I'm not being an apologist for their actions, but just for parity’s sake, why aren't the minor’s faces blotted out? If these were Thai minors then their faces would be hidden or blotted out...just sayin...

Exactly who I want to handle my money: a banker who makes his decisions based on his horoscope.
I dunno, the DOW can be a bit of a horoscope at times

If they can hear me, then they'll be looking for me. The good thing about the Superbike Ducati's, is the intake noise is just as noticeable to the folks in front of you when you're coming up behind them in traffic.Obviously a very loud exhaust pipe is a must. It is the ultimate attention seeker modification, and at the same time it has the ability to annoy everyone around you. You could almost say you get two of the most important bike modifications for the price of one.
Indeed.. and the exact reason I removed the baffles from my Vance and Hines exhaust.

Definitely a huge improvement with mine, then suspension setup and crash protection. I then got the titanium & exotic super alloys bug. The rest is historyUpgraded brake lines and (especially) pads- the extra few feet they might buy you can mean the difference between walking away from a close call and being carried away. I realize this isn't an appearance mod (though the lines look cool).

I used to like chickens before I came to Thailand.
I have gotten used to the noise now though. We have half a dozen roosters and their many concubines wandering around the yard and crowing at the edge of my bedroom window at all hours.
But I would have em all in the freezer if I could. They belong to my mother in law and apparently she loves em. That is until she crushes their heads with a sling shot. and chops them up.
A regular cull happens at out place as well. Normally through me saying nicely to my wife and MIL: 'don't you think we have too many roosters now?'

If you have a smart phone or tablet and obviously a car mount, you can use apps like Auto Guard Pro. Crash recording etc plus others like on command background recording, so that you can still use your GPS and the camera function is still working,

Look up Bwash Thailand. Facebook or Google it. The guy does excellent work. Has all the latest coatings from Japan. Pretty intensive process. Plenty of photos on his Facebook page: he does Lamborghini's, Mercs etc, right down to scooters.Hello,
I hate having choice, this is so ridiculous, why don't they sell only 1, the best one ?
Can you tell me what to choose ?
Thanks.
If you hate choice so much, I'm guessing you drive either a Vigo or a Fortuner, and the whole dating thing has been driving you nuts your whole life?
In any case, the best has already been revealed here - it's glass coating with a 250 week advantage over the rest When it comes to spray-on wipe-off detailers, just choose the one that smells best to you, because that's the only product you're going to be using regularly once you have glass
I hate choosing stupid things as detergent or car wax !!!
Just sell me the best price and that's all, why having dozen of different products as if it was not just retardd marketing !
So you mean that nothing beats glass coating at 50000 thb ? But do you really trust these shops that open and close daily ?
Giving 50000 to a monkey who might not be here tomorrow anymore to make sure that what he did on my car was good enough is a bit risky...
And no, I do not drive a Japanese car, otherwise I don't think I would even care washing it !!!

I believe that was a common complaint.
Thais on average weigh 59kg (this includes both men and women- while the average for only men would be higher, my guess is that the disparity when compared to men of western countries would be greater)- Americans weigh 82kg- that's a pretty big variation, and it would be impossible to set up a single suspension component that would be suitable for the majority of both rider populations, especially with a bike that has a low seat height (which further limits the amount of adjustability and travel).
I wasn't complaining when I bought the bike, but considering it was an import, I was expecting (read: hoping) that the previous owner had upgraded it. I'm around 94kgs wihout gear, so ultimately change was inevitable. My pride and joy is a work in progress

I know my 999S was bottoming out under heavy braking in the front & with the back under rough, undulating roads. New front and rear springs from the US sorted that out. It was a whole new motorcycle after that, as my kidneys weren't trying to remove themselves anymore

A leak down & compression test are two separate entities.A leak down compression test does not locate the source of the leak(s) in a cylinder, only relative leakage rate.
Visual and audio cues can identify the location.
Used pistons serve well as ashtrays.

Garry , a rought guide is to crank the engine over with a compression tester fitted , and see how quickly the pressure escapes. Your doing it the better way. May i ask how much the S-O tool is .
Around USD$300...there is supposedly a SnapOn dealer in Thailand, but I would rather run the Thai Customs Gauntlet than trying to buy locally at more than likely inflated prices beyond reasonable expectations
I meant to add, that a compression tester is fine for a basic check, but a leak down tester will show you exactly where the problem/s lay
If you want to make your own version. Here is a 'How-To' on YouTube:

And an easy enough way to check initial engine health before a possible tear down is via a leak down check. In my travels, I have asked several bike shops (not the backyard boys) in Thailand if they have a Leak Down Tester and every time I get that 'deer in a spotlight' look. Such a great tool to check the combustion chamber's sealing health. Also the reason I'm buying my own from SnaponIs it wise to have an engine rebuild when there's seemingly nothing wrong with the engine?

I was wondering when Winglets would not look like add-ons, but part of the natural symmetry of the wing itself

Unfortunately for Thailand I do not know, though I haven't looked. I used walnut shot in Australia on aircraft & motorcycle components. It is very non-abrasive and takes a bit longer to work, but it is a lot more gentle on the reduced changes to the surface finish.can you but walnut shells here?

Walnut shot compound is best for clean blasting from my experience. The walnut shot won't damage internal components and will break down/soften in oil. Glass or plastic shot I would avoid like the plague if you have open cases and you can't barrier them from ingress of the shot.

Aren't they also the one's that say that they 'drive' a motorcycleDo any other new bike riders also try to fasten their seatbelt before setting off sometimes? Or is it just me?!

If you really want to find out and have access to her phone, install a few spy aps on her phone like FlexiSpy that runs in the background intercepting phone calls, sms and social media communications and sends it all straight to you
I'm fairly certain if found out, he can be charged under the 'computer crimes act' in Thailand . I'm not saying don't do it, but be aware of the consequences if someone were to make a complaint

Hs anyone ever seen a new set of traffic lights installed anywhere? They dont mind putting millions of new cars on the road and collecting the revenue from that but has any of these roads been updated with safety measures? Ive never seen a set of traffic lights in chiang mai that doesn't look 20 years old.
I would love to see Red Light cameras instaleld in Thailand and heavy penalties for the red light runners if caught. Okay, I'm daydreaming again

I do not believe he is interested in a frank, open discussion.
I brought up the fact that another poster called me an idiot. I invited him to discuss my points - no reply. Except to agree with the other poster.
Either he scared himself so bad that he gave up riding a motorcycle above 10hp, or is using this forum - and this thread - to advance a position he freely admits he has no knowledge of.
Them that can - ride. Them that can't - well, see for yourself.
Yes, it looks that way. He behaves the same on another thread about road safety. He rubbishes other posters by saying they don't know what they are talking about yet he does not post anything constructive related to his so called knowledge and experience.
There's all kinds I guess.
The perfect example of an iinternet troll comes to mind.

If it was brought out as a pure tourer style, the power and fuel efficiency of a turbo power package on mountainous roads would be ideal.

The uncertainties of riding a motorcycle
Some asked for what they got.
Others did not
Some were just plain unlucky
Such is life
How true...

Maybach in Thailand (continued)
in Thailand Motor Discussion

Nice review. Mercedes is playing it smart by offering the two new models at way cheaper prices and I agree with both presenters, there should be a Maybach hood emblem. I laughed when she was talking about 'Bling Bling'
