  1. the shops that sell auto sound systems build speaker boxes and might sell you some

a couple of audo shops on the same street as the original Kasem Store also build speaker boxes

Thanks Dante99, that might be the way to do it, but really I wanted to build my own.
  2. Now you know how to ask for it, just try the local moma and papa shop. Mine sells them in rocks for I think 40 Baht a kilo - last time I bought them. That was about a year ago, and the kilo was just so I could give most to friends and share the love! Most people aren't even aware of them and end up with stinky chemicals under their arms... I am alum salt crystals all the way and my pits smell perfectly - of nothing much!

  3. It sounds mean, but I only want a small amount of MDF To build a centre speaker cabinet with (just 4 x 4" wide range drivers in a row, so not large). Does anyone know where I can buy half, or even quarter sheets?

It's not so much the price (although cheaper is good!), as not wanting to store the leftover 90% of a sheet for the next how many years until I find a use for it.

All ideas much appreciated. Thank you.

  4. Panic over, you can all relax now, lol

Just as an FYI, we got a 2 month old bitch flown to Chiang Mai from a "verified breeder" in Udon Thani for the princely sum of 3,800 Baht including the flights, vaccination card (first one done), a nice food sample for the changeover, a proper plastic carrier box, and even with a little jacket on - full kudos to the attentive seller, who even included a nappy style bedding material to wick the pee pee away!

That's got to be the best value bitch in Chiang Mai...

I can share breeder details if anyone is interested.

  5. One method that maybe worth trying, is to purchase about 10 light weight aluminium or metal medium size washing up bowls and place them above the ceiling. These bowls will absorb some of the heat.

Terrific idea, perhaps one of the all time best on Thai Visa. I am already filling my attic with metal bowls. Does anyone know where I can get another thousand?

That's the best laugh I've had in a while! Why not put large heavy chunks of cast iron up there, or clay bricks? They could absorb some of the almost endless supply of daytime heat and re radiate it at night ensuring a more even roasting! Lol

  6. Hi fellas, I am PS3 only (pretty much only play GT6 at the moment), and JAF! You are right, my wheel isn't for PS4. Lazada doesn't currently have a wheel that works on PS4.

Happy to provide assistance to anyone making a rig. I'll take some better photos and share some dimensions sometime soon!

Let's see if we can get this Facebook page active. Please post stuff on it!

  7. I only got my PS3 for GT6. It is a fantastic racing game, especially with the Logitech G27 wheel I just bought from Lazada here in Thailand. Anyone fancy an occasional meet up and race on-line?

I just made a DIY racing pod too - loving it! I've attached a photo; just to show off a bit, lol. wai2.gif

I've also set up a Facebook group that might be useful in getting people together. If you are interested in getting together online go to the Facebook group "Playstation Online Gaming, Thailand (English)" and join us... This is intended for all games, not just racing!

    My PSN name is JimShortz007

  8. I would pay more for a farang car than a dealer car if the farang bought it new. I'd know where it came from, could form an opinion of the farang and how he lives taking care of other things, and in general be more comfortable about what I was buying.

A couple of years ago a lot of cars were flooded. They should have been totalled, but were they? There are often floods in Thailand where cars are flooded. What happens to them?

Buying a used car is always a gamble but I wouldn't buy from a Thai tent.

I'll be there again. Lots of lovely food and coffee last time, as well as the bargains. Breakfast awaits!

  9. I love my Miniature Pinscher; she is remarkably smart, loyal and protective.... Having had many dogs of all sizes before, I've found her to be perfect for my life here. She isn't yappy, but is a good little guard dog, with "full body " barks, and she would surely die to defend our family. She just doesn't know that she is tiny! And I'm not going to be the one to tell her and shatter her Doberman illusions... ?

She does, however, love comfort more than any other dog I have ever had the pleasure to know. She loves a nice cushion to sit on - even on top of the sofa. I think there may be a princess and the pea thing going on here... Lol.
