Bangkok Residents Encouraged to Separate Waste For Recycling
bangon04 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
"The Bangkok governor also emphasized the importance of dispelling the narrative that the BMA dumped its waste in one location, which made residents reluctant to separate waste for reuse and recycling." "dispelling the narrative" does that mean lying about it? -
"Keeping our labor force highly attractive for local and international employers is one means for the Marcos administration’s economic transformation to succeed." It certainly worked for the earlier Marcos administration in the 70s. He invented OFW for the carabao. It certainly reduced the need to provide quality employment within the borders.....

bangon04 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
"A statement read “Tourists face higher travel costs, particularly from inflation and airfares, which have increased by 20-40%. The TAT is working with airlines, both scheduled and chartered services, to roll out joint promotions to help offset those costs. However, for Europe’s summer season in August, it might be too late to prepare any stimulus packages.”" No problem - the Thai government only wants rich tourists anyway... they said so on many occasions. -

"According to the decision today, unused and redundant overhead cables, covering 800km, will be removed. The work will be undertaken by the telecom service providers, who own the cables at their own cost." What a brilliant idea. I wonder why this was not a rule before now? Anyone guess why? -

bangon04 replied to ASEAN NOW News's topic in Philippines General Chat
maybe he doesn't need to worry about the economy - all he has to do is follow his father's example and send all the peasants overseas as slave labour to increase the remittances. -
