  1. It appears that everyone I talk to that sells Satellite dishes confirms, there is no way to get Fox News on a small dish.

It's also unclear if you can get it with the large dish providers like:

    http://www.jsat.tv

    http://www.samart-eng.com/

If you have ADSL you could go with IP TV

    http://portal.trueinternet.co.th/bbtv/checkCoverage.jsp

Or you could use a Sling Box and have someone in the USA pass it to you, along with everything else

It amazes me that UBC offers such a poor selection and have not changed their lineup for years now.

I was told that Fox news license could be purchased for 250,000 baht a year by Jsat.tv. If anyone has more information please

    let me know.

  2. I'm in the very same situation, I want my Fox News, I'd love some late night Leno.. and the only thing

I can get is UBC and their selection is horrible.

I did check out Samart Satellite at Siam Paragon department store, but I can't find a channel line up for

them. The guy there did say they had Fox News.. and the usual other stuff.. HBO, Cinemax etc.

Samart is not a monthly subscriber deal, it's only problem in my eyes is their 6 foot dish. I'd love to see

the community I live in give us the option of having a Samart provider in addition to what they now offer.

If anyone can confirm what channels Samart has that would be great, unfortunately have called them

twice and both times.. they said they would email me a list. Of course.. it was never done.

Maybe another effort could be made by a bunch of us to email UBC and tell them to add Fox News, MSNBC

    and a couple others.

  3. Skype was down today which is a real bummer, this situation has me looking for a alternative solution.

Those new SIP phones look pretty sweet and I'd like to pick one up in Bangkok, this one for example:

It's a Grandstream product, there are many others listed here as well:

Any feedback on the quality of Gizmo compared to Skype?

Also if you have feedback, how is it with VPN service like
