  4. General interest is not about me. ???? Do not Condemn like all the other posts on this forum. Well look at it the way you want but a public department /organisation include their laws which not can tolerate critic will never move forward. Felt????
  5. Out of general interest, it is really the case that a retired man cannot use a pension confirmation from his Embassy, which he has done for 15 years, for his annual application if he changes his visa status from a retirement visa to a married visa, but then have to deposit THB 400xxx even if his pension confirmation shows more than three times that sum and the pension proof is issued by one of the countries from which Thai immigration still accepts pension confirmation/income letter! Btw, personally, I'm not going to change my visa status, but if the above is the case, "those in brown" have lost my last bit of respect that was left. Felt
  6. Thanks, I also basically understood it this way, but with the wavering various IO offices are doing these days regarding T.M 30 even with a new law from 2020, one becomes skeptical. Felt
  7. No problem with that. I was just wondering if I might have to report in person to Immigration even though the aparthotel has done it and I have even been given a print out of their online T.M 30 registration to keep in my passport! Felt
  8. I hope you don't mean that both landlord and tenant must register T.M. 30 when renting an apartment where the landlord automatically registers the tenants as a resident of the property, whether it is for a long-term rental of an apartment or a hotel room for one night!????? Felt
  9. How is that swimming pool? I haven't been to Lumpini Park since November 2019 as I don't live in Bangkok permanent, but when I am there a walk/run in Lumpini Park is my first leisure goal. At the time I couldn't remember to had seen a swimming pool in Lumpini before but is it good and is lap swimming possible without noise, screaming and others who are not familiar with swimming pool etiquette? Btw, discrimination is discrimination no matter what it is about. Felt
  10. Just back from Immigration now and after presenting my passport and a copy of the apartment hotel's online registration to one of the Immigration's information volunteers, I was told that no other registration is necessary and he simply removed the previous notifications and inserted the last registration made by the apartment hotel I live. Felt
  11. I live in an smaller apartment - hotel in Phuket and the landlord has now finally updated the computer system and have started register guests to Immigration online whether you rent for a longer period or just a night or two as a hotel guest, and when I came back at the weekend I got a print out of a slip where name, passport number and apartment name are noted. Is this good enough for immigration or do I still have to go to immigration with a stack of passport copies and T.M 30 to get "receipt for notification" stapled in the passport? Thanks Felt
  12. Here's the thing...????interesting or maybe better said saddly...lawyers know, some foreigners know, but not the legislature???? Thailand to Relax Rules on T.M.30 Immigration Requirements - Tilleke & Gibbins
  13. The cost of clean air in Thailand (who.int) Air pollution responsible for 29,000 deaths across 31 Thai provinces in 2021— Greenpeace - Greenpeace Southeast Asia
  14. No kick to you directly, but Hua Hin is certainly not recommended for a "smoke-free holiday" as many days it is more polluted there than both Bangkok and provinces with general high pollution. Felt
  15. You are sure right in what you say however the form they handed me and I filed was TM28. Felt
  16. I don't know if I should just bow and say thanks, laugh or cry????????, but when I asked about the current regulations regarding the need or not to register address in a province outside the province of residence when staing for a shorter period of time, I got a blank expression back. Case closed. Now what I ended up with was 2 notifications of address in the passport. The one I previously had from Phuket and now one from Hua Hin. As I was never aware that I could have two addresses in Thailand, I asked if this was at all according to the book and was then almost laughed at with the message that many people have two addresses. Not only that, I got the message that I can also make a 90-day report in which of the two provinces I at that time stay. I don't know if this is completely in "accordance" and pass the ball over to "Ubonjoe" to ask what experience he have with this. Felt
  17. It was this rules I had in mind but as many posters say interpretation of the rules varies from office to office so will go to Hua Hin Immigration tomorrow, Felt
  18. Home residence in Phuket. Condo stay visiting friend one month in Hua Hin. Felt
  19. That's life! Those who burden the system (any system) the least become the scapegoat for everyone else. Below the exact wording from PC about cost increse. So my 20% no claim bonus is suddenly just 13%???? Please be advised that this year your base premium has increased by 7% to take into account, amongst other external factors, rising healthcare expenses and inflation. This adjustment applies to all policies commencing from 01/09/2022. Felt
  20. To avoid any problems from rules I am not up to date on I allow me to ask what the current rules regarding stay in a province other than the province of residence as long as it is not a permanent move? Thanks Felt
  21. Nothing in my insurance policy says anything about regular price increases. On the other hand, I have an acquaintance (Thai) who incidentally is the manager of an well known insurance company in the Southern region of Thailand and he says it straight when I commented about one of their accident insurances and how bad the coverage was now compared to when I previously had the same insurance over many years with them and he says the insurance companies are struggling in Thailand and most often the insured ends up with higher premiums and worse coverage than just a few years ago.
  22. Well, I don't want to "hang anyone on the wall" but there are probably others who have observed that there have been some changes among employees in some health insurance companies both during covid-19 and lately and most likely due to save on employment costs. I'll end the subject there but allow me to say "New dust brooms don't always do a better job than an old ones" Felt
  23. t seems they (Pacific Cross) increase the price even without claim. I just got the bill for the coming year's insurance and a 7% increase was excused with higher insurance costs. Just as the insured also does not have higher costs due to higher living costs year after year. So far never claimed coverage for anything and been with them for 5 years. No insurance in Thailand is, in my opinion, across the board as much trickery as an insurance agent manages to get out of his head with promises during a consultation. Felt
