  1. They should remove "Khun" Charee as well and he should be sued for negligence along with the beach management. The Phuket authorities should prohibit all monkeys from roaming free in tourist areas without suitable security and protections for tourists.

They should at least have large, clearly seen signs in several languages that warn all tourists. At a minimum, the signs should be in English, Chinese and Russian as that encompasses the largest groups of tourists to visit Thailand. Oh yes, the signs should be proofread by native speakers of each language.

  2. Will Thai authorities ever figure out what they really need to do to reduce traffic deaths / accidents?

My suspicion is they will take a few more decades to wake up to what they really have to do.

Until they introduce roving vehicle patrols that pull people over for all violations and dispense with these stupid, lazy check-points and start instituting much larger fines, then people will have no incentive to change their driving habits.

  3. Given a certain number of deaths there will certainly be accidental deaths, suicides and natural death's, but NOT ALL of them and yet they all seem to lead to a quick simple solution that requires no in depth investigating.

    What did he slip on?

What type of wound was on this head?

What did he hit his head on?

Was the wound consistent with where he hit his head.

    Come on reporter...report!

  4. "...Hence the case was taken to the State Council..." By who? The junta?

Providing assistance for malpractice suits is very questionable, but not paying for utilities.

Didn't Mr. P just assure us he wasn't going to change anything with the universal health care system. Something stinks here.

Sounds like someone is trying to mess with the health care system by doing an end run through the "State Council" whoever they are.

  5. "...visible progress has been negligible..."

You can put a huge amount of the blame for that on the junta. Since they have taken over the country has stagnated and will continue to stagnate until a dynamic Democratic government comes back into power. A government that actually works FOR THE PEOPLE and not for their own selfish needs.
