No they haven't or at least they have never sent any me any such Emails. Lets see how this works out I am pretty sure most Thai's won't be bothered to go to a Bank to verify the NDID service just to keep or open a PayPal account. Paypal are going to loose a lot of Thai customers as well.

I completely agree this whole mask thing is probably affecting Children the most starting from Education and can you imagine how backwards the kids must be after learning online for 3 years? They don't even see the expressions on their parents faces so how will they ever develop any social skills. Maybe some don't even recognize their parents now that's very sad. The whole mask thing was only hyped to up to keep SOE in place. Yes I absolutely 100% agree everyone to their own but there's a group of Thai's lets call them Maskers they tend to be older influential people in communities who are bullying others who don't want to wear masks into wearing them do you agree with that or not? One example and there are many Banks force people to wear masks even when they don't want to.

Many places won't let you in without a mask for example Banks. Also temples my wife went without a mask and got told to wear one in public now she won't take it off for fear of getting scolded in public again.

In a way it does effect people when they are judged and forced to wear a mask by those who continue wearing masks.

It's all about hierarchy and importance in Thailand and I guess spouses of cabinet ministers are above the riff raff. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't have police escorts when driving and only use the right lane. See a lot of that these days didn't used to.

Some exposure to Viruses is good thing as it will help develop a strong immune system so we are ready for the next Covid when it comes. Personally I haven't had a cold or Flue in like 15 years and not had Covid yet either even though I don't wear a mask but I know people who wear masks and have had Covid twice.

The reason Thai's are still wearing masks is that they want to perceived as being good people and they are worried to be judged or bullied for not wearing one. If you see Thai's glaring at you in supermarkets when you don't wear one it's because you are being Judged as not a good person. It's all part of being a Buddhist nothing to do with Covid anymore.

Well if you are selling on line I can tell you PayPal is still the most popular payment method in the WORLD for selling internationally. One example ETSY only payout through PayPal. There are alternatives but not as easy or reliable as Paypal. Noted PayPAl is not as good now as 5 years ago but it's still the best. Can you please give alternative that are better if you know them??

Sorry I disagree Paypal has a choice about how they confirm customer identification in Thailand and they have chosen and by not force to use the NDID system which is a private company not government. There are alternatives like manually confirming ID's but that's probably just to much work for them.

Thailand has some of the toughest laws concerning money laundering puts even EU regulations to shame makes it very difficult to send any funds out of the country.
