Guess what Donald...she IS a woman. Of course, she will play it where she can. You are just jealous you don't have some card you can play, except being an A-hole.

Japan has always been xenophobic. Sometimes I wish we could be a bit stronger in our immigration restrictions.
-
I used it for the first time yesterday morning at about 8:30. Traffic was very light so not a problem. My impression remains this is now a much worse situation than existed before. An equal puzzle is trying to get to Immigration from southbound on third road in Jomthien - better to go to Beach Road and come in that way. Who the hell is doing the planning?
Yep, I have also been using beach road for immigration for the last couple of times now that all ways to make a U-Turn on 3rd have been removed without driving 3-4Kilo. These people that make these decisions need to be made to drive it for 6 months as punishment.

Another bites the dust, another bites the dust
Another one gone, another one gone
Another bites the dust, another bites the dust

"...the charter drafters had taken into account all ideas collected from various parties, including opinions of the people compiled during the CDC’s trips to many provinces..."
...and summarily dismissed them.
-
"...THE Public Health Ministry has denied that it is planning to scrap or drastically change the universal healthcare scheme..."
The more they deny it, the easier it is to believe something bad for the poor people is in the works.
-
"...Widespread land reclamation and environmental degradation enabled by govt programmes and complicit army authorities..."
I love it. That says it all -- big government ruining the livelihoods and lives of the poor. They do it because they can.
-
Ah, why bother? This article makes way too much sense for those in charge to grasp it. Everything these days to "the powers that be" is a threat to them, which they label as a threat to National Security.

"...Computer crime law interpreted broadly..."
How about, "Computer crime law interpreted anyway the government wants".

“Diplomacy is a great business,”

How about, "Diplomacy is the most polished BS in the world”

"...She asked the organizer for a refund which was refused and she was told to re-sell her plot instead..."
So incredibly typical in this country. Money and greed #1. I hope she at least gets her money back.

Who knows if the intended person to be shot deserved deadly force, but the fact a mother of 5 was shot accidentally indicates very poor training to me. I heard on the dispatch the kid just had a bat. A well trained cop should be able to take out a kid with a bat without using a gun and if they are not training them to do that then they should. Whatever happened to tasers?
Yes, there are still a lot of facts missing here, so right now I'm just musing.

Shear lunacy.

"...The decision was based on evidence..."
What evidence do they mean? Do they mean the missing evidence that was never collected. Do they mean the mis-handled evidence, the shoddily documented evidence? Do they mean the evidence withheld from the defense? Or do they mean the evidence that could not be collected off the hoe, but the CIFS chief, Dr Pornthip Rojanasunand, said there was sufficient DNA to test and they did and it was not a match to the defendants?
Do they mean THAT evidence? Yeah, OK

"We work based on the principle of transparency and fairness," he said.
Actually, there was almost NO transparency given that reporters could not bring any recording devices into the court room and if I remember right, they could not even take notes. That is the opposite of transparency. This case was biased from the very start.

Personally I go further South, and do the U turn at the lights.
Yes, absolutely that is the safest way to go if you are going to Makro or Underwater World, but come on...!!!
That is no excuse whatsoever for piss poor planning and design. As I watched these new U-Turns being constructed I thought to myself, this is going to be a real bitch now to try and get to the Makro entrance. Makro and Underwater World were the biggest reasons to have a U-Turn in this area and they have now turned it into an accident and possible death trap. Not only that, the turn lanes they have created look just big enough to fit a golf cart, though I haven't actually tried it yet, however I probably won't be using it.
Good going Pattaya city planners. Do you people actually have degrees in planning and engineering?

I hope there is a lot of followup on this one. Heck, right now there is virtually no information at all. They won't even say the race of the cop, which, of course, everyone wants to know.
You don't show up to a "domestic argument" alone. Was he alone or did he have a partner with him?

"...accusing her of having deep prejudice against China and having hurt the feelings of the Chinese people..."
I just love how repressive governments like to speak for all the people in their country. This, of course, is something easy to do when the people in the country are not actually allowed to speak their minds so we don't REALLY know how they feel. Humm, where have I seen this recently?
-
"...Today this kind of arrogant behaviour..."
Seems like the only "arrogant behavior" these days is coming from the NCPO. Pheu Thai didn't say what they said in a vacuum. The government almost certainly prompted that remark by something they announced. I guess the NCPO just isn't being clear enough when they announce things.

Thailand isn't going to fair very well in the next US Human Rights report. They are setting themselves up for a huge failure.

Given anyone of a dozen or more countries around the world, Trump would have ended up as a harsh and uncompromising dictator.

Koh Tao Murders: Myanmar Journalists Urge Thai Press to ‘Reveal the Truth’
The problem is the Thai press has been handcuffed, hindered and hounded at every turn to try and uncover the truth.
-
We will never really know what the judges saw because they made it as difficult as possible to get the truth out. But I think enough of the truth came out to show these two are not guilty; at the very least they got a very biased trail.
I think the real travesty is seeing how brainwashed certain family members were in seriously believing these two young men got a fair trail.

Good! The quicker it is finished, the quicker it can be voted down and we can move onto the third iteration.
I figure it will take 5 more tries before something is acceptable to the people and that might be about enough for Mr. P to stop playing games and step down.
