Also, I am surprised this topic hasn't been closed - discussing moderation.
It's not being discussed, it's being praised

Came here 12 years ago and have never gone back to Blighty.
I love it here
LOS is not for everyone. It isn't paradise but it is much better than UK.
I don't think you will find many dissenters here.
If you have left LOS with bad feelings you are not likely to be spending much time on TV

You haven't said if it is mettalic paintwork or not, but assuming it is, you can expect to pay 2000baht for each panel to be sprayed.
Are they asking for 2800 baht total , or is it 2800 for a bonnet and then spraying on top ?

If you are looking for something to sell then try taking a suitcase full of cables back home.

Chiang Saen used to be a sleepy, 2 horse town on the riverside with nothing going on.
I was surprised at how much it had changed last time I went there.
The new riverport has made it a busier place and there is a fair bit of new building going on.
There still isn't much there but it is changing.

That rear cargo design sounds good.
Any info on the engine
PS That link needs cleaning up

I have a spare car battery in the car port. Should I hide it?
I would hide it if I were you.
It might be painful if it got lodged in your Meckel Point and if if were to puncture your urine bladder you might have to stop drinking for an hour.

You already have one voltage stabiliser built into the dashboard to make sure the gauges give an accurate reading .
So what were the advantages your guy told you about ?

Finding the right size jets here in LOS may be a problem.
I think you are right to go for an SU.
SU's are good for economy, have an adjustable jet and no diaphagms to split. If the dashpot is worn you can work around it by using a thicker oil until the parts arrive.

With that sort of money you could buy enough votes to become PM

Why don't you write to the man, as a friend, and warn him that the father has found out and has promised to kill him.

I do not agree with sticking to one make of tyre.
Different tyres will be better on different vehicles.
My Porsche was great on Dunlops or Goodyear but rubbish on Pirelli's
My Citroen was great on Michelin but crap on other brands.
My Cooper S was great on Avons but crap on Goodyear.
Choose a tyre that suits your car.

When you increase the carb size you will get a better top end a slightly poorer bottom end.
Fuel comsumption will depend on the jetting you use.

I usually change my tyres every 2 years.
With 80k kms on the clock I still have half the tread left.
The road surfaces here are less abrasive and so wear the tyres less.

JD, surely you know by now, we want pictures.
Now stop being a pussy and share them with us all.

I must admit though... when it comes to tiling, Thais are very good.
They have to be because the walls and floors are never straight

Looks great. Count me in.
Just a small question. Once underway it will be impossible to get off to relieve oneself. Is that barrel full of beer or does it have another function ?

I am not convinced that heat/humidity is the answer.
I like Bung's theory it makes sense.
If aircon does reduce battery life because of a high discharge rate then that would explain my Toyota/Isuzu battery life of 2 versus 4 years.
The Toyota has heater plugs the Isuzu doesn't .
