Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment in Thailand
Felt 35 replied to Felt 35's topic in Health and Medicine
Thanks Sheryl. Doctor fee for the injection is listed as included so are medicine (guess that is the Hyaluronic acid) and OPD facility and service charge but not doctor consultation. Listed in the package down right in the link. Anyway I keep asking myself if a injection with either Hyaluronic acid or PRP is for me! I mean is it for they who still are relatively activ and can do regular excercise included running or is it for they who are in so much pain that this is the last stage before knee replacement!? Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment in Thailand
Felt 35 replied to Felt 35's topic in Health and Medicine
Sheryl. I found the price in this link https://www.bumrungrad.com/en/centers/joint-replacement-surgery-sport-medicine-center-bangkok-thailand However maybe you can help me out with which one is most preferable of this two: Hyaluronic acid injection_Ostenil single short (3 sessions) or this: Hyaluronic acid injection_Hyruan ONE 1 Session Do this mean that the "Hyruan" is preferable and only one session needed but cost a bit more? Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment in Thailand
Felt 35 replied to Felt 35's topic in Health and Medicine
Thanks for replying Sheryl! I've been considering a combination of platelet rich plasma and hyaluronic acid injections, and as far as I've seen on the Bumrungrad Hospital website, at least they promote it. If they use it as a treatment and their experience using it is another thing! I don't know if Samitivej offers the combination, but have seen an article about PRP on their website. Felt -

Can someone with more knowledge of TV than myself be so kind as to tell me if I need a so-called decoder/ Tv set-top box to watch Thai TV programs on the TV in the link below! I'm asking because I'm not interested in an extra remote control and having tried Tv set-top box so that is never more. If I have to buy another greater screen size TV then I'd be happy to do that but this one was planned for bedroom. Btw, living in a condo with antenna/cable connection in/on the wall and usually most Tv`s can easily be used with plugging in the antenna cable. I use the above vitamins for arthritis and would like to bring some with me from Europe, but don't know if it is considered a narcotic drug in Thailand and don't want to risk getting in trouble at customs because of some boxes of vitamins bought over the counter here. So if anyone know I would be grateful for info. Thanks Felt

If so what are we on extension going to do with 90 days reports etc., when as myself travelling out in a few days and plan to return in October and then also most likely will need to re-register my address! I have an affordable health insurance in Thailand with a well known company often mentioned regarding insurance in this forum. It have a maximum limit per disability per policy year set as Thb 1,200,000. Hospital Expenses set as Thb 200,000,- Surgical Fee included pre-surgical assessment set as Thb 200,000,- plus all the other things set with different covers as room and board, intensive care, specialist consulatation fee, emergency OPD etc, etc,... Now, I had an accident a few months ago. Post traumatic pain have made it clear that I need a surgery and have been offered some surgery package's at a couple of hosptals in the range of Thb 300,000 - 400,000,- Will this insurance cover? I was hoping so due to a maximum limit on 1,200,000,- My Thai wife believe different because the Hospital expenses are set as Thb 200,000,- I have had this insurance some years and thankfully never needed it so have no previous claims. However I don't think its smart to ask the insurance company the above question because of eventually later exclusions even if I not use the insurance in this case, i.e. regarding further policies. I would be grateful for info about recommendations for a very good shoulder specialist in Bangkok or if recommended another province. Recently had an accident and the MRI and the main conclusion from the radiologist is as below. Full thickness full width tear of the supraspinatus tendon insertion with minimal medial tendon retraction (grade I), measured about 0.6 cm. - Infraspinatus and subscapularis tendinosis. - Tendinosis of LHBT in rotator cuff interval. - Thickening and increased SI of IGHL, CHL, probably sprain. - Focal flattening with marrow edema at superior posterolateral aspect of humeral head, suspected small Hill-Sachs lesion. - Marrow edema of anteroinferior glenoid rim and glenoid labrum tear at 2-6 o’clock region, suspected soft tissue Bankart lesion. Finding as described, suspected previous anterior shoulder dislocation. Please correlate with past history. - Widening of AC joint with disrupted inferior AC ligament and partial tear of CC ligament with soft tissue edema, probably grade II according to Rockwood classification. - Small amount of fluid in subacromial-subdeltoid bursa. I'm worried for the need to have a surgery. Not the surgery itself or the cost but due to relatively long recovery and the arm immobilized as far as I have understood is necessary with shoulder surgery so looking for an up and going specialist who not necessary see surgery as first choice. Thanks for any information. Felt
