  1. The lack of discipline in Thai kids from the time they are born is responsible for this outcome. Especially young boys, kick a cat - everybody laughs, pulls a dogs ear - everybody laughs, tips a table full of food - everybody laughs, kicks a ball and breaks a window - everybody laughs, then it moves on..... mum i need money - okay son here you go, mum i need a phone - okay son here you go, mum i need a motorbike - okay son here you go! never disciplined throughout their younger growing up days, no sense of right or wrong.... and here we are... he looked at me wrong so i stabbed him in the back!!

    Pickup rear-ended a stationary trailer.

How did he manage to knock off one of his own rear wheels and mangle the pickup bed?

    Quote

The truck driver, Mr. Chamnarn 58, explained that he had parked his trailer on the roadside to relieve himself. As he was about to re-enter his vehicle, he saw the pickup truck driver lose control, veer toward the median strip, and swerve back, colliding with the trailer’s tail end.

Does that mean the Chinese will no longer be able to purchase a rather large and strategically placed parcel of land coming up for sale in BKK and build a hotel on it?

If they let us own land they would not have this problem of nominees. Seems like the racist Thais want our money but they don't want us.

Not a truer statement ever said.  Why can we not own 1 or 2 ria?  We are not hurting the majority of Thais that cannot afford to buy it!

totally agree.  we have been shopping at TOPPS for the last year with occassional stops at Villamart (Latkrabang) I have been buying olive oil for years and the past year the prices have more than doubled now about 700-800 baht, for unfiltered apple cider vinegar - 650-700 baht, and then yesterday at Villamart I was looking for rolled oats )(1 kilo) from US was 600 baht!!!!! I buy from UK or Aus for less than 300 (organic) or less than 200 from Australia.  I read about the olive groves in Spain and those problems to try to explain why the great increase but looking at some of the fruits and veggies even local, I am amazed that the locals can afford to shop there at all.  I guess it is like the complaints from the Americans in the US - the explanations for the high costs of groceries and other items is due to the inflation during the pandemic period - that is over, inflation is barely above 2% now so why are the prices still so high there too?  Guess the rich just need to get richer to keep up with their neighbors.  Same with the big pharma folks and health insurers - now I see their member costs are for "Cadillac coverage" based on the costs!  getting extremely expensive.

Wow, you shop at the two most expensive shops in Thailand for foreign foods!!

They have been in discussions on this for 7 years that I know of - probably much longer.  Apparently with a few tweaks Burriram circuit would be up to standard but the location and availability of accommodation put it out of contention.

As I said in an earlier post - if Liberty Media or the FIA get the slightest whiff of corruption, all will be over. I suspect there'll be slightly more than a whiff of it.

Can you imagine the FIA issuing a spec, the Thai's agreeing to it and then building it the 'Thai way'? it would get knocked back at every inspection. They would be totally baffled as to why the 'inspections' can't be sorted out over dinner. They just wouldn't get it - follow a spec? Fully? Correctly?

FIA, they joking chai mai Somchai?

The Burriram Circuit is up to spec, already has FIA approval, but for testing only at this stage. The major downfall is the lack of a nearby major head trauma unit (or it was at the time), but although not mentioned, yes, lack of accommodations and infrastructure in general would probably still prohibit it.

They're attempting to trademark a common hippo?

Not a common hippo, a Pygmy hippo, massive difference in size even when full grown, these rarely get above 250Kg and are an endangered species, Normal hippos range from 1500kg to 4000Kg, So, this one not common!! Obviously they could not trade mark the animal itself, but trade marking the name "Moo Daeng" would allow them to control use of that name for Merchandising, Tik Tok, Line stickers etc., smart move!
