opens up "Network & Internet Settings" click on it.. then menu (maybe on left hand side) click on Ethernet..then click on "Change adapter settings" then that should bring up Ethernet and Wifi .....right click on the Ethernet then click on Status where your speed will be revealed....either 100mps or 1gb.
I am told that Ookla is the best for providing an accurate speedtest?
Lan cable Cat 8 from Ugreen (lazada).....ditto
Hdmi cable 4k or 8k Ugreen (lazada).....ditto
Hope the above is helpful.

Thank you Keith
I didn't know that so thank you again.
Go to "Network & Internet" on your settings then "View hardware and connection properties" and look at... Link Speed (Receive/Transmit): 1000/1000(mbps)
I have gone to "Network & Internet" on settings but I cannot find "View hardware and connection properties".
I have rooted around in Device manager and found
