Well. there is something that you can try to do. You must have someone that you can trust in thailand and give him a power of attorney. You can find those power of attorney in a pre filled module in book shops...
If he is a thai citizen it would be better I guess.
For the car you can write all the forms for the transfer including copy of your passport and give it to your friend as well. You must be more specific, by the way. -

Usually when I give ID, or visit Thai parks or attractions, I use the Pink Card and avoid any Falang pricing. So basically I like having it, it helps prove residency and separates you from the Tourists. Its not the end-all-be-all of existence, but I like having as much working in my favor as possible. So to each their own, but I like having it, and its not all that hard to get, so why not?
No, it doesn't. It's state that you are not a thai citizen on it, therefore it's up to them anyway. In chiang mai does not works out

I just read a report where the Calabrian mafia hold ten percent of Thailand's national debt, wonder if he's connected.
"Their gun-running business directly affected the destiny of nations: Franco Roberti, head of Italy’s anti-mafia directorate, told me the ’Ndrangheta was selling weapons to several sides in Syria’s civil war. But it was laundering their riches and those of other crime groups from around the world, which the Calabrians did for a fee, that made the ’Ndrangheta a global power. Millions of people worked in their companies, shopped in their stores, ate in their restaurants, lived in their buildings and elected politicians they funded. Giuseppe Lombardo, a Calabrian prosecutor specializing in the ’Ndrangheta’s finances, told me that by buying up the government debt of two Asian countries, Thailand and Indonesia, then threatening to dump it, the ’Ndrangheta had blackmailed entire nations into letting it operate on their territory. Their money, said Lombardo, had elevated the group to a position of invulnerability. They now occupied a "fundamental and indispensable position in the global market," he said, one that was "more or less essential for the smooth functioning of the global economic system."
Come on, serioulsy you believe this bunch of bullshits??

Finally Thailand is N.1 at something!
When they will learn that all this viability made of constant U-turn on high speed roads are one of the main issue? Closing the U-turns and building roundabouts could save a lot of people. Instructing them about priorities of way in intersection and such should also make a difference... -
and stupid people will install it. I bet there are bugs that collects informations and location of the user

No wonder that these groups comes up. Their country has been literally invaded, as the rest of Europe

I've got the same problem, as I have a beautiful child too. I don't say because is mine, really have people stopping and staring at him.
It depends on the situation, sometimes I let them take a photo, few times I went rude and push them to delete it, because the situations were uncomfortable.
If you really expect them to ask you a permission to do that you can forget about it. I don't think thais are polite people, not in the western way perhaps.
thais are changing their politeness and behave depending of who they have in front of them, their respect is proportional on how much they "fear" you.
They would never do something like that to a high rank official without asking permission first, in fact thais they are not polite, they just undergo their miserable caste system. There are many things that unfortunately we have to face everyday here, it's up to us the way we face or avoid them.

refuse boarding for what? Does is behave concern them? Stop all the sex tourist from Us and Europe to come to Pattaya then...what a nonsense bullshit

Yes its filthy and extremely polluted that's why I will never swim in it, or eat thai seafood. Waste and sewage is drained directly into the sea, when you treat your environment as a toilet what do you expect.
i don't think is enough, but maybe i am wrong rayong area is deeply industrialized, could be a pollution from heavy metals throw in the river....but the fukushima story looks also very disturbing. also i would like to see an autopsy and fidure out how muxch plastic those poor whales had in the stomach.

My guests were given the option of paying double pricing, that has now gone unless they decide to make their own way which is highly unlikely.
Also just heard that visitors from HK now need to carry 5K HKD cash ( About 25,000THB) to enter the illustrious kingdom. They really do need to have a complete rethink of the current " lets try and piss off tourists" approach.
The shit they got with Hong Kong is justified. The only right thing perhaps...

You might check that your UK photo card license is still valid, if you want to drive in the UK. Apparently the first 2 year Thai licence is temporary and not a valid document in the UK, a bit like a provisional licence.
once you get it for one year and expires, then you can renew it for 5. when you old a 5 years thai driving licence you can apply for a international driving licence fron thailand
