  1. No and I did not even know what it was until I just now google it. Felt
  2. Thank you for replying. They tested hTSH T3 free T4. (Negative) / Troponin I (Negative) and then the thing which of all the test I think the doctor put most weight on the FDP D-Dimer (Sysmex) 2.540 ug/ml (H) / Glucose (Random) 88L mg/dl / Total Protein, Albumin, Globulin (L) / Sodium L, Anion gap (L) / Pro Brain Natriuretic Peptide 340 pg/ml / Red Bloodcells 3.83 (L), Hemoglobin 12.0 (L), Hematocrit 35.0 (L). Remark H = above reference, L= Below reference range. They did a chest x-ray and this electro thing with a a lot of cables to chest /legs and got no negative comments about that so probably normal. I have been quoted 25K for a CT whole abdomen with contrast and 20K for CTV extremities is that more or less the price in a private hospital? Btw, my blood pressure was in hospital yesterday 98/64 and have recently been lower than expected and admittedly I've been a bit low on energy lately. Lastly Iron, can I get good Iron supplement over the counter in Thailand or is Iherb best option? Thanks, Felt
  3. In the last 2-3 weeks both my ankles have swollen up and as of today I can barely fit my feet into a pair of trainers. I have taken various blood tests and an ultrasound of both legs (negative) Now the hospital will do a CT scan with contrast of the abdomen + CTV extremities as the doctor believes the swollen legs are due to what he think is a problem in the abdominal region which may be linked to cancer. (For the record, I rarely if ever have a stomachache) I have never had swollen ankles before in my life and with an active lifestyle of road cycling, jogging and swimming as well as a smoke/alcohol free existence, I have some issues with sharing the doctor's view. Anyway, If there is anyone on the forum who has experienced something similar, I hope they will share their experience. Thanks Felt
  4. Thanks for the replies. Any cost indication? I already have x-ray. Felt
  5. Does anyone know if there are hospitals / doctors in Bangkok and possibly can recommend a hospital that as far as possible use non-surgical treatment where the doctor will try to set the bones without surgery and use plastering / spica-cast for a broken thumb? Thanks Felt
  6. Thank you for replying. Did your better half add you to the property? Inform Accommodation>Add- Yes Did they export the PDF, and print it? - Do you mean print it out for me to keep in passport? If so- Yes If they did this in the last seven days you can search for the record - Yes and just searched now and I'm approved on the record. Felt
  7. Is there any possibility to check that T.m 30 is in order without visiting Immigration? The better half registered online and got it approved, but I'm not sure if my local Immigration office is that much up to date with what's happening online! Thanks Felt
  8. I have in all modesty read that list but as the publishers themselves say in plain text The authors are not lawyers or tax advisers. You, the reader, remain entirely responsible for your own financial and tax affairs. Having said that, I'm skeptical of nature and especially when it comes to tax departments, immigration etc. and I think that's common sense. Anyway, thank you for replying. Felt
  9. Can I then lower my shoulders and count on that this mean that interest earned on deposits in a foreign bank (in my case deposits in banks in the home country) is not taxable as long as neither the deposit interest nor the deposit is transferred to Thailand? Thanks Felt
  10. Thanks for that one. I have, knock on wood rarely needed medical treatment but getting older so that can change quickly but maybe I should go for their top plan covering 50million and premium 130K annually, but with a 300K deductible ending up with 50k premium I have got discount every year because I never have had any claim but last year that all turned when insurance company sent me a letter explaining that due to general increased cost for insurances, they upped the price with 10%. Felt
  11. Thanks for the replies. Will contact the insurance company and check what their policy are regarding deductible. Felt
  12. Probably a stupid question for those who know more about health insurance, but anyway, how does a health insurance with a deductible of, for example, THB 100,000 work if the hospital visit, for example, only costs THB 30,000? I've never had any "major" cases in terms of health, but 2-3 less serious, like last year suddenly for unknown reasons an infection in the skin which was inflamed, and a small operation had to be done plus going in and out of the hospital cleaning wounds for several weeks etc. In total, this cost no more than about THB 28,000 so my question is with a 100K deductible who paying then, the insured or the Insurance company? Btw, I have insurance but did not use it for the above occasion. Thanks Felt

  16. In my experience I have had to prove copies of passport and on the copies mark eventually departure/entry and in addition attached a short but polite note where I write my name and TIN number and the departure/entry's periods and sum up total days in Thailand for the actual tax year. Felt

  22. I personally don't think so, because then Immigration should accept the Tax payment Certificate and Certificate of Residence from the tax authority as proof of income for extensions. Which have been tried but with a big no from Immigration. Felt
