It's not common, i've been here 23 years and drive on average 3-4000kms per month, i've never witnessed it.

Barcelona Valley Golf complex Bang Chang district it is a regular occurrence...nice new dual carriageway....turn left and make a proper u turn after 1.5 kms...nah not Thai,s... turn right then a km later cross over two lanes of traffic into the fast lane ...what can go wrong?🤔

Meronk is the best DP World have got, so another big loss, I don't bother watching it anymore unless a LIV player is in it

Your Liv Team golf has possibly 8 players that are worth watching and that,s it...but being a team game format you cant do that...seeing as there all on the course at the same time.

I am not a fan and never will be...and watching it "live".....nahh.

Is that a poster from "Clockwork Orange"??

So 2 decent golfers plus 2 nobodies..as said i wont miss Hatton or Rahm yelling .uck on the Tbox when a drive goes wrong, and Meronk getting the hump for not being selected in a "winning"Ryder Cup team ...still Liv is all about Team golf so he gets his wish.

Apologies if someone has mentioned this before.

Whilst searching for a metal basher today I came across what to me is a new golf shop although apparently has been there a while. My excuse is at ground level it is very easy to miss it especially if cars are parked in front. It does have a

largish sign covering the upper half of the building but I didn't notice that until I was leaving.

Has product on 2 floors but what was interesting was he has used a separate space at the back of the shop and split it between a reasonable sized artificial putting green and a hitting area with a Trackman monitor set up.

Location on Sukhumvit south bound a couple of hundred metres past the Pattaya Tai lights - opposite the new Go place and a little further up.

No such luck for me in Phuket,  also still about 1.7 million  sat n that EZ account getting 1.5% but although i have a tax id , SCB were paying interest every 6 months,  June and December they are stopping the 15% tax again after telling me in August they won't.  Now they have since October started paying the interest every month with no tax deducted   but in December decided to not pay me any interest instead they took the tax out . I have been back to the bank to find out why but to date they can not give me an answer,  i have received 3 calls from the call center about but still no explanation,  still ongoing

Maybe if you had 1.7mill earning interest of 1.5% that would take you above the 20,000baht you can earn in interest before being Taxed?

The best place to put tge money us in a Krungsri Mai Thai Dee account it pays just 1%.

If you listen to the other posters in here that tell you to use a SCB EZ account then its bad advice.

The EZ account does pay 1.5%  , i used it 2 years ago and my Visa extension was not renewed and caused me to have to leave the country and enter again snd restart the process.

The reason being , the SCB EZ account does not come with a bank book which Immagration insisted on me giving them copys of . I went backward and forward to the bank and immigration several times but could not sort out this issue.  Also the with SCB EZ account , you can not get a printout of a combined 12 month bank statement . The statements are issued month by month so i had to print out 12 seperate monthly statement which  Imagration again rejected.

Mine has been in the EZ account paying 1.5% interest with no tax deducted and i have used that account for my last 2 retirement extensions at Jomtien immigration and SCB print off a 1 year statement.

If you are the same Brick Top as in "Snatch"...then i could see a problem:sleep:..and no ...i don't wont my "Jacobs" cut off.

so I went in with passport, current account passbook, bank card, rental agreement

    nope... not enough

    need a certificate of residence...

I asked, are you joking ? I am not a new customer, even brought my name on Krungsri paper with net credit card still attached for the occasion...

    new rules sir ... blabla...

they called somewhere... answer still no...

Depends how easy it is for you to get about, and Banks that are near you. I would have to try and open another account somewhere else first them give them the elbow..Bangkok Bank Fixed Account (Orange Book) was paying 1.6% when i updated my book (19 Oct)  Scb ez account is paying 1.5%.....Good luck with whatever you decide.

How do you think that happened? Did you, your employer or agency forget to ask if you already had a yellow book or pink ID card when sorting out your job, or did you fail to mention it to the local revenue office? I would assume it's very easy for 'duplicate' ID's to be issued when there's no sharing of databases, and the RD haven't bothered with this regulation for many years already.

Yellow book first (2018)..one year later(2019)claimed for rebate for withheld Tax on interest then(2020) got Pink Id card. To be honest i would say that the RD had never seen a Farang before and the whole process of registering for the Tax id number was not Painless,i gave them more than enough paperwok, copies of 3 different bank accounts, Passport, Yellow Tabien Baan etc .Hence it took nearly 5 months to get the Tax back and 3 more visits to RD department (every 90 days)..the next 2 years easy peasy done and dusted in under 6 weeks.

Now no more visits to RD as Tax is no longer being withheld.

If you have a pink ID-card, then that number will be your tax ID. If your country have a tax treaty with Thailand to avoid double tax, my guess is you then can pay tax to Thailand and get refund from your home country.

My home country have a tax treaty with Thailand. That treaty say you should pay tax to Thailand for pension transfered to Thailand if you stay in Thailand for 180 days or more during a tax year. Personally I save a lot by pay tax to Thailand do to higher tax rates in my home country.

I have a Pink ID card and that number is not the same as my Tax number..both have 13 digits and that is where the similarity ends.

Long story short, I needed a Thai Tax Identification Number (TIN) for my UK bank so as I'd jumped through the hoops to get one I thought I might as well file a return to reclaim withheld interest on my bank accounts for 2021/2022.

Absolute joke of a process where I had to photocopy every page of my passport & every page of my Bank Books, then complete a form about my pension income where every answer was Not Applicable (I don't receive a Pension).

They then asked for photo copies of every statement from my Non-Thai Bank Accounts (I have 3 in the UK & 1 in Singapore) to which I replied that I'd had 1 of these accounts since I was 7 (50 years) & another since I was 18 (39 years) so it would be impossible to get every statement from these accounts & what did they really need.  They seemed to give up at this point & say they had everything they needed & would be in touch if they needed anything else, 6 months later I still haven't received the money back & so have also gave up.

Nobody in the Department (Chonburi Office across Jomtien 2nd road from Immigration) seemed to speak English so I cannot see how they can cope with a massive increase in English speaking foreigners filing tax returns neither mind other nationalities.

Even if we have everything converted to Thai for them, how are they going to cope when people go in to ask questions/seek clarification.

I had that experience with that same office 4years ago and went in there every 90 days (while Reporting) to find out where is "my withheld Tax Rebate"  (no reply).....on the 3rd occasion i was sent to the 2nd floor, filled out a form,(sorry cant remember what)and 4 weeks later a check/payment receipt arrived in the post.

Haven,t been back there for 2 years now as Tax is no longer being witheld.

Thanks for that. At least I know it is just not me - and I agree about the extra payments at stores as well!

Just tried your method and unfortunately got "Ünable to proceed. Cannot decode this barcode/QR code" Maybe my camera is no good........:annoyed:

How did you think to try that method?

It comes from buying from Makro on line..i have to take a screen shot of there QR Code (which goes to my gallery) then go from there on the SCB app.

  16. I have had the same problem in the past and in the end left the paying of that particular bill to the wife ..who pays via line and there website? I went to 3 different branches of Scb and all of them had no answers i even went to the Water authority (while passing)...might as well have talked to a brick wall. Personally i begrudge paying 10baht to CP foods to pay any bill  (so i dont)l...money grabbing barstewards.

Wife has recently flown off to Ireland so i had to pay the Water bill this week and it Worked...because this time i took a photo of the Bar Code (saved to gallery)clicked on Scan bill/QR payment on Scb app and selected photo from gallery and it opened up the payment straight away and i paid whooo hoo! I did have several attempts at the old way of trying trying to scan the bill but that did not work (as in the message in your op)..but this new of paying did work:clap2:
